We have taken our kids there for years. We have decided to make a change. We never see the doctors. This is a big place where u only see nurse practitioners. The turnover for the nurse practitioners is extremely high. Nobody cares about you there. You can never talk to the doctor, he's always busy. I was getting billed for stuff that wasn't done and stuff that was done years ago. The staff is not friendly. The last straw was my sons 6 year checkup. I waited over an hour in the room. I started to make a fuss so they send back a student...... I said no, at the very least I want to see a NP. Another 20 minutes went by and I left. Wonderful Pediatrician's Office. the walls in the waiting room, hallways, and exam rooms are decorated in brightly colored, Disney characters that appear hand painted...an excellent vibe for a pediatricians. The doctors and nurses are all very friendly and they genuinely care about each child that comes through. They also separate their appointment times each day so that regularly scheduled appts (kids who are not sick) are not in at the same time as kids who are sick, which helps cut down on any extra colds! read more

I have brought my kids there since my 1st child was born, 21 years ago. The last appointment ruined my opinion of this place and we are now moving on. I brought my 15 year old son in for his yearly physical and he was seen by someone that we had never met before. My son is 5'5 and 190 pounds. Although that sounds like an obese child, he is all muscle. He works out every single day and is in fantastic shape. The doctor told him to lose weight and that he is obese. I questioned the Dr. about this and all he said was he should go to the gym to lose weight now gain muscle. According to the charts, he is obese. My son has a 28 waist and doesn't have an ounce of weight to lose. ABSURD. After the Dr. left the room, we waiting an hour for the nurse to come in to give him a shot. For years we saw Bo and this place went way downhill after he left. read more

My experience this far with Summerwood (in the Camillus office) is not spectacular. My baby was asked to return for weight checks at least seven times after she was born, some of those checks being only two days apart, and I wasn't told that each weigh-in would cost a hundred bucks. I think this many weigh-ins were unnecessary when even after she was not quite gaining enough, no solution was offered until I kind of figured things out on my own. I was also told that I didn't have to pay co-pays because I was in there two or three times a week just to put my baby on a scale, yet when the bill came, every single co-pay was added to it. In addition, the receptionists aren't very friendly. They barely make eye contact and when they do they look annoyed or tired (which is understandable but please don't be rude to me because of it). The pediatrician a have always been extremely pleasant and mostly helpful. If it weren't for them I would probably choose a different place to take my baby because I'm always uncomfortable when I go to this office. read more

I left for several reasons. Like others, I experienced long wait times in the lobby with the Mickey pictures and was unimpressed by the staff. Personally, in spite of the Mickey pictures, there's still something unwelcoming about those offices. It wasn't uncommon to hear screaming kids from the back which was a little unsettling. During one appointment, my infant's son head was accidentally banged against the edge of the weight machine when they were scooting him down. They apologized greatly and took appropriate measures to address the situation at the time, but it stuck with me. The overall experience at the office and staff also didn't help things. They seem unfriendly and dismissive (and yes, I would agree with them seeming "annoyed" as another reviewer posted). When I switched pediatricians, I noticed I wasn't billed as much. Like another reviewer, I believe I may have also been billed for something way after the fact (like a year) but I didn't keep close enough tabs on things to really be sure, so I never formally questioned it, although it did seem in error to me. Overall, the experience at this office has been appalling and I'm under the impression they are more focused on making profits. read more

We took our kids here for years but we want to change now. The office staff seems to have gotten nastier over the years. We like the Doctors there but the staff seem to be extremely angry and annoyed. Also be warned - the wait for an appointment is MONTHS. We called to make an appt May 25th and the earliest we could get in is Aug. 5th! That is outrageous! read more

Had a problem with insurance company and a bill. Finally had it resolved and called to make an appointment for my son for a physical and they will not see us anymore because of the insurance company! I would never recommend this office to anyone! It had nothing to do with myself or my child but we have to suffer because of it...... For being a patient for 8 years you think they would be a little more cutomer friendly because of this! read more

They are great if your child is always healthy. However if your child is sick dont expect them to call you back, ever. They are incredibly incompetent when it comes to communicating with each other and hopeless when it comes to communicating with parents. Don't waste your time here. read more

Very unhappy with this office. I started going to this practice when my child was born and left when my child turned the age of 1. My child was behind on milestones that needed to be addressed and each time I would come in for a follow up appointment the providers would be clueless as to what was going on with my child and recommend the child to therapy. My child is in therapy and when I would come in for the next follow up appt. the provider would say they are concerned and wanted me to have my child put in therapy. I would say they already are in therapy and have been for months, They never seem to review my child's chart before they come in the room. They kept saying they were concerned about the size of my child's head and wanted to order an ultrasound. At 9 months of age my child had an ultrasound ordered by this office. Then every follow up appt. afterwards the provider would be concerned with the size of the head and want to order an ultrasound. I would have to tell them that we already had the ultrasound and it was normal. The provider would look at me with a blank look and act like they had no idea this was ordered. REVIEW THE CHART BEFORE YOU COME IN THE ROOM. SO YOU KNOW WHY THE CHILD IS THERE!!!!!! We felt like just another number there. I wouldn't waste your time with this office. Your children deserve the best of care and your not going to get it here. I am very happy that I choose to leave and now very happy with our new office. Now I just wish I made this move much sooner. read more
