I am disappointed with the customer service , when I was finally was connected yo agent she accepted my problem see below, but was unable to help. I arrived back in Florida on the 7th, after an absence of 9 months, and could not get access to my TV channels. After some time tuning into various channels and screens I was able to connect. I received a bill on 2nd February for movies which, I never ordered. I accept that whilst trying to set up the TV i inadvertently pressed a button. I'm not sure if summit can check that the movie was not watched i.e. that it was only loaded for a few seconds, if they can then I consider it reasonable ti expect them to. cancel the charge. Its not a great amount however, given I paid for the service which appeared to be disconnected for nine months when I was back home, I do not consider this to be an unreasonable request. read more

I emailed the website three times with screenshots and they gave me a number which I have now attempted to call three times to pay my bill. I am a remote worker so I need a reliable, fiber internet connection. Summit Broadband has been extremely unreliable during my time as a customer. Numerous extended outages greater than 24 hours in length has caused me to be unable to use the service for remote work on many occasions. The customer service is non existent and the reasons for the outages varies depending on who you speak with. The service is simply horrible. I would recommend ANY alternatives to Summit Broadband. First time having Summit, for my installation the communication was very poor as I received 3-4 different answers from service reps about when my tech would be coming! Summit Broadband is the worst ISP I've ever had to deal with. I've spoken to 2 reps in 2 months who have confirmed there was a billing issue with my account, and both have told me they would submit an escalation to get it corrected. After 2 months nothing has been resolved and I spoke to a rep today, Jim who was 100% useless. He had no idea what he was doing and gave an attitude when it came to asking for a supervisor. And rather than transferring me, he lied and said that someone would call me back. Realizing this rep didn't want to do anything to help me out, I hung up and I'm reaching out again. Without a doubt the absolute worst Cable provider possibly in North America. For a company that allegedly provides Video, Telephone and Internet service, they are pathetic. Having delt with Comcast / Xfinity for over 3 decades, their service needs improvement but compared to Summit, they are near perfect. Waiting for Customer Service to report a problem takes over 45 minutes typically unless you call at 3:00AM! I would suggest individuals purchasing individual Service look elsewhere and for Condo or Home Owner Associations, if you sign a long term contract with them, you will regret it before the ink is dry! read more

I rented their equipment due to their recommendactions. I owned my own TiVo machine but they told me to rent theirs because they would service their own equipment if there is a problem. When their TiVo equipment failed last Monday I called for service. Not one of our tvs was able to be used without this machine. The earliest they could schedule someone to come and bring a new machine was EIGHT days later. I told them that was unacceptable and I would bring the equipment to their business to swap it out and set it up myself. They said that wasn't possible. This company truly doesn't care about it's customers. Tomorrow is day 8 and I may finally have tv again. No time frame given so the whole day is shot waiting around. This company has the worst service I've ever experienced. If your Internet has service issues they can never send anyone out to fix it until the next day, at best. Usually it is several days. Many people such as myself work remotely now and REQUIRE internet to do our jobs! This is simply unacceptable. Unreliable. in 5 months since moving to a development with only Summit as the internet poetic , service goes out for 15-24 hours more 5 times. Shorter outages for 3-4 hours, with no explanation or response to requests. It's difficult to work from home with clients from all over the world and unreliable internet. read more

If 0 stars were available, I would give it. It's been 2 DAYS without internet. State wide. With exactly 1 tweet that they are aware of it. No updates at all and no one answering phones. You call just to hold for 2 hours with no solutions. It's absolutely ridiculous. From every person I've seen comment on the post, everyone was forced into service due to living in a complex that signed an agreement with summit. The most utterly useless internet company I have ever dealt with in 36 years and across multiple states. I am posting this review from the middle of my parking lot because I have not had fully functioning internet for a MONTH. I have spent 20 hours ON HOLD just trying to even get through to them. Their product is as useful as a straw made of sugar, their customer service and customer support is absolute trash. Things do NOT improve once you finally get through to one of the mindless minimum wage drones finally answers your call either, I'm not sure they could make toast without a detailed diagram walking them through it step by step. They just read off their script and set up an appointment a week out as if it's totally normal to be without any means of contacting the outside world or getting ahold of someone in an emergency or being able to earn your income. They literally do not even care one iota that they are going to kill your dog. Not a soul there cares about the thousands of dollars I've lost not being able to work at home, or that I'll be screwed in an emergency, they don't care about the hundreds of dollars I just shelled out to my security company that I could have just lit on fire instead since it's useless without internet, they don't care that I haven't gotten to enjoy a single, solitary night in my apartment since I've been here because every single minute I'm home is spent either trying to get their garbage service to work, standing outside in my parking lot looking like a psycho or occasionally in some weird spot in my apartment to try to get their trash internet to connect for a minute so I can use it, or on the phone waiting for anyone to answer the phone. Like I am currently on HOUR TWO of doing TODAY ALONE!! Seriously save your money, get a mobile hotspot, use your cellular date, hell two cups and a string will get you a better connection than this company, only you'll save the $75/mo these scam artists will still try to con you out of for the privilege of being ignored and disrespected on top of not delivering the one thing you pay them for!! Waited 50 + minutes for technical assistance this Saturday morning since I could not receive two channels (28 and 29). I give up!!!

I though Spectrum was bad, this company is MUCH worse. Terrible customer service, frequent internet outages happening multiple times daily/weekly. But, the worst thing is how they deceived my about the speed I was receiving. I paid for 250 mbps but never got even close to that. WiFi speed test were in the 65 area and hard wired was the only way to get 250. My phones, tablets and desktop are all WiFi connected so we paid $10 per month for a router from Summit that didn't even support 250 over WiFi but when the tech came out he made no mention of that fact. I finally figured out what was going on by using their internet speed test online. Replaced their junk equipment with an eero mesh router. Now we have 250 over WiFi. But, when I filled out the online form to return their router they never sent me an email with return scan code for UPS like thet said they would. Now I'm spending my afternoon trying to get ahold of somebody in customer service. Dishonest poorly run company. Avoid if you can. read more

I was scammed by Summit broadband (SBB). My only regret about my new home purchase is that the HOA uses SBB. They promised me a one-time credit of $82 due to a mix up when I moved in -- I was charged anyway and when I called to discuss they had no record of my 3 hour phone call from that day. The agent took 0 notes. Everyone employed by this lack general knowledge of how the HOA cable system works.. I was again charged ($120+) for a box that I didn't agree to. WFH is impossible with Summit. My settings there keep defaulting to Card 2, which doesn't work. Every time you call, even if they fix it by changing it to Card 1, it's reset to Card 2 when the ticket is closed. Impossible to even contact management. Summit performance & equipment are years behind the performance standards of 2023 relative to other cablr tv providers. The problems with picture & sound occur daily & requests to the Summit service department do not yield any solutions. Equipment boxes & software appear to be well below the competitions technical capabilities. Contract for our condo group HOA should be terminated. read more

We recently moved into an HOA community where Summit Broadband is the only internet provider. Our internet has been out since Friday. It's now Monday morning, still no internet. A technician was supposed to come out today between the hours of 8 and 10 AM, and the company has completely ghosted us. No one has showed up. No call, no text, no e-mail, absolutely no communication. We've been on hold with their customer service line for over an hour. We're now on DAY 4 of no internet, a service we are actively paying for. This company is criminal and corrupt. My spouse and I work remotely and are entirely unable to do our jobs because of this extended outage, with no fix in sight. This is a terrible company, avoid at all costs! read more

On hold for over an hour more times than I can count on one hand. Every person that works for summit should be held accountable. These issues date back YEARS, yet no resolution, increased prices, horrible spotty service and the same terrible costumer service. The first network connection I ever had was dialing into the BBS a friend hosted over dial up. When I say Summit holds a place as the worst ISP I've ever had, it's really saying something. We have frequent day long or multi day outages with no explanation. Then you call to get an update and wait on hold for an hour only for them to also have no info. If you have an outage at night that lasts more than a few minutes, prepare for no internet the whole next day, possibly the day after as well. This happens at least every couple of weeks. I guess they stop feeding the hamster in the wheel that powers their gawdawful internet. Seriously, it you can opt for communicating in Morse code or smoke signals, those methods would be more effective than Summit. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, this is by far the worst experience I've ever had with any sort of internet or utility company. Extremely overpriced, we were paying for a full gig internet speed (the only option) and at most were getting 10% of that. Completely unreliable too and would randomly cut out so if you work from home and rely on zoom meetings, good luck. When I finally moved I was so excited to cancel my account and never deal with them again but after getting on the phone and going through the whole cancellation process 5+ times over the past 2 months, they've still continued to take money from me and currently owe me $130 that I'll probably never see again lol. I just went to the bank to change my debit card info so they couldn't take any more money from me. Absolute disaster of a company. Avoid at all costs if you can. read more

Honestly I've lived all over the nation and have had tons of different isp's and they are honestly the worst. Random shut off then random re activation fees, outages weekly, and you'll never get a straight answer from them. We have went a LITERAL week with no service on occasion. Normally the outages last a few hours but not recently. Their prices are insanely over priced. If you want to feel like you're living in 2001 I highly recommend them but I'm pretty sure dial up is better. read more
