It all started with my parent's house I needed to sell. My dad and I winterized the home in winter for their out-of-town trip. When I turned on the water to ready the house for sale in July of the following year, my realtor discovered a water leak. I asked the realtor for advice and got someone to clear out the damaged flooring, etc. We got someone in there but it didn't look like a lot of care was taken. When I was in contact with my insurance company he gave me a list of preferred vendors that he regularly works with. PS., he had never heard of the original demo team (not a surprise). Summit was on this list and ready to aid me in restoring the home to be even better than it was before. They came and did a walk-through and gave me a quotation which seemed reasonable considering the damage to the primary suite bathroom and bedroom. I decided to upgrade the flooring from the original carpeting and had them put in vinyl plank which looked great. Cody was our project manager and he did a great job of keeping me updated considering I was managing this project from a distance as I still had my own house, job, etc., to consider. I worked with Lonnie, Robbie, and Donovan and they were all very helpful and were careful to minimize disruption as I was still working on some things within the house. I appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves (I mean everyone should) but they took care to do that and I was really pleased with the end result. Cody came and did a final walk-through and gave me the invoice. It was really nice to know that it was done and that I could move forward with my project. I hope to not have a need for restoration but if I do I will go to them again. They have workers throughout Oregon and into Washington so I would definitely recommend them. read more

I had an extremely positive experience with the restoration and demolition team at Summit. We had a leaky dishwasher that damaged our wood floors. We are working with insurance and they have wonderful communication helping us with those claims. When it came to the demo Mickey was so nice. He kept my kitchen, while doing the demo so very clean and made the process feel much less overwhelming by having very little disarray. Not only did they help dry out our damaged area they checked for damage in surrounding areas. Mickey was Extremely thorough and so far this process has been great. read more

All companies passed the buck until we were signed up with Summit Cleaning and Restoration by our insurance company Allstate Insurance. I must say that after dealing with 3 other companies, Summit and Allstate have continued to be fabulous to work with. At Summit we have worked with Casey Dragoo, James Farness and Morgan Dominguez. I could not ask for anything or anyone better. Had a home inspection done on mother's home getting it ready to sell after putting her in Memory Care and OH MY GOODNESS...so glad I had a good mind to have that done. After the home inspection (which discovered a Lake under the house) the next day I was on the phone with Summit. They were my saving grace. Not only did they do their inspection under the house and discovered broken pipes, they advised me to get in touch with the insurance company and once the claim was opened they took it from there. This company was GREAT to work with and took things off my plate as I was already stressed out over the entire situation. They go out of their way to help. I take my hat off especially to BRETT and EMILY. Emily on the phone got them there the next day and Brett what a gentleman w/compassion showed up and took control and did it RIGHT!!! Summit Restoration is one superbly managed company, and I can't say enough positive things about them. It's refreshing to experience a company you realize you can trust to come through for you, and I've found them to be very professional, friendly and trustworthy. We've used them twice now this winter here in Bend; in November we had a water pipe burst under the house, and they came out promptly, got the pipe repaired, and restored all areas affected. Ben, Peter and Justin were all very professional, courteous and friendly. Then on Christmas Eve, our water heater gave way (in the house)... being a weekend and a holiday, getting emergency service from anyone was nearly impossible, but Summit came through again. We had water damage that went across our living room, under the wall into the master bathroom, and into our bedroom's walk in closet, so fairly extensive damage. With Kimberly's expert coordinating and excellent communications, the mitigation team got right on it, again with Justin, Ben, Peter and Autumn. Great crew. Then the restoration work began, with Christian, Ryan, and John working tirelessly to replace flooring and subflooring, parts of walls, and more. Christian worked expertly with our insurance company, and Ryan oversaw the restoration and getting us the flooring we needed, and did a superb job finding just the right products. John Davis did nearly all the actual restoration work, again with top notch quality and expertise, honesty, and trustworthiness. Exceptional craftsman. Every single person from Summit has been friendly, honest, cheerful, and have more than earned our trust and confidence. From Kimberly and Sherri in the office to all who were involved, they are professional, friendly, and real experts This clearly reflects great management, and the company obviously chooses the very best people to hire. I had a sagging floor underneath the refrigerator, I called Summit they sent out a women that couldn't fit under the crawl space to see what was going on. Scheduled a smaller tech who went under and said no leakage found and referred me to a specialist to find leak.. my complaint... service people were nice however they charged me $425.00 for the visits which then cost another $325.00 which showed it was structural. Crazy of money amount to crawl underneath the house, cut a hole in my floor now which needs replaced.. would not recommend. read more

Edit Add: 6/29/2017 -- to their credit, Chris, a representative of Summit in Salem, called shortly after my review below. He listened to my concerns, was apologetic and explained (he did NOT try to make excuses) how what happened might have happened. He also acknowledged my suggestions on how they perhaps could avoid more disgruntled potential clients. I left with the impression that they would make an effort to correct the problems we faced. Original Post 06/21/2017 My insurance company had good experiences with Summit in Salem, so they felt safe suggesting that we Summit Redmond for snow/ice dam damage mitigation and restoration from this past winter. BIG MISTAKE. Good job on the mitigation (except for some damage to our wood wall), but trying to get them in to finish the job of restoration was painful, at best. We weren't in a hurry -- there were many more in C.O. with more extensive damages, but by April, we thought we could expect something. Getting someone to come out was a huge challenge. When the fellow (I prefer not to name and shame an individual) did come out, it seemed like it wasn't an interesting enough job. BUT, since they'd started (and there was damage they'd done), it seemed easier to just let them complete the job. So, we were patient. Several weeks of calls and promises to call back (occasionally, we'd catch the manager and he was always "busy", but promised to call back -- though he did say that the wood was repaired and "It looks as good as new") -- we eventually left messages that IF the job wasn't interesting enough, just please let us know, repair the piece of wood they damaged and return it. Nothing! Eventually, I left a message (the women in the front office were very nice and apologetic) and said I'd be coming in to pick up the repaired wood. Drove to Redmond and discovered that the wood piece was NOT repaired as claimed. I went back a week later, it was repaired (though I probably could've done as good a job with Elmer's glue). And I'm glad that's over with. If we have another Snowmeggedon and you have no choice, I'd maybe suggest you try them. read more

Would not provide me with a price for work to be done for water flood mitigation for our house using the lame excuse that they didn't know what they were getting into until they started the job. I told them that they looked at the damage and should provide an estimate of work to be done that is visible and if more is needed when discovery happens then the estimate should be changed. In their defense, they have responded to this post saying that, company guidelines were not followed. I will give them the benefit of doubt and recommend that you don't hire any company with a blank check! And beware that insurance companies want the problem taken care of ASAP to protect them, telling you to hire migration companies , and often then finding an exclusion on the policy, and you end up paying the bill. This is wide spread in the insurance world and needs a lot more posts on yelp and other review sites to protect consumers who are often elderly and in a crisis mode with their house! read more

If something happens to your home calling Summit Cleaning and Restoration is the right choice. We had a major problem in our master bathroom. It started with just a small sign of water damage. I called Summit Cleaning and Restoration. They came out immediately and assessed the damage. They were very thorough, crawling under the home, measuring water content and found the problem and how to fix it. They were up front and accurate with a complete estimate. They completed the mitigation and repair with no additional charges. The project manager, Ryan was on top of the job from start to finish. He kept me updated and informed every step of the way. The subs he chose were all top notch and were very competent and highly skilled. Every time one aspect of the job was close to completion the next was right in line to start.
