    Inside the Summit

This is a nice break after doing some long snow shoes trails. To get here you would need to buy gandola tickets to come up.This is about an 8 minute ride. Great views going to summit and from it. A lot of panoramic views to take with a suspension bridge. But I'm not writing this for the experience but the food. The food had many options from hand helds like lamb burger, soups like saumon clam chowder and grilled options. So this part was great. In terms of the decor, you can't beat the view. However when it's busy and under Covid restrictions, good luck finding a table. A lot of people weren't too happy. When you need to go to the washroom you have to go outside and go down a few steps. That means during winter, you got to put back on your winter wear and represent your QR code when you enter the restaurant...so this is a hassle. The restaurant offers real meals on one side and coffee, hot chocolate, tea with pastries on the other side. I think that they've gotten too popular and needs to rethink the design of the place from the customer service area to separate the two distinct restaurants with their own seating. Located in Squamish not far from Whistler. $-$$

Stir crazy times! I had the week off and no idea what to do. Woke up and decided to goto Squamish! Staycation! Hey I haven't tried the Sea to Sky Gondola yet. Took our kids and parents along and was pretty much set for limited, over-priced food at the top. Got a nice big table on the patio to hold our group and the view is spectacular. Who cares about the food now right? Were my expectations ever off. Yes they are the only sit down option but the food was well plated and very tasty. The wait staff professional and efficient. Prices were a bit higher, as to be expected for the location, but I felt they could've went even higher, especially with the quality of the food coming out. Everyone was pleased with their choices and totally set a positive tone for the rest of our day exploring the areas up top. Would love to come back with visitors when this covid19 gets sorted out!

The thing with mountaintop restaurants is twofold: they have you kind of at their mercy, and they have to cater to a very common denominator. I've been to the summit lodge a few times, and that's always been my experience: resolutely okay Western food with little variety, fairly high prices for what you get, and an overall crowded and slightly uncomfortable feel. It's a place you eat at because you're hungry and it's there. The rest of the lodge is nice in a touristy sense - there's a small café with okay food, a gift shop, and so on. The nicest part is the view from the great big deck outside, and the suspension bridge leading off into the mountaintop. Really, that's the key - you probably want to be up here for the mountain, not the food. So don't linger inside too long - it's not a bad lodge, but the nice walks and views outside are much better!

Came all the way up to the top from a long 7.5 km trail to sea to sky! Amazing views with a intermediate/advanced level hike that led you to several climbing and inclining. Once I got to the top which took about 4-5 hours, I decided to reward myself with a late lunch. The cafe had several selections along with a bar to have drinks at. You basically take a place that you help yourself with, tell the workers what you want and they will prepare it for you on the plate. A lot of outdoor seatings so that customers can dine and have a great view. You then pay at the register next to the food prep. I decided to order a customized rice bowl served with brown rice, lamb, coleslaw, mixed veggies, corn and more. The total turned out to be $19 with a Pale ale beer. Overall the beer was great but the food was not all that. Lacked a lot of flavor and did not have a lot of lamb meat in it. The rice was okay. Probably would not try this item again. Should have gotten a burger or a wrap. 3 stars for the food but 5 stars for the overall hike!

Food was good , well worth it. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for our burger but I didn't mind since they were made perfect . it was about 17 bucks with French fries included. I am from the U.S so it was about 12 for me . the chili was good too , it was 9.50 for a bowl . Management did seem to have an issue with their menu since they didn't have cheeseburger on the menu and ppl kept ordering cheeseburgers. A lady was yelling at the two guys that were cooking the food , which made them overwhelmed . They line had about 10 ppl now. It was bit funny. The view your get from up here is amazing . I would definitely recommend coming here .

Our recent visit to Whistler BC, first time for me, saw us first stopping at Squamish for lunch…read more The drive up the Sky to Sky Highway (Highway 99) is phenomenal .. as is the entire Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, too beautiful for words! We ate at a cute 100% vegan cafe called @tuba_cafe_ right in the heart of downtown Squamish, offering lots of smoothie flavors, coffees, a few sandwiches and four different kinds of vegan desserts! When entering the restaurant, you can actually enter from their front or back doors. We decided to split a "Kado Sandwich" (panini) - consisting of zucchini, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, spice, parsley, tomato paste, and cheese. If you're wondering if the panini tastes as good as it looks, it absolutely does .. and, even better when paired with their provided dipping sauce! I decided to grab a smoothie, simply and aptly named "Brown" .. espresso, mango, banana, walnut, protein powder, and almond butter ... a lot of varied ingredients that really complemented one another in the final product. Last but certainly not least, we both ordered a different dessert. My wife ordered the "Tiramisu", consisting of cream cheese, almond butter, biscuit, and maple syrup and I ordered the "Cheesecake", consisting of date, walnut, cream cheese, maple syrup, and almond butter. While both desserts shared some similar ingredients, each had their own distinct flavor and was a perfect touch to our shared sandwich and smoothie. Whether you're driving through Squamish or staying for a bit, if you're looking for fast service, delicious food with simple ingredients, right in the heart of downtown, you should definitely check them out!
