Dr Hunter has a unique sense of humor and has lots of interesting stories to keep you occupied during her exam. If you have ever felt like "just a number" or "just a patient" at another doctor give Dr Hunter a try. She listens to everything you have to say and I can tell is GENUINELY concerned about your health and well being. I have congestive heart failure, diabetes, high blood pressure, you name it. My other doctor had been prescribing the same medications FOREVER. Dr Hunter was not afraid to try some different meds and I am happy to say I have never done better. She will pray for you if requested. If a 6 or 7 was an available score, she would get it from me!!!!

I explained that I was not told about this when my appointment was confirmed, and because I was coming in for a procedure, I did not bring cash or credit cards with me. The front desk staff member said she would speak with Dr. Edmunds. When she returned, she stated that if I could not pay the $45 copay, I would need to reschedule because the office is cracking down on collecting copays. She then asked if I could borrow the money from my driver. Thankfully, my driver was able to help me, but the situation was very frustrating and embarrassing. My concern is that I had already taken the day off work, followed the preparation instructions, fasted, arranged transportation, and showed up ready for my procedure. To be told at that point that my procedure could possibly be canceled over a $45 copay was very upsetting. I completely understand that offices have policies regarding copays and patient responsibility. However, if those policies are going to be strictly enforced, I believe patients should be informed ahead of time, especially before a scheduled procedure. A courtesy call or reminder letting the patient know the amount due at check-in would help avoid situations like this. I am not refusing to pay my copay, but I do feel the communication could have been handled better. Patients should not find out the day of a procedure, after fasting and making arrangements, that their appointment may be canceled due to a payment they were not made aware of in advance. I hope this concern can be reviewed so future patients are properly informed before their procedure day.

Waiting less than an hour is a rarity that would feel like a miracle. The front desk staff openly acknowledges that lengthy waits are the norm, but this does not excuse the over an hour and a half delay I experienced during my last visit. Observing the frustration among fellow patients, including a concerned mother worried about picking up her children and an elderly gentleman who passed out and was sawing logs, was disheartening. The policy of charging patients for being late while the doctor's time seems to have no such value is a glaring double standard. A delay of a few minutes is understandable, but when hours are lost, it's a clear sign of disrespect and a lack of professionalism. It's evident that overbooking is a strategy here, prioritizing financial gain over patient care. While the doctor's qualifications are not in question, no level of expertise justifies the disregard for patients' time. We all have lives beyond these walls and deserve the same punctuality we strive to provide. Until this fundamental issue is addressed, I cannot recommend this facility. I liked her, felt she listened and understood my issues. I'm that patient whose gastric problems aren't life threatening. However, the PA told me to call to follow up on an issue we discussed. I also needed to get her advice on a medication, for a non gastric illness, that won't cause stomach problems. I've called and left a message, once a week for 3 weeks now. I have not received a call back. My only option is to find another GI Specialist.

Another different test to do? Disability paperwork filled out) This man made everything so difficult for me that I would have panic attacks and not be able to open his secure message responses to questions I asked for days. Because the answer was always "no" or him doubting me or making this process of trying to get something complicated diagnosed even harder by making me argue for every single thing. Like filling out short term disability paperwork when I was going on FMLA leave. Everything was already hard and he made it harder. The most recent time, when I called to ask their office manager what to do when the doctor can't help, I got a certified letter from Dr French firing me. Dr French wants to do the basic work and then go home and not think about his job or his patients. I kind of think he wants to not think about his patients when they're in the room too. He can play like he listens and play a good doctor, but when it really matters, he'll let you down every single time.

He has a gentle bedside manner that makes you feel safe and comfortable. He spent quality time with me explaining everything and made sure I was on the right track with my care and medications. Never been to an office where your lab tests are done right there in the office. It is so convenient and efficient. Results were back in a day to a couple of days, not weeks. That is completely unheard of where I came from. The staff are so nice, working well with each other and treat you with respect. If you are sick or have an emergency, they work you in quickly on such short notice. It took weeks in California sometimes even months to get in. In the 4 years I've been under Dr Grays care, I never experienced that problem or any other problems. I highly recommend Dr Gray and his staff for your care. This office and all the staff won't disappoint.
