Review for Premier Allergy & Asthma (Delaware, OH Office)…read more I began allergy shots for cat and pollen allergies at Premier Allergy's Delaware, OH office in August 2024. In spring 2025, a new policy mandated a 20-minute post-shot wait time, which wasn't part of my initial agreement and would have deterred me from starting this costly, elective treatment. When I voiced concerns, staff directed me to email a provided address to dispute the policy, but I received no response. A nurse suggested there were likely no consequences for leaving early, so I did so for four visits without any warning or communication from staff. On July 23, 2025, I was suddenly informed (without prior notice) that if I left early that day, I'd need to find a new provider. Due to a work commitment, I couldn't stay and was sent a transfer of care form. I scheduled with Ohio ENT for August 1, and they sent the request to transfer to Premier that day. I called weekly to see if my vials had been transferred and had no success. Despite multiple follow-ups, on August 19, Premier Allergy called to inform me that my vials had expired and were contacting my insurance to get the cost for refill. As of august 23 I've heard absolutely nothing further delaying my treatment to now a month. The lack of communication, abrupt policy enforcement, and failure to promptly address the transfer of care despite follow-ups reflect incredibly poor customer service. I strongly suggest NOT using Premier Allergy & Asthma and recommend choosing Ohio ENT or another allergist instead.

EVERYWHERE!! Super challenging. He recommended about 2 years of weekly shots. Having to go once a week and stay for at least a half hour is a tough. This office makes it as easy as it possibly could be considering all factors. The hours are pretty convenient. I have even had them take me when I am a few minutes late or came at the wrong time by accident. I always feel like they listen to all their patients and in this case, their parents would definitely recommend this practice!

I missed the call from my awesomely concerned family doctor who had already reviewed my ER records despite the fact that it was a holiday and she was supposed to be relaxing. She wanted to have me come in for a follow-up exam. Since I didn't recognize the number and my voicemail box was jammed full, I didn't know I was supposed to go in. But on Thanksgiving, in the evening, when I relapsed into that toxic pain and shaking, my family called Dr. Rentel. She was there, and she had advice. She got me through the night and saw me first thing Monday. This is the most compassionate doctor. I love her to pieces. She has her patients' best interest in mind. She really cares about your health. And she's funny and easy to talk to. I have high praise for Dr. Rentel. If you're looking for a new family doctor, definitely try to get in with her. It will be tough. Since she's so amazing, she's always booked full. But if you happen to call the office when they're taking new patients, you musn't undervalue the opportunity. Jump on it! Dr. Rentel is the best.

They sent me away with anxiety meds. Needless to say, I didn't take them and went to see Dr. Rentel the following Monday. By chance, I was assigned to her when I was a student at OSU in the student health department. She asked me if I had allergies, to which I replied NO. She took a good look at me and said, "Yes you do." She gave me oral steroids and within 24 hours my breathing issues were totally resolved. Turns out, I have a severe grass pollen allergy that developed as an adult and procudes asthma. I'm now taking allergy shots to help build a tolerance to my allergies and symptoms. I wasn't crazy afterall!

She receives IVIG weekly for the past 12 years and will get it the rest of her life. My daughter was born with a primary immunodeficiency (Combined Immune Deficiency). Having her IVIG right now is critical to her healing. Dr. McNeil, my daughter's old immunologist, wrote in her chart that under no circumstances should she receive her IVIG treatment. Therefore, the doctors at Riverside will not go against him. The doctor Riverside Methodist hospital uses for immunology consultations is Dr Donald McNeil. He has bad history with my daughter. He was her doctor over 8 yrs ago. He and his wife own an infusion center that my daughter went to. His wife ran it. My daughter was going to have ankle surgery and found out she could do in home infusions. He was angry with her for leaving the center & fired her from his practice. He apparently holds grudges. My Daughter's current immunologist has had to step in 2 other times, most recently 2 weeks ago. This time, yesterday, the 2 doctors ( current immunologist and consultant for Riverside)had words and my daughter's doctor told him to stay away from her because he's doing more harm to her. However, Dr. McNeil is not backing down. Even though he has not physically been in to seen my daughter.

My first visit I waited in the waiting room 52 minutes and 40 minutes in the exam room. He felt that my immune system is pretty good so he said that he wanted me to see an infectious disease doctor. He also agreed that I have many infections. He offered no doctors name for the referral. He told me to just look for a few different infectious disease doctors and that he would send the report. So I found a couple different infectious disease doctors and called his office for the referral. I did the legwork. The next thing you know I get a call from Samantha telling me that Dr. McNeil would referr me to an infectious disease doctor that he knew. So I'm wondering why didn't he give me the name of that doctor while I was in his office? So I finally get a referral over to the infectious disease doctor and they say they need bloodwork & all test that were done so I have to go back to Samantha again to tell them to send this stuff. She says Dr. McNeil is out of town but he will be back on Wednesday and that she will talk to him and they will get the blood test together & whatever the infectious disease doctor needs and that they will send it to him. She also discussed with me that maybe I should consider getting a different urologist. At no time did they say they were not going to send the referral so I wait until Fridayand call the infectious disease doctor back. They tell me they never received the referral with the test results. I called Samantha back to be told that they weren't going to send the referral they just feel that I need to get a new urologist. The communication in this office with the patient unbelievably horrible. I have a doctor telling me he wants me to see an infectious disease doctor but yet they never send over any of the blood test that the infectious disease doctor needed. No one communicated with me as to what her and the doctor talked about on Wednesday and they knew that I was waiting for those test to go over to the infectious disease doctor. When you have infections your entire life this kind of treatment really gets you down and just makes me want to just give up on finding any kind of a true, caring, professional doctor. You won't get it from this office.

I was a patient of Michael Martyn, MD, and my experience with his care was extremely disappointing…read moreand concerning. My first visit was in December 2025. When Dr. Martyn entered the room, his appearance and demeanor immediately raised concerns about professionalism. I explained in detail that my ears retain moisture, which causes frequent wax buildup and infections. I also explained that my father and I share this condition and that his ENT successfully prescribed Sulfacetamide Otic capsules, which had also worked for me in the past. I specifically requested this medication. Instead, Dr. Martyn prescribed an antibiotic containing amoxicillin, despite my medical chart clearly stating that I am allergic to penicillin. Because of this error, it took two weeks for a replacement prescription to be sent. I took the antibiotic for 28 days, during which there was no improvement in my infection, and the left side of my face became swollen. When I contacted the office again to request the Sulfacetamide Otic capsules, I was told Dr. Martyn wanted me to come back in for another visit. My second appointment was in early January 2026. During this visit, it became clear that Dr. Martyn had not reviewed my chart thoroughly and was unaware of previous communications I had with his medical assistant, Chelsea Lenegar, despite her confirming she documented my medication request in my file. Dr. Martyn then recommended a compound pharmacy (Crosby) and stated he would send the prescription. My appointment was on a Monday, yet I received no confirmation the following day. I called multiple times throughout the week and could not reach anyone. After leaving several messages, Chelsea eventually informed me that Dr. Martyn was in surgery and had not yet signed off on my prescription, assuring me I would hear back by Friday. I did not. By the following Monday, I still had no update. At this point, my condition had worsened, my face was visibly swollen, and there was no sense of urgency from the office. I was forced to escalate the issue to Jessica Kondy, a supervisor above both Chelsea Lenegar and Dr. Martyn. Only two weeks later, I was informed that Dr. Martyn had finally reviewed my file and stated he would need either a photo of the medication bottle or a prior prescription and that he "probably" could prescribe it. After weeks of waiting, worsening symptoms, and repeated follow-ups, being told he might be able to help was unacceptable. This experience made me feel that my care was consistently deprioritized. As an African American patient, I could not help but feel dismissed and unheard throughout this process. Regardless of intent, the lack of responsiveness, organization, and urgency reflects very poorly on patient care and safety. I would not recommend Dr. Michael Martyn to others, especially those needing attentive, timely, and compassionate care. He is racist towards African American and will not care about your needs

So I chose to move to Dr. Scott Bagentose (the son). The timeline to get an appointment as a new patient is 1 year out. Currently their scheduling for may/june/July of 2020 (it is October 2019) no matter the doctor or the office. So I had to find another practice because this practice can't manage the patient volume. To transfer, I need a referral from the treating physician. Called Dr Scotts nurse explaining the situation and asking for the referral. In fact, I left SEVERAL messages over the course of 30 days. She NEVER returned my call. I finally called into the office and spoke to her on the phone, explained the situation to which she said "we are not going to refer you to our competitor". WHAT? Without the referral I cannot get medical treatment for my allergies. I can't get an appointment from this office anytime soon either. I literally lost it on the phone. This is THE MOST UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL doctors office I've ever experience. Dr Abner Bagentose would be appalled if he knew. I reported them to the state medical board.
