During our anniversary getaway, my wife and I found this frozen yogurt place located in Truckee Crossroads shopping center in Truckee, CA. This frozen yogurt place is self serve and the price is based on the weight of the total amount of frozen treat with toppings which is 74 cents per ounce. The staff member was courteous and ambiance was cozy and casual. I liked the fact that it had nonfat sorbet since I'm lactose intolerant and this frozen yogurt place had my ideal dessert. I got the Hawaiian Delight with popping boba. I loved it and we will come back whenever we are in the area.

North of the spectacular Lake Tahoe in the swell little city of Truckee lies a nice little frozen yogurt spot by the name of Summit Swirl which offers a wonderful cold and sweet treat for a hot summer's day. I came here on a Sunday afternoon with five friends to enjoy a cold dessert in the scorching summer heat. There is a variety of frozen yogurt flavors here including key lime, banana, and peanut butter. They are all either low-fat or non-fat to make for a healthy treat. There is also a wide variety of toppings that one can add ranging from mochi to sour candies to olive oil. After filling up a cup, it is weighed for a cost of $0.61 an ounce. I decided to get a cup of their key lime, lemonade, and vanilla bean. The lemonade flavor is a bit different from the other two in that it had sort of a sherbert like texture. It was a bit icier for a very refreshing feel. The key lime and vanilla bean flavors were more creamy and had the taste of greek yogurt in them. They were flavorful and sweet while not being overwhelmingly sweet. I enjoyed the frozen yogurt with sour candies, mochi, and mango popping boba to add variety to the dessert.

Decent frozen yogurt place located in North Lake Tahoe. My friends and I decided to swing by here on a hot August day for a refreshing bite to eat. Summit Swirl has a good selection (about 10) of frozen yogurts and toppings so you can customize your own froyo bowl on what you feel like eating that day. For me, I'm not a huge frozen yogurt fan, so I ended up getting a pink lemonade frozen sorbet, topped with mango boba. The pink lemonade was quite refreshing and sweet, perfect for a hot day. The mango boba added a fun texture to go along with the sorbet. At $0.61 per ounce, it's pretty expensive compared to other frozen yogurt places in urban cities.

I was excited to see Italian tart when I first walked in the door. It was down hill from there. Tart was icy and not creamy. I then went to the topping bar. All the fresh fruit was gone. I asked the girl busy texting behind the counter about the fruit and she replied there's none out there. For this I paid a whopping high .61 0z. Ouch. As I walked out some was walking in and exclaimed it's like Yogurt Beach. Which I replied not even close. Sad to say I won't be back. read more

Best local yogurt shop. I go here so often the employees always ask if I remembered to bring my punch card (and I usually forget it, lol!). I've got to say for a frozen yogurt place this was awesome. The guy serving was so enthusiastic. We came in with a bunch of kids and he was gladly handing out samples without any limitations so everyone could get something they were happy with. False description!!! There is NO ice crew at this shop and the 'coffee' offered is a pod of off-brand Kuerig wannabe stuff. You can get frozen yogurt here. If you want coffee or ice cream you will need to walk across the parking lot to Starbucks and Savemart. Suggestion for Sierra Swirl: redo your Yelp description. Example: frozen yogurt, water, and more frozen yogurt. If you want frozen yogurt this is the place for you! If you want ice cream or coffee go elsewhere. read more

I've had better and certainly cheaper! OMG! 66cents/ounce? Please, Truckee isn't that good a place to visit. The most expensive in Sac area is 49cents/ounce and I complain about that. So, while the staff was nice, tho preoccupied by a friend conversation, the flavors were more numerous than some places, and those we tried were mostly good, this isn't a repeat. I had the Vanilla Bean/ Double Chocolate and the Pecan while my spouse had the Raspberry tart, which was fantastically tart! The Almond milk was tasteless and the pumpkin spice very pumkiny, so to say. read more

Love this place! Go at least twice a week. Just wish they had pumpkin all year round. Really high quality fro'yo' not like most yogurt shops which use cheap yogurt. Also very clean and the machines are well maintained. Many shops don't maintain their machines and you can end up eating metal shavings from the parts! read more

I came to this yogurt vendor after a hard day's night's evening's work on the ol' farm (that's what I call my farm). Anyway, the selection was impeccable, and the state of the whole place was spotless! I could've licked off of the counters, but the staff warned against it and I obliged. Speaking of the staff, that blonde girl and the blonde boy with the glasses working with her were both just delightful company(and not a bad looking pair, either ) and they were playing some spectacular tunes in that there jukebox, I do declare! If it weren't for my metal hip I would've been hippin' and hoppin' and boopin' and boppin' right alongside those two younguns. Long story long, if you're looking to enjoy some delicious dairy treats, lovely company and some swingin' music, come on down to this establishment. read more

We got everything from Belgian chocolate to mint chocolate chip. Since writing this review, we have at least gone 3-4 times and my kids look forward to stopping there when we're in the area. There's an awesome outside area with jumbo Jenga for the kids, cornhole and more. There's plenty of seating for many families and a gorgeous view. You need to try this place.

The rice and beans were 90% of the burrito with very tiny bits of chorizo here and there so it just didn't feel like breakfast to me and I didn't finish mine. Everyone has different tastes though so if you enjoy bean and rice burritos I'm sure you would like this!

My wife had mentioned that she had been to the physical location in the past so we decided to drive a few more exits down the freeway and check it out. It looks like it's attached to the owner's home and the family runs it. Hands-down, some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time. The flavors were unique and also supporting local causes. We got everything from Belgian chocolate to mint chocolate chip. Since writing this review, we have at least gone 3-4 times and my kids look forward to stopping there when we're in the area. There's an awesome outside area with jumbo Jenga for the kids, cornhole and more. There's plenty of seating for many families and a gorgeous view. You need to try this place.
