If you're ever craving African food, then this is a good spot to consider. I've ordered a couple times from here and it was decent experience. Their fufu (pounded yam) is made well. I've tried other versions of fufu and recommend the pounded yam. It just works better in your hands when you're trying to mold it into a flat surface to scoop up the egisu lol. Their egisu is solid too. Their goat is delicious. It's very flavorful and tender. The only thing I'd say is to be careful when eating it. They do not remove the bones when cooking the meat. While it's usually not an issue to eat around the bones, there were a handful of times that I accidentally chomped down on a small piece of bone that was otherwise difficult to see. I was worried I cracked a tooth lol Their beef leg and tripe is also good if that's your jam. Tripe isn't for everyone and it has a gamey smell. But i certainly loved it lol. The beef leg is good but be aware that the skin is cooked intact onto the meat. If you enjoy eating the skin then this is a good choice. I honestly thought the skin was tripe until half way through the meal lol read more

When I called I was treated very rudely, hung up on, and my number was busy. I was told I had to physically come pick up a cash refund -- I do not have a car. However I will say the OWNER personally reached out, apologized sincerely, acknowledged my loyalty as a customer and assured me everything would be taken care of. I placed a pickup order from their website, for a white rice combo with Goat, and a coconut rice with chicken. Turns out, they were out of both goat and coconut rice. I found out when they gave me only one dish - white rice with beef. Along with a handwritten note that said "sorry no goat meat or coconut rice, prepare with beef, once again, so sorry." They didn't offer a refund or anything. I paid for 2 dishes, but only received one, and it wasn't what I had wanted. They should have just cancelled my order and sent me a full refund. I ordered via Door Dash a couple of weeks ago -- got the Pepper Soup with goat and pounded yam, and Rice combo with Fish. First, the food arrived hot and well-wrapped so that's a plus. The Pepper soup was absolutely delicious-- so flavorful, spicy and the goat was tender. And it was a nice portion. The pounded yam was nice--it was like a mashed potato ball, smooth and the perfect neutral canvas for the soup. Next, the Jollof rice with the fish--very tasty, and a generous serving of rice that lasted me up to 3 days and by day 3 the rice was even better (I made chicken to go with it). I truly enjoyed my meal and rated it "I love it!" The funny thing is, I apparently ordered from them a year or so before and didn't have a good food experience so I didn't rate them well--I completely forgot and only realized it when my old bad DD review popped up after I posted my new good one . But everyone deserves another chance and they hit it out the park with that meal. So much so that I ordered from them again the following week and tried the Fufu combo with the mixed meat (cow leg, beef and tripe--I had always seen tripe but never had it) Egusi and the Eba. It was well prepared but the flavor was interesting to me--there were notes of bitterness (from the bitter leaf I presume or maybe the melon seeds?) and the Eba was a bit sour, like Ethiopian injera but stronger in my opinion. I really wanted to like it -- I even tried adding salt -- but I think maybe it's an acquired taste for my personal palate. The beef was a bit tough and the what I think was the cow leg skin was thick, tough and chewy. I've had Jamaican cow foot soup before and the skin was tender so not sure if it's just a different kind of cooking or what ‍. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't my cup of tea but maybe for someone else it's perfect. I'm only sharing my experience for someone who may have never had it and like me was curious, so this is my opinion on it (after all, Yelp is all about the word of mouth). But nothing ventured, nothing gained. Still, I want to try the other items and will always come back to that pepper soup and rice combo! UPDATE on 3/2/26 -- After my review I then got a taste for jollof again. So Yesterday I ordered the Edikanikong too and it was truly delicious!!! So flavorful and fresh! These are some of the best greens I've had! And that's it. Honestly because I ordered from DD so much I mostly do my reviews now there vs here on Yelp, but I felt compelled to share my experience on this spot on this platform too. Authentic spot with Nigerian cuisine. Came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and there seemed to be a steady inflow of customers, but never a line. The food is pre-prepared. Delivery/takeout is available. There's a private parking lot in front as well as street parking. Credit cards are accepted. They don't have tap water so you'll need to buy bottled water. I got the jollof rice combo with chicken (your choice of soft or hard meat, which I wasn't able to clarify since only soft meat was available at that time). The worker helping me asked if I wanted some sauce in the rice, and I think that was a good call otherwise the rice would've been too dry. The combo came with two pieces of chicken. I could taste the Curry in the rice and then instant Flavor Bomb. Jolif Rice was also very taste as I order a Side for later. I had a Beef Patty that looks very similar to a Jamaican Patty. Called in my order which was a combination of three meats egusi. My beef was tuff slightly burnt, my tripe was rubbery and a huge piece that needed to be cut a few times, the I believe the other piece of meat was cow foot. Nothing on that but bone. The base of the soup was ok until I tasted chunks of grease inside. This little bowl of greasy soup should not have been priced at $18.00. Then I decided to order spinach, I wanted that buy itself, in my mind I'm thinking maybe 4 or 5 dollars for a side of veggies. Nope he told me the price would still be the same without meat $22.00 wow. I then requested fish with my spinach. And that was really good but with a million bones. Another down fall is NO prices, I'm not sure if he was the owner or not, but I believe they were just making up prices just for the hell of it. Service was rude and I noticed when I checked in on yelp these folks had a (C) for the food grade. And on yelp there was also a list of warnings about this establishment with dates and visits from the health department. We'll it was too late because I've already ate some of the food. Now before I went to my appointment I went to there bathroom. I give them a little credit because the toilet was clean, but that floor looked like they have not mopped in years smh. I'm ALWAYS rooting for my African restaurant but wow, this is just bad. 1. The interior looks so shabby and dirty. I figured it's an old building, so I'll look past it. 2. No one greeted us when we walked in, no smile or anything from the woman taking my order in front (with short hair). 3. They didn't have the first 3 things I ordered from the menu. 4. Written with a marker on paper it said they had things they didn't actually have. (Making posters with markers and white paper is super tacky) 5.
