    Chicken egusi soup with fufu

Really good and flavorful. Generous portions and good customer service. Small but good amount of seating

I placed a pickup order from their website, for a white rice combo with Goat, and a coconut rice with chicken. Turns out, they were out of both goat and coconut rice. I found out when they gave me only one dish - white rice with beef. Along with a handwritten note that said "sorry no goat meat or coconut rice, prepare with beef, once again, so sorry." They didn't offer a refund or anything. I paid for 2 dishes, but only received one, and it wasn't what I had wanted. They should have just cancelled my order and sent me a full refund. Otherwise this was just a scam!

Ok, so the food wasn't bad I got Egusi Soup and Pounded Yam and Stew with white rice and Plantain and yeah it wasn't bad ... but the customer service was some of the worse I ever experienced the guy at the counter was rude and didn't give me the correct change I got to the car and realized he didn't give me the correct change and went back inside I said excuse me this isn't the correct change he looks at the receipt and with much of an attitude and opens the register and gives me a very nasty look and starts taking money out of the register and counting he still gave me incorrect change SMH ... not sure if I will return at least not to this location

I enjoyed my jollop rice and fish is waa very flavorful. Aa far as my daughter dishThe coconut rice and chicken wasn't as flavorful it seemed as it was just ketchup spread on dish

I had chicken Egusi Stew twice and the first time I made it myself. And the one I made was way better. This shit had no flavor to it at all. I couldn't even finish it. You literally could not taste any seasoning. I am highly disappointed. I learned about this place on Door Dash. No bueno!

Authentic spot with Nigerian cuisine. Came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and there seemed to be a steady inflow of customers, but never a line. The food is pre-prepared. Delivery/takeout is available. There's a private parking lot in front as well as street parking. Credit cards are accepted. They don't have tap water so you'll need to buy bottled water. I got the jollof rice combo with chicken (your choice of soft or hard meat, which I wasn't able to clarify since only soft meat was available at that time). The worker helping me asked if I wanted some sauce in the rice, and I think that was a good call otherwise the rice would've been too dry. The combo came with two pieces of chicken. The food was a bit old but I still enjoyed the rice with stew mixed in.

I was scrolling through DoorDash hungry during lunchtime and saw this place being featured! I decided to try out their food and order! It was my first time trying fufu with egusi and it was so flavorful and paired well together. What I ordered: -Fufu and egusi soup with trip and beef -Fried plantains

    Ofada sauce

When did the Marina Del Rey restaurant open?

Hello Karen, Our Marina Del Rey location was open last year December 2022

Is this the same one on Atlantic in Long Beach?

I don't know if they are owned by the same person. They look to be the same, however the food is NOT! The Inglewood location is a lot better. Good customer service at both locations

Are there vegan options? If so, what are they?

Overall, the food is decent, and the restaurant has always appeared clean when I've visited. However, they are on the expensive side, and the quality and consistency do not always match what they charge. The efo riro is probably the strongest dish I've tried and the main thing I would order again, although it could still use a little more seasoning. The moi moi is also good. I would skip the amala until they improve the preparation. Proper amala should be smooth, but the one I received was extremely lumpy, with small clumps throughout. It tasted like it had been prepared by someone who had not yet mastered the technique. I also tried the ila alasepo, and I would not order it again. It was visually very unappetizing, with a consistency that looked completely wrong for the dish. More importantly, the okra did not draw at all. That is a basic requirement of properly prepared ila alasepo, and if the okra does not draw, it should not be served. I received three pieces of goat meat, and two were bony rib pieces with hardly any meat. At $35, serving mostly bones is unacceptable. It might pass with customers who are unfamiliar with how ila alasepo should look and taste, but anyone who knows the dish will immediately recognize that the execution was a complete failure. My first meat pie was good, but later orders were disappointing. The crust lacked the buttery richness and tenderness a good meat pie should have, the seasoning in the filling tasted off, and the filling needed better binding. The ayamase was excessively oily, while the red stew tasted almost raw and underdeveloped. The meat tasted as though it had been cooked separately and added afterward, rather than being properly braised in the sauce so it could absorb the flavor. The food is not bad across the board, but much of it is bland-adjacent, and the execution is inconsistent. Their prices are their prices, but at that price point, the food should be flavorful, refined, and consistently well prepared. They get a few things right, particularly the efo riro and moi moi, but the overall quality needs to catch up with the cost. They can do better.

It took a while to get our food, but as the dishes were cooked to order, we didn't mind. The verdict: -- Jollof rice with goat: the goat was decently tender and the jollof rice was nice and chewy, with a spicy kick to it! The more you eat it, the more the heat builds. -- Fufu with light soup: it was my first time trying fufu, and I liked it! Sort of reminded me of a "chewier" mashed potato, and it was a great vessel to dip into the light soup. The light soup was flavorful, but SPICY; it was definitely not light! Chicken inside was tasty and fall-off-the-bone tender. -- Red red: the least-spiciest dish of the trio, and while I enjoyed the crispy, fried, and sweet plantains, the beans were okay, but it wasn't to my taste. Not bad, but not my favorite. Overall, a nice taste of Ghanaian food at Airport Royal Cuisine. Service was nice and courteous. Ghanaian cuisine is certainly flavorful, but beware the spice!!

How come it felt like I was at one of my friends houses, eating their mother's home-cooked meal? It was a day my wife and I were coming back from our bI-monthly beach trip, and we had a deep hunger for some injera, the stock at home was running low and after all this driving and a full morning at the beach neither of us was going to cook. On our exit back to the inland empire, one name piqued my interest. Emma Habesha. There wasn't much to discus, we soared there with haste in our hearts. the parking situation seems small, give the place a quick scan while you figure out your landing, they share their parking woth a few other businesses, but if you had to walk down the street, I could think of worse ways to get your digestion going before you drive home. luckily someone was leaving when we got there, and we were able to park in front. On the walk in, there were two woman watching a program in a small and cozy space. The elder woman met my eyes, sizing us up, she knew our stomachs were empty. It was the the eponymous Emma, and she was prepared. without a beat, she told us to find a place to sit, that there was ample space outside. And yes there was. We followed our way out the back, and the expected patio opened up into seemingly an outdoor community center lounge. There are mirrors on the walls, would seem to be a bar station, and ample seating with plenty of space, screens outside. It was beautiful. We found a table that had low coffee table seating. perfect for us to leisure into. Emma had gone to start lunch preparations, her son, respectful and kind young man appeared to take our order and serve our drinks. But she was like an auntie you come to dinner too. After service on Sunday, he was like a young nephew you haven't seen since they were young, all grown up and impressive. Their service was wonderful, second only to the food. Ordering with empty stomachs, wanting to eat the whole menu, we got combo platter without much discussion. I was expecting a lot, but I know she could feel my quiet hunger. There was plenty of food for the two of us, and the ample honey wine between us. The Dereq Tibbs were standout, and if that wasn't enough red meat the Alicha stew was perfectly spicy and succulent, my first time trying Ethiopian style collards were amazing, even the doro wot was to die for (not a huge fan of chicken) and the other vegetable dishes disappeared as quickly as the meat. Our meal was brief, and we were quite satisfied. I can't go to another Ethiopian restaurant, next time we're in town, its a mandatory stop.
