Within a couple of minutes, the horn was working, but they explained to me that a new one was still needed as there was an internal problem with the component and so, although it was currently working, it would most likely stop working again soon. They made some phone calls to see if they could get the part, but they couldn't. They advised me to get the part from Ford and bring it to them so they could instal it. Best of all, they didn't charge me anything for getting it to work. I know that's a small thing because, realistically, they really didn't do much, but it's that kind of honesty and integrity that I appreciate. For that reason I'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I went in for an oil change and my dealer told me that my brakes are due for a change. Went to Nick's and asked for the oil change and new brakes. The mechanic (I believe it's Ming) told me that they still had another half year to a year left on them considering that this is my daily driver. He told me just check it again next time I'm in for an oil change. Most recently, I went in for an oil change and had him check my brake fluid because it was within the timeframe of replacement. Ming turned down the work again because the brake fluid was still clean. If you know what you need, this is exactly the place to go for honest work.

Prices are great and they allow you to bring your own oil or parts to save some money. They don't tell you everything you should know or do though, and I wouldn't trust them completely with German cars. Example: needed to replace one rotor but they don't tell or insist you replace two at a time so they wear evenly. Another example: they didn't know how to place the brake caliper cover back on my BMW F10 series without scratching/banging it in. Scratched the caliper cover completely (was a $150 paint job!) And I asked them beforehand if they knew how to spring it back in (different mechanism than Japanese car brakes) before they started the work! If you have customized work on your car such as a nice vinyl wrap or painted calipers and you need them to work around that (such as changing your pads/rotors), AVOID! But if it's a beater, a daily, and you need to do work that isn't sensitive and you don't mind them giving a little kick/prying/stomping if needed, go for it!

Stay away from this place…read more I recently had a front end accident and I went shopping around for the best quotes for the repair. I came across victor collision auto because it was cheaper than the rest. I dropped my car off for 3 weeks and they returned the car mismatched screws, missing/loose screws, missing hood cover, loose trunk stick, and they didn't even repair my fog lights! They reused damaged car parts/panels and installed it onto a fully repaired body on the front end. There's also many panel gaps on the car and when I press along "new" panels, they weren't screwed on tight and they were loose. So I went back and told them to fix it. They gave me many excuses on why there was panel gaps and why they were uneven. Worst part of all, they tried to upsell my father who has no knowledge of cars. They mentioned that my control arms were bad and they weren't even broken at all. Overall, I got back my car, fog light is fixed, my hood stick is still loose, I still have mismatched screws on my panels and there's tons of panel gaps. Now I know to never come back. Stay away from this place at all cost. Horrible establishment. Even if it's cheaper, it's not worth the quality of their performance.

Issue #1, this is not a honest business. I had my car's window fixed here recently. When I arrived, they asked about the issue and then said they could fix it immediately and provided a cheap quote. After I dropped off the car and made a deposit, the car ended up taking three days to fix and the price went up hundreds. The lady who called me to tell me about the new price quote was not even saying the same thing as the person I met (his first name is Ming whom looked like the owner), she said a lower price for the parts and a higher price for labor, however Ming told me a higher price for the parts and lower price for the labor, this tells me that they are definitely playing with the price to rip off innocent customers. Issue #2, when I came back after service was completed, I noticed my car window tint had a few long scratches on it, it was on the window that had the service done. I brought this issue to them, and you know what, they straightly denied they were responsible for those scratches. They lied that the scratches was already there when the car came in. That was straight out a big lie because it's the driver side window, there's no way I would not notice the multiple long scratches on the window if they were there before. These were new tints I just put on the windows a week ago. Only if I had taken pictures of the car before dropping off, I would have been able to prove to their face that they made those scratches! In summary, I had my window fixed for a higher price than the initial offer and with damage to my new window tint. This is a business with dishonesty, they made the service sound like quick and cheap in order to seal the deal, then they raise the price later. They are not responsible for any damage to your car (they have a disclaimer sign for this "proudly" hanging on the ceiling to make them feel better about not being liable for any damage to customer's car). In mid-June of 2020 rainwater flooded the interior of my car, entering through a defective sunroof…read more I brought my car to Auto Boss for them to repair the problem. On June 24, 2020, I picked up my car and paid Auto Boss $1,415.00 inclusive of tax: $1,000.00 for labor and $300.00 for parts. Their repair turned out to be ineffective: on August 4, 2020, rainwater again flooded my car. I then brought my car to another repair shop, Brooklyn Auto Tops Etc [sic]. The owner and manager of this business, Christopher Dean Ortiz, repaired the sunroof's track assembly and permanently fixed the problem. On August 13, 2020, I was driving my car and the brakes failed and I almost hit the car in front of me, which had stopped for a red light; had I not swerved into the adjacent and unoccupied left-hand turn lane there would have been a collision. I managed to drive my car to the nearby Auto Boss shop and waited in their office while their mechanics worked on the problem. When I drove away I noticed that the brakes were still not working properly and that the check engine light was on. Then I did what I should have done in the first place: I drove directly to Dean's garage. Dean then fixed both of these problems immediately and effectively. Before doing so, he opened the hood and explained to me the two ways that the Auto Boss technicians had put my life in danger. One danger was posed by their inept attempt to install a replacement master cylinder and brake fluid level sensor. They broke the wires that connected these two pieces; these loose wires were shorting on the metal of the car and causing the check engine light to come on. The danger here was that the broken sensor, disconnected from the master cylinder, would not alert me if my brake fluid level were becoming dangerously low. The other danger was posed by the incompetence of these technicians when bleeding the brakes; as a result, inadequate fluid pressure was being applied to the brakes even though I was pushing hard on the brake pedal. Dean effectively fixed this problem: thereafter, braking became smooth and almost effortless. Before Dean made these repairs, he and I took photos of my car's engine section. I then sent an email to Elliot Koegel, one of the owner and managers of Auto Boss, that included these photos. Elliot responded by maintaining that all this defective work (including their ineffective sunroof repair) had been performed by just one of his technicians. He added that he was contemplating firing this technician but needed to consult first with his business partner, Phil. What?!? Your technician almost gets me killed and you need a consultation? Worse yet, Elliot maintained that the sensor's being broken and disconnected from the master cylinder was not necessarily the result of an incompetent installation but could have been the consequence of a manufacturing defect or of a shipping mishap. But if that were indeed the reason for the sensor's disconnection and breakage, then even a minimally competent technician would have shipped the severed and broken parts back to the seller instead of trying and failing to install them. There truly was a profound disconnect here, the one between Elliot and logic.
