Jian's is pretty busy on Sundays but you still always manage to find a machine. Prices here are the cheapest after surveying the area. It's a no frills laundromat and the machines work well. No complaints here! I think it was tough to find a self serve laundromat on the UES, so i'm glad Jian's is still there!

I told the lady when I got there about the spot, and she sorta nodded her head. I think the reviews are right, I don't think their english is good. But if that's the case, that's totally fine, but make sure instructions are clear before you accept a job from a customer! The jacket came back with the same oil spot. So I put a simple spot treater and washed it myself, and it came right out. When I went back to the store, they said the manager didn't work there and to call another number. There is another cleaner right next door, and they are amazing! They do all my cleaning and alterations now - always a perfect job and friendly service E 88 Cleaners is who I'd highly recommend.

The clothes were returned in a plastic bag liner inside my hamper so the clothes stayed clean and the bag was very compact/easy to carry. There were no missing clothes and no damage. My clothes smelled very good and were grouped so all similar clothes were together and socks were paired. It ended up saving me so much time with putting away laundry because everything was so organized. In total, I probably spent less than 10 min on laundry between dropping and pick up the clothes myself and putting the clothes away. The price is also very worth it as well as the free pickup/delivery (~20lb of laundry was $23). Will definitely be going back!

The workers did not even have the decency to reimburse me for the jacket nor a fraction of the lost shirts. They simply replied to me if I'm sure it's not home and to check again triple times. They kept repeating themselves. They're japanese and couldn't speak well in english. The ethical way to handle business is by reimbursing the customer if they made a huge error. It's unprofessional for the owner to aggressively yell or blame the customer. Even the neighbors heard the altercation, one of them told me this has happened before. The owner is simply nasty and doesn't care. I commend you all to get your service done elsewhere. You may have gotten lucky once or more but one day this can happen to you too!!
