I would highly suggest the owner review what they have on the Yelp page because this is a site that many individuals use when searching for services. I have long hair and other stylists I have gone to would only give me layers at the bottom, but not Leah! She took the time to listen and understand what I wanted and even offered advice and options for different facial framing and bangs that were suited to my face and type of hair. Then she worked her magic and I couldn't be more pleased! As soon as we were done and I saw what she did, I had to ask her to send me pictures so that I could show my mom who has been sick of hearing me cry and complain after every haircut, but not this one! She loved the haircut, but unfortunately the color she chose looked so similar to her normal hair color, that she felt pretty disappointed that the highlights didn't look like the photos we had shown Kaya pre-appointment. I got in touch with her shortly after leaving, and she was so kind and understanding and scheduled a complimentary appointment to help get it to what she was hoping for. That time she nailed it and my daughter is thrilled with how the color turned out! We really appreciated Kaya's professionalism and care in making her first experience a success!

When I called the salon to express my concerns.I was specifically complaining about a stylist named Donna. According to her salon bio, she recently moved from Chicago. Less than 24 hours after making that complaint, I received a text message from an unknown Chicago-area phone number calling me names. The timing was concerning enough that I felt it should be reported to the salon. I did not feel that concern was taken seriously. I was told that someone would contact me regarding my complaint, but I was left waiting without any meaningful response. At this point, I was seeking a refund because I am deeply dissatisfied with the haircut itself, upset by the way my concerns have been handled, and troubled by the harassing message I received after reporting my experience. When my calls were not being returned, I called again for a third time and at that time was told that Donna is the owner of the business and would never do such a thing. My initial complaint was regarding my haircut. I have fine hair, and throughout my appointment the stylist described what she was doing as adding "movement" to my hair. At no point did I understand that significant debulking was being done. That is not something I would have requested. The result is that my hair feels much thinner than before, and I have not been able to find a way to style it that I feel good about. Another concern is that my hair was not blow-dried at the end of the service. It wasn't until I went home, washed it myself, and blow-dried it that I was able to fully see the haircut and notice the issues I have with it. Looking at it styled properly only made me more upset with the final result. Now this situation is much larger and I am still hoping for a full refund for the service.

She not only ruined my hair, she was rude and dismissive during the appointment (and after), and I should have walked out before I let her touch me. The color was orange and striped like a skunk. The cut was uneven and she failed to respond for two days and then refused to fix it without charge which is industry standard when a stylist screws up. The damage was beyond belief but not even an apology from her or the vile owner who, of course, backed her stylist. I lost my home and have severe health problems related to Tropical Storm Helene and paying Destonie $315.00 for chunks of my hair to fall out is heartbreaking and inexcusable. Shame on her and Zhenya. These people are far too big for their small-town britches.
