Sun Spa Tanning- Well I did not go for the tanning... I prefer the beach for my sun kissed look But, to each their own ( : I went for the infrared body wrap and i purchased it on groupon because i wanted to try it out. Although Sun Spa Tanning is not in my area and when i'm in town I don't go to the valley ( : The woman that work there were very nice even though one girl did not really want to answer my questions when i called and rushed me off the phone. If you decide to go in for a wrap make sure you make an appointment to be the first one in the morning otherwise you get a lot of sweaty people that you have to go in after. They do spray after every person "of course with the chemicals they use" But, you are still lying down on something wet that you will be wrap in like a tortilla! ( : I found that to be uncomfortable for myself .... Others may feel different ( : Oh and their was a lady there who said she had an apptmnt "on the half hr" But they told her she did not have an apptmnt and that they only make them on the hour. That lady was pretty upset as she drove a ways to get their herself. Oh and the place was clean and they do check on. read more

I bought an expensive package with a "high end" bed. I got NO color. They don't realize that their beds aren't giving off any color. And I don't think we should have to "swipe in" using our finger print. That is a way to spread germs, and it's so weird. The finger machine doesn't even work. Long story short: the beds in their salon don't make you tan. I paid less in Woodland Hills at Insatiable Sun and got great color. I should've kept going there. read more

I came in for the airbrush spray tan. It was my first time ever getting a spray tan, and I'm so glad that I chose Sun Spa. I called a few days prior to my session and I made an appointment for Friday at 10 am. I arrived a few minutes early and Harmony (i believe that was her name) was at the front desk checking everyone in. She was extremely apologetic that I had to wait a few minutes so she could start another woman's body wrap. I didn't mind at all and by the time I was finished with the paperwork and heading back to get a spray tan it was only 10:05. Harmony was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. And what is most important is that i was completely at ease with her. The spray tan is still present and it's been over week! I hope to add this to my beauty routine and I'll be sure to come back here if I do! read more

OK, here goes...I never tan. Actually, correction, I tan before special events (i.e. my 30th birthday party, my future wedding). I'm heading off to one of these events tomorrow, so I decided to pop in to use tan #3 of the 4 pack I bought back in February (for my 30th). I wasn't able to tan because their system (fingerprint i.d. scanner) "was down" and they would not honor the package they sold me. They told me I had 2 options: 1) pay for another tan, 2) go home and wait for their phone call that their system was back up. I was insulted that they were accusing me of lying. Why, on earth, would I throw myself into LA traffic the evening before I leave town to lie and try and cheat a business for a free tan??! I mean, really? In a time when tanning salons are closing their doors left and right, why would they turn away a customer? Being that I was one of two customers in the place, why couldn't they extend some courtesy? It wasn't my problem their high-tech system was down. They couldn't trust that I was telling the truth--that I had 2 tans left in my package. I'm not confrontational, so I gave it my best plea, and then walked out, obviously never to return. **In reading this I realize that complaining about not getting a tan is exceptionally petty considering the more important things going on in the world. Just wanted people to know that the service at this place is laughable. read more

Did the infrared sauna for the first time last week, absolutely loved it! Harmony was so sweet and informative and made me feel totally comfortable. I much prefer the infrared sauna over a traditional sauna and would definitely do it again :) read more

I have been searching for a great tanning salon in Sherman Oaks and now I have found it. I use to go to a great salon in OC called Bare Tans and was in search for a salon that could compare, Sun Spa is that Salon! It is extremely clean with great beds and the pricing is good. I bought a body wrap package here. I had been going to another local spot but this place is amazing so I will be coming here from now on. It is well decorated and nice. It is owned and ran by a very nice, friendly woman and her helpful, handsome son. The body wrap rooms are amazing - completely private with a flat screen TV to watch Netflix. They gave me a hand towel to use and bottle of water which was really nice. They check on you every 10 minutes and let you decide on the temperature you are comfortable with. read more

I absolutely LOVE coming in here to tan! The staff is always so warm and welcoming when I come in, especially Kelsea. She is very knowledgeable on different types of lotion which was much needed with my sensitive skin. She helped me pick out the perfect one and I've had no problems with it. My skin has a nice glow to it and isn't dry!! It's a miracle!!! The beds are amazing for the price. I go maybe once a week and am very pleased! I've had poor experience with tanning salons but this place eased my concerns and I won't go anywhere else now!! read more

This review is for the airbrush tanning. It's a five star review for the fact that the solution they use really does last. I got sprayed last Thursday and a week later I still had a good amount of color and I shower a lot ! So for tans to last a week and over on me is usually unlikely. Good job sun spa. read more

I have had more spray tans than I could ever count from all over LA and I have to say this was one of the best I've ever had! I had my airbrush done by Stacey, she's exceptional! I got the dark color I wanted for a photoshoot without any stickiness. The color stuck and dried almost instantly and I could get dressed within a couple minutes. I'm not sure what sort of suction they use but it's the most comfortable I've ever felt after being sprayed with any tan solution. Highly recommend! read more

Went in yesterday for a body wrap and had an amazing experience. It was my first time having this type of service and I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff were extremely knowledge, helpful and friendly. They addressed me by name they were personable and really made the experience great. I have been comming here on and off for about 4 years now. This place is one of the best! The most important thing for me is how clean this place is! I have used both the tanning beds and the body wraps, and each room I have been in is impeccable. The girls at the front are super helpful. When I first started comming here, one of the girls walked me step by step through their tanning packages, and helped me pick one out according to how often I planned on comming and what was the cheapest. The same thing happened when I decided to start the body wraps. When in the body wrap, who ever is working there at the time will wrap you up and continuously check on you throughout the session, making sure you have enough water and that the setting is to what you would like. They also have Netflix! They have free parking in the back, which is super convenient. They also have multiple coupons that they email to you and that are on their website and occasionally they will have a groupon :) read more

Had a great first experience today. I called ahead for info and schedule an appointment for infrared sauna. I spoke to Hailey who was very helpful, pleasant and polite on the phone. When I arrived a couple hours later for my appointment, Hailey was equally as awesome in person! The facility was very nice, clean and modern. I was very happy with my sessions today. I moved here in December from NY. I was going to my tanning salon in NY for 10 years and was afraid that I wouldn't find one out in LA that I liked.. My Dad bought me a gift certificate for Christmas and I decided to go with the unlimited monthly.. Ok so I've been having chronic back pain so I found an article on body wraps and decided to give it a try! This location is very clean and the girls at the front are attentive and friendly! It's set up like a typical massage would be in a private room with the comfortable table and you can watch Netflix while your sweating away! It's kinda like having a sauna on a blanket except your face can actually breathe! They check on you 2 times to increase your temperature level and they always take care of the customer. I got the special for 15.00 a session which I think is a great deal from what I've seen a lot of places charge! The parking is small but I've always found a space so they have enough spots to accommodate the clients going in! My back has had some relief and I'm pretty impressed with this place so far! read more

I was here last year and bought a spray tan for an event, but the front desk girl told me they were running a promo if I bought 2 would be cheaper. So I figured , hey why not have another event to go to which is now. So I know I used one and have another one unused. They told me its expired. I was like what, no way. I wouldn't have ever bought two knowing they expire 60 days. Would have bought only one at a time or even one for that matter. So that girl apparently doesn't even work there now. The girl who I dealt with today called the owner and accommodated me for what I was sold. That's customer service for you. Well done. This isn't the first time or second I have been here.
