Great place. Nice and clean. Got a same day appointment for the body wrap. I thought it was the body wrap I'd seen where they put some kind of plates or something on your target area but this was just like a burrito wrap. Im going to give my very honest experience about this place! Due to their sherman oaks location being close to my work I went to give this place a try. I have been tanning since I was 16years old so I know everything (ins and out) about it and im very experienced. I went in and bought a package for 30days to see how it is first and I have to tell you for going there every single day not only I wasted $100 and my time but I did not get any tan. The beds dont even work. I tried the silver package and the stand up. I was very disappointed knowing I tan so fast. I tired to talked to the girls and ofcourse the owner . The girls were super nice and they tried to help me out but ofcourse its the owner who makes the decisions. Everytime they spoke with him, and even when i spoke with him not only he didnt do anything about it he didnt even care and he said pay more to get higher beds?!!! Wtf! And started asking questions about my lotion etc... everything i was doing was correct, again it wasnt my first time tanning at a tanning salon! I should have been so tan within 30days! If those beds dont work then why did I just pay $100 for no reason? I had to pay for the past several times that I went in more so I can use "higher/better" beds but even then i got no tan. Overall I got very disappointed and I will never go back here! I dont recommond this place to anyone. You pay for nothing! read more

I was very disappointed! They are a new business and should be helpful and try not to loose their customers, which they did to me. I was promised that i will get free tanning session with the purchase, and when time came they refused to give it to me, said that i have to buy another package! If it was their mistake, they should fix it! I left very upset, cause i was counting on that tanning session, i spend my time, my gas to get there! I stumbled in here to use their versa bed when I first moved to the neighborhood about three years ago. I lived in a condo a few blocks away and found this place to be convenient, clean and no hassle. Well, recently I moved and that's when I realized how much I love Sun Spa. Second time in here for a spray tan ...last service was great also, my tan kept creasing around my neck and poor girl helped me out drying me and fixing the tan before it completely dryed which took forever, I did purchase an express packet of 3 sessions last time I was here which was about 12 days ago .....Definitely had great service tonight. Not olny was did they take me in on such short notice within an hr tonight, Denise was exceptionally great ! She likes to make sure her job is 1000000% perfect. As a business woman I would love to have employees such as Denise in my place of business. She was polite, attentive and professional; even when it did get a little hectic for one person. I noticed she tidied up the spray tan room impeccably well, the store owner would be proud.. Only reason why I give it 4 stars is because I previously came here and Denise couldn't find me in the system, not her fault but a lost in paperwork and communication I guess from the person who helped me last. I did purchase 3 session package but I didn't want to get Denise in trouble for another employees mistake so I paid as a single session. Again if you want a spray tan ask for Denise she's awesome! These tanning beds, along with the professionalism of the staff, are the best I have ever experienced. I continually get compliments on my tan. I have been going to Sun Spa for years and I absolutely love this place. They have great beds, I always walk out with such great color. The place is always clean which is very important to me. I was pretty nervous about the whole process, but the man working there was very helpful and patient (and pretty cute, which never hurts). He explained the whole process and put my mind at ease. I've been coming to this place for over 2 years and it's "fine." I get spray tans and the staff is typically slow to clean the machine, the versa is usually dirty and covered in lotion, and people take forEVER in there. Not the staff's problem, but I don't understand why people get a 2 minute spray tan and stay in there for 40 minutes (but also why is the staff never aware of people that are in there and how many people are waiting). But here's where it's super annoying - I'm moving to the east side. I spoke with the staff about a month ago and said I wouldn't really know when I was moving until we closed so wanted to continue my membership until I knew for sure. She said it wasn't a problem. So I go in yesterday to cancel my membership (fyi you can't do it over the phone or electronically) and the girl was like (so rudely) "um, yeah. you're past the date to cancel so we're gonna charge you for August." And I said I had spoken to someone and explained the situation and she was still super unhelpful and quite rude. So now I'm paying $80 for a month of tanning that I can't use. It wouldn't have been so frustrating if she wasn't so rude. Go there if you're desperate. But if you want a nice, clean, client friendly tanning salon - I'd recommend elsewhere. read more

INFRARED LIGHT/HEAT THERAPY: well I took a leap of faith and tried this treatment. It is advertised for all sorts of things (including weightloss). However, I have the back of a 90 year old so I was advised to try it as a giant heating pad ;) I had no idea who to expect. I advise everyone to read up on their website before going as they have great tips and instructions. Nonetheless, my muscle spasms felt the benefit right away! I highly recommend it. They let you read, watch movies, I even believe they subscribe to Netflix.... The facility was very clean and they checked on you often. This was very important when you are rolled up like a cocoon in heat and sweating! Haha Nonetheless, I can't attest to the weightloss as this was never my focus and I don't even own a scale ;) but this was a great stress relief, incredible for chronic muscle pain, and my skin benefitted from the detoxing as well. Also... If your a parent.... It's 50 min of child free bliss :-P read more
