I paid for a year access to red light therapy among other things only to be told that I could not use the red light therapy without first purchasing their related skin products. My skin is very, very sensitive and I typically rash with anything that is noncomedogenic. These products are not. Personally i am not a fan of the money hungry multi level marketing schemers that work in this building. The customer service is below 1 star. They make you feel as if you are doing something wrong by coming in during a special offer. Not to mention they will upsell the hell out of anything they can! For a $5 spray tan deal, you apparently MUST pay at least $10 altogether to include a primer packet. It's all lies! My friend paid $7, i paid $12, another paid $18. If i were in any other sun tan city location i would have paid $5. I don't think it's very legal for a manager to tell me i HAVE to purchase MORE than what is actually needed. This is literally the worst Sun Tan City ive ever been to. Not only do they up sell the hell out of you, their customer service is awful. No one seems to know what they're doing or even what they're selling. You feel hostage when they try to pull sell you a primer. They blame their money grabbing scheme on "the computers are telling us this" when the website says something completely different. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. I went here for my first spray tan because I had a coupon for a free spray on the first visit. I called beforehand and spoke to Mason who walked me through the process and told me how to prepare. Super helpful and polite. I went in and Blake gave me the run down and set me up in the newest booth. She was SO nice and SO helpful. I know it's these people's job to sell you stuff, but she was so genuine and didn't appear frustrated or annoyed that I declined signing up for a membership or buying some insanely expensive products. This is the friendliest tanning salon I have been to yet. It even made me consider going back to get a membership! read more

I came here this past Thursday to get a $5 spray tan for a social event. First, they roped me into buying a bunch of unnecessary products that made me spend way more than I wanted. I then had to wait 2.5 hours in line because they only had 3 booths working. I did not even get my spray tan due to it being 10pm and I was informed by a worker that it would be another hour til my name was called. I don't get spray tans often but this is just extremely disappointing. I don't think I'll be returning to this location. read more

I was always kind of scared to walk in here and get a membership because I don't look like the average person that would get spray tans, but the staff was so nice and made me feel welcomed. I'm currently doing the membership where you pay one time for the rest of the year and I go in maybe once or twice a week. The ladies in there so so nice and they always ask how my day was at work, since I work next door and I come over right after. The machines are very well cleaned, unlike most places. I would definitely recommend getting your membership here for spray tans! They do recommend products to you based on your skin type, which I love. I've bought only their two basic products and those work amazingly. The tanning beds look well cleaned as well, but I prefer the spray tans. But overall this place is so friendly and so nice. We arrived before a large group of people came in and we had not been registered before. The woman at the desk let about ten people go ahead of us and we ended up waiting over an hour to get our spray tans. The woman was incredibly rude to us and was very flustered during checking people in, blatantly ignoring our questions and speaking to us incredibly unprofessionally. They were understaffed and mean and incredibly passive aggressive. I understand being stressed on a promotional day, but they were horrifically unprepared. Will not be returning. read more

I have always been nervous about getting spray tans only because I would worry about giving off an orange tone or not having an even color. So I went in just for a free spray to try it out and walked out with my own membership!!!! My spray tan turned out amazing! The staff is so polite and helpful- they were able to set us up with everything I needed and for an awesome price! The machine messed up during my tan, and of course the customer service workers offered to fix it for me, but we're going to charge me for an additional spray tan! The manager was rather deceptive in her conversations with me. I feel like they were using the bait and switch sales tactic every time I went in. I would definitely think they would realize and change their bad business practices and use better management skills especially since they have an F rating on the BBB. This company has demonstrated how highly unethical they are and how they scam people. The only reason I went to Suntan city was because the cleanliness and the quality of their beds, but I would much rather go somewhere of lower caliber than to deal with a company that is okay with doing this to customers. If you're planning on tanning here, just make sure you begin your membership on the 1st of the month. Also, read the membership contract VERY carefully. I only wanted to buy a month of tanning in the Fastest bed and it cost me $72. Apparently this was a prorated price because I became a member on the 3rd of the month, rather than the 1st. Sun Tan City's contract states that if you became a member at a prorated price, you HAVE to pay the pull price (74$) for the next month. I went in thinking I was just going to buy a month of tanning that would start October 3rd and end November 3rd. NO. It does not work like that here. If you buy a month of tanning after the 1st of the month, you will automatically be charged for the next month. PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did. They DO NOT do refunds, even if you are not going to be using the service. Its a shady business and you have to read the small print. Another thing, do not assume that once your month you paid for is you up and just go on with your life. You have to tell them you want to cancel your membership or they will continue to charge you 74$ a month directly from your checking account. Again, YOU HAVE TO CALL AND TERMINATE THE MEMBERSHIP. Overall, the beds were fantastic and I got tan really fast, but it was such a headache having to deal with them that I will not be coming back. I do not recommend this business whatsoever. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE THE EMPLOYEES, if it weren't for them i would have been gone along time ago. I paid in person at my local sun tan city for my monthly plan and then i was billed ON TOP of that. I am now in the negatives of 89.00 plus every day that passes im being charged more. I talked with a Callie on the phone and she says there is nothing she can do until it is approved or denied. Not understanding why something that your business did wrongly has to be either approved or denied in the first place. I spend a lot of money with your business just to get double charged and possibly no refund. I refuse to spend any more money at a business that does not take my negative checking account SERIOUSLY. If there was a manager or somebody in charge i would love to speak with them. My bank says that sun tan city should be the ones to refund the WHOLE amount of money in the first place since it was SUN TAN CITY'S fault. Yes im pissed off and will be until this gets handled the right way. if this doesn't get resolved i will never spend my money on their lotions or expensive monthly plans and i will continue writing bad reviews and telling everyone not to go here. let me say again that i love the employees and i love to tan so i would hate to leave. read more

Due to my ethnic background I have never had to tan before. However, I went in to help with my skin and didn't know what to expect at all.The staff was so nice and the girl that showed me around gave me so many options that would best fit my schedule.
