I have a membership here and I like trying out the different beds. Well today I tried a fastest bed with red lights... well there was NO red lights at all. I tell the girl at the counter that the lights wasn't working and usual you'll feel warm... there was none of that but just on my face she said I couldn't and she'd put in for a maintenance request in for lights. I feel like they should know when the bulbs need changed because some people that go here don't have a membership and spend $20 on a bed not to even get tan!! Once a bed hits a quota with the lights they need to be changed out or this will keep happening and people will get mad over that fact they ain't even getting warm or hot from a bed!! She was nice atleast. I just want them to have better lighting and it's misinformation saying there's red lights when there ain't! read more

Very poor experience. Was treated unprofessionally. Rude. I would never recommend it to anyone. There's much nicer experiences elsewhere. I now use a great place called California Tanning on State St. In New Albany. read more

I have been so happy to walk into this STC location every time I visit. It doesn't matter what time of the day I go, I am always greeted with a smile and offered tips and tricks for tanning. I don't feel pressured to buy products here - but I am always offered a chance to try new products and take advantage of deals. read more

I would rate this store 5 stars like I would the other locations but they have the nastiest, most hateful employees. They almost like harass you to buy additional items and they treat customers like they are such an inconvenience to them! Be so careful. There is no such thing as a one month membership. It is explained very fast and I was told when I initially signed up on May 5th that at the end of May if I was sure to tell them that I could cancel. On May 29th when I told them I wanted to cancel I was told I was required to have my card charged for one more month before cancelling. You sign a key pad and are given nothing in writing. I have been a Sun Tan City customer for about two years. I go approximately once a week. It is typically a simple visit - walk in, maybe wait a short time, get sprayed, leave. The staff is always friendly and it's no trouble. For the past six months or so, it seems like there have been a lot of problems. Two different times, I was sprayed, but it seemed odd and a tan never developed. One time I went and their internet was down and the staff was HEATED about it. Twice I have stopped in and they have had issues with their beds and asked me to go to a different Sun Tan City a few miles away. Tonight, I showed up 15 minutes before closing and I was told it would be a long wait. I hesitated because I was trying to decide if I should stay. The girl at the counter told me that I would be there after they closed and the door would be locked when I came out. I was leaning toward not staying when another employee (who I remember from other visits and she has ALWAYS had a negative attitude) came out and said that she had seven down. I was trying to be sympathetic to her because she regularly seems overwhelmed with her job and I said, "oh, wow" or something like that. She snapped at me and said, "well we close in 15 minutes and it takes 30 minutes to break down a bed." I told her that I was sorry for bothering her and I left. I won't be back. read more

Went in for a spray tan for myself and my daughter. She didn't have ID so they said she was unable to get one. I understand rules so only I was going to get one. She's young but wanted to try one (we use high SPF and try to avoid sun damage). As I was getting ready to pay they ask me how old my daughter is and when I answer 11, they state she cannot sit in the lobby because she's not 12. Really? If I had ID she could go back for a spray tan but since she can't, she can't go back with me or wait? I get rules and safety, but there was no reason she could not have gone back with me. My money will be spent elsewhere and I will not be going back. read more
