Sun Tint did a fantastic job on my car! I called about a week in advance to schedule a Saturday tinting and I was told that it would take about an hour and a half to two hours to complete the tinting. I got there about 15 mins before my scheduled appointment and they got right to work as soon as I dropped off my car. Everything took about an hour and a half. The newer tinting films will have some bubbling at first. These films are designed with micropores, which let air and water vapor out of the area between the film and window. After about a week or so, all of the bubbles were gone. From top to bottom Sun Tint did a fantastic job with my car. Thank you! read more

We hired these folks to remove some old tint that had gone all bubbly from our Honda and replace it with something new. They clearly explained all our options and helped us pick the sort of tint that was right for us, which is good because I don't know anything about tinting. They finished the job much more quickly than I expected them to. It has been several months if not a year since then and the tint has held up great. No bubbling or anything. Brought my second car here today (first time I came here was 3 years ago with my old car). Made an appointment for 9am, got there about 8:45 and was back in my car with tint done by 9:30! First, this is an auto-related business that you can actually find. When you are driving down Koenig and you see 1700, you pull in, stop, and you are at the front door. I am adamant about reducing my sun exposure and have had sun film on all windows of all my cars for the last 30 years in different states. Suntint has done the last two jobs for me. I strongly recommend them. They know their products, they know the various requirements, they also do the work for Austin police vehicles. Results are perfect. Service is perfect. If you decide to wait while they work on your car, bring your work; waiting area is large, clean, quiet, with wifi and coffee. There is a cafe across the street. After 11 years my car tint started having issues. The drivers side tint started coming off making it hard to see. Other windows also started showing the same signs. Thankfully we still had the sun tint warranty card. Set an appt. and brought the car in. I was planning on waiting but due to the recent cold weather it was going to take longer to do the tint. I live fairly close so they offered to give me a ride home. Later the same day they called to let me know my car was ready and they replaced tint for all windows. Picked it up and everything looks great. This is for a 2004 Mazda3 with 200k miles on it. The tint is going to out live the car. They were really nice and never showed any annoyance at the 11 year old warranty service on a beater car. I stopped by Sun Tint just to get a price check for tinting my new Tesla Model 3 (not expecting to be able to walk in) and they were able to get me in immediately. Done in less than 2 hours and it cost $1000 less than the quote I had just gotten down the road! They have experience tinting Tesla's and were able to to do the back window with a single sheet (w/o special ordering anything) and knew not to tint the front windshield because of the car's sensors. I had the windows of my new van with glass all the way around tinted at Sun Tint. When I called for an appointment they were able to get me in on the day requested with no hassle. When I arrived with my van for the appointment the staff was very friendly (including Sammy the Golden Retreiver) and were able to get my van in at the appointed time. I had a car tinted by them decades ago and was very happy so I took my current car to them to get tinted when it was new. Recently I noticed there was some kind of a smear on the bottom of the passenger window so I took it in. They took a look at the car and found that other windows also had some problems none of which I had noticed. So they offered to not only replace the film on the passenger window but to re-tint the whole car. We scheduled a time and they warned me it might take 5 hours to remove the old film and re-tint. I brought it in at the scheduled time which turned out to be a slow day for them so they told me they could have multiple people work on it and perhaps get it done in 3 hours instead of 5. I was waiting for it so the savings of 2 hours was great news. The waiting room has TV, coffee, soda and a friendly mellow dog called Sam who loves to be petted. They finished the car in 2 hours, saving yet another hour. And all the work was covered by the lifetime warranty. They will definitely be tinting my next car too. read more

Sun Tint is the best. My latest tint job is, I think, the third I've had done at Sun Tint. If I count the friends I've referred I'd be up to about 5. We are all happy with the service and the product. The driver side film on the latest job began to peel up at the corner by the mirror after only a couple of weeks.. I called and was invited to come back for an immediate fix. A quick glance at my paper work was all that was needed. An hour later I was on my way. I haven't rolled the window down yet so I don't know if the repair has been done. I suspect it has. If not I now where to go and I know Sun Tint will make it right. Thank you Sun Tint! read more

I had the windows retinted on my 1997 Camry since the original tint had faded and was peeling off. They did a great job at a reasonable price. I read all the reviews online and was concerned about the one negative review with the cigarette smoking incident, but decided there were so many good reviews that I would give Sun Tint a try. I decided to stay in their lounge during my tint install as I was leery about the cigarette smoking review. I was 100% pleased with everything! The lounge was comfortable, they offered refreshments, there was Wi-Fi so I was able to work. I was also able to listen to many incoming phone conversations as well as incoming customers. And there were quite a few of both for me to listen to. Everyone at Sun Tint was absolutely professional, I would recommend them with no hesitation whatsoever! My BMW 535 looks awesome with the new tint and I know if I have an issue that they will take care of it. read more

I've taken 3 cars to Sun Tint for window tinting and each time I've been very happy. Their service is consistently good and my car is always ready when promised. I find their prices to be just a tad higher than the competition and that would be the only reason for a 4 star rating than a 5 star. Expert craftsmanship and honest work. Front desk assistant very knowledgeable and didn't push one product or the other, just demonstrated the differences (the product sold itself). They are also very aware of what would and would not pass Texas state [car] inspection, so I appreciate having confidence that my tinting would pass state inspections (it hasn't in the past with a past car that had tinting done by a different company in Houston). I park in an open-air parking lot, but with the tinting job that I purchased (the "Best" package) the difference in the amount of heat (reduces heat intake by 82%) is significant. Of course blocking out 99% of UV rays is great too. They let me keep my keys there until I could pick them up next business day (had a spare set of keys, picked my car up from the lot in the evening when the business was closed). The area is sketch, I wouldn't want to leave my car in the parking lot... Thank you for doing such a great job! Will recommend you to anyone and know where to go for future cars. read more

I was walking by the store and decided to pop in to get some info as I was researching tint shops anyway and Sun Tint was on the way home. I asked a random employee a question and he stopped what he was doing and answered every question I had which was nice enough but to his credit he went inside to grab some information to let me take home. That is exactly what employers want from the employees; above and beyond service. Every employee that I spoke with was equally genuinely nice to deal with. Also of not is that I performed a lot of research to find a good value and found out that a lot of competitors quote a lower price but it is for 4 windows. They don't include the back window. So make sure you compare apples to apples I have had the car tinted for a few weeks and I am enjoying every minute of it. I had the back 5 tinted and not the front and there is a huge difference. I plan on getting the front done in a few weeks. I will be telling everyone who asks to give Sun Tint a try and they won't be sorry. read more

I have had several vehicles tinted over many years from Sun Tint and the work was always exceptional. Tint still looked great even after several years in the Texas sun. Last week I brought in a vehicle that I purchased used that had tinting done at Howdy Honda. The rear window was peeling and so hazed over it was difficult to see through. Sun Tint had it replaced in less than an hour and the results looked perfect. Price, as always, was very reasonable. I wouldn't go any where else. read more

I was terrified to take my brand new (beautiful!) 2011 5 series BMW to get the windows tinted, but this is where the dealership said to go so I did. They got me an appt right away. The woman at the front desk could tell I was a nervous wreck and was very patient with me throughout the whole process. When I walked outside to look at the work I nearly fainted. All around the edges where the newer cars have the bumps on the windows, the tint looked like a disaster. She calmly smiled, told me it would be fine and to give it 5-7 days to dry then bring it back for them to smooth out if I still wasn't happy. That there just wasn't anything that anybody could do about that part of the window. I left distraught. Sure enough, in about 2 days, the tint looked absolutely FLAWLESS. Still does. I am such a fan of this place. As for the rest - everyone was very friendly, price was okay, big comfortable waiting area, staff offered me drinks more than once, tv was on, wifi was available and they finished sooner than they said they would. What else would you want? If BMW sends customers there, that's a pretty strong recommendation on its own. Good stuff. read more

i must really apologize for not reviewing any earlier. i had done my research on places to go that were locally owned and had great customer service. i had just received my new leased company vehicle and it was sans tint. i like the privacy factor of window tint and the fact that every metal component inside does not brand you in the middle of summer when you jump in. it was a sad donkey's b-day and i had plenty to do before i watched drum circles. i did not have an appointment, but i dropped by early and talked to a very helpful young woman as soon as she unlocked the door. this place was extremely busy. the phone instantly began to ring and there were four customers with appointments right behind me. she said she was completely booked, but could probably fit me in if i could drop it off. i came right back with a ride and dropped it off. she made some great suggestions and knew exactly what would look good. she even brought samples out to the parking lot to show me what each would look like as her phone was going crazy. i affirmed they were a member of aiba and she agreed. the price was great and i picked up my newly tinted vehicle after hours. they had made me feel very comfortable knowing that if i had any problems they would be more than happy to fix it. this was one of those transactions where you feel completely at ease and it is almost like it never happened. read more
