We walked from the main entrance parking lot to the North overlook at back distance was able 4.30 miles we did do some extra walking around another area on our way back down. But a beautiful trail with decent amount of trees for some shade. There is some parking available closer to the trail however is was definitely full lot by the time I arrived. There is a golf course as well. Definitely a well cherished park as we saw a lot of hikers, bikers, running, the courts were full and the playgrounds were busy and just people enjoying the views and wonderful weather.

The area around and under all of the play structures is astroturf. Some of the play structures and the swings have shade clothes above them to minimize the effects of the sun. There are a few benches for supervising adults to rest on. My husband and I frequently include the park as part of our walks and it is always immaculate, including the play area. In addition to the picnic gazebo in the new extension, there are several picnic tables in the original part of the park. The park is perfect for a picnic lunch and stroll, or a picnic and play outing for children.

At the time it was one fo the few places near my childhood neighborhood of okolona that had a full court basketball court. So we wore that out a few times. Over the years I have come back with my kiddos. It has some nice scenic sitting points that goes along a tiny concrete walking path that circles the basketball courts and playground. They also have some tennis courts. The playground is pretty standard but the kids have fun on it. They do have a nice large parking lot that makes parking easy breezy. Overall nice, quaint and fun little park that me and my family enjoy visiting here and there. Long time staple of the parks system in the Louisville area and I see no reason it will not continue to be.

There are definitely nicer parks in New Albany, but we're still better off having Binford Park than…read morenot having it. The main draw is soccer; those games are a lightning rod for New Albanians and fill up the park. Beyond those games, this park rarely attracts more than a handful of people, so finding peace and quiet here isn't a challenge. There's a spiffy basketball court and a decent playground as far as amenities go, and when it's not a game day, parking is easy as pie. Binford Park used to have a sketchy reputation, but the City of New Albany has made a respectable effort to turn this around. If you park in the very back, you'll likely find a clue or two that some after-hours partying (...and perhaps a bit more) happens here, but the park as a whole feels completely safe during the day. But while it's great that the park's been cleaned up, it still feels underdeveloped to some degree, with a lot of empty space and nothing to really make it stand out. Also, whoever runs this park seems to have a vendetta against benches, because there's like... 1 picnic bench in the entire park. It's bizarre. There's a lot of potential with this park, really. New Albany is on the up-and-up and I could see the city doing cool things with this park as downtown continues to break out. As it stands, Binford is no Sam Peden by any means but it's still a decent enough community resource.

It is optimized (I would say) for soccer/field sports. This includes new sod and irrigation system. There is a decent amount of parking, though when it is busy in the evenings or on weekends it can be tough to move about in a car quickly. The playground at Ashland Park is great. Such as: the ramp that leads up to the playground structure that's accessible to wheelchairs and strollers, the different kinds of swings with different kinds of seating arrangements, the cruiser that can accommodate more than one person, and other little features and details. My kids had fun going from one thing to the other. They especially liked the slides -- there are a few. It was cold as (snow)balls when we visited, but the playground was so fun that my kids paid no mind to the cold and we stayed there a long time. The view is so beautiful here. The park overlooks the Ohio River, and across the river you can see the Louisville skyline. I kept trying to take photos of the view, but you know how it is: The photos never live up to the real experience. The Ohio River Greenway runs by Ashland Park. Take that trail southeast, and you'll find shops and restaurants in downtown Clarksville. The park is super close to lots of fun things.

Situated right across from brownsboro station shopping center my family and I noticed this small walking park with open spaces while dining across the street at noosh Noosh for lunch. It was me, my wife and our 4th born daughter who is one so after lunch we walked over tot his park. As mentioned it is wide open spaces with some beautiful trees and bushes spread out. They have a tiny mulched out walking trail that makes a circle through the park. Inside the park on the trail is a interesting bear statue. He is known as Rudy the bear to the locals. My one year old loved the open spaces, Rudy the bear and was mesmerized by the gigantic trees. Made for a cute and peaceful little walk and trip. I'm not from the neighborhood of windy hills but I imagine they host several community events and things here as it's a perfect spot for things like that. Very well upkept and pretty grounds too. Overall a cool and unexpected find whole out for lunch with some of the family. W enjoyed the scenery and hanging out with Rudy the bear for a bit.
