Service was a in house rebuild on a 2006 F150 transmission. Mike takes care of the rebuilds and his expertise shows. Oh I guess now is a good time to mention that this vehicle has 439,000 plus miles on it. And the transmission had never been touched as far as repairs, just fluid and filter changes when I remembered they were due. They stand behind the work and do understand the customers needs. Had a slight issue after picking the truck up that was promptly addressed even though it was actually not related to the rebuild. My shift cable was so old that it would not retain adjustment. It was 20 years old at least. Mike found the issue and actually walked me out so I could see what was happening. Part was ordered, wrong part was shipped over to there shop twice due to it not matching the vin number. When they found the part number after removal. Nadira actually ran and picked it up to help expedite the repair. Mike took care of the labor to install and I just paid for the cable. They didn't have to do this, this was above and beyond since this was not related to the actual work preformed or quoted. Transmission has about 350 miles on it now and wow its working way better than I could have dreamed of shifts are on point and smoother than I would have ever dreamed off. Way to go, This shop is on my highly recommend list and I will be taking all my business here if the need ever arises. Shop has my vote for business of the year, way to go to the whole crew involved. Told me to come in to check it out and Mike went out to diagnose the issue and he advised it's not a trans issue, but an electrical issue based on the codes that were coming up. He suggested I find a place specializing in electrical. They didn't try to nickel and dime me and charge an inspection fee. For a Saturday they were pretty busy and the parking lot was full. He asked me then if he could install it. I said yes. He installed it and it still leaked. He pulled it out and said he found the leak and Re-installed it and asked me to come. Car would not start. He handed me a broken oil filler tube and said it was broken. He was lying. I looked at engine. When they put starter back together, they crunched all the air hoses. They pulled off starter and re-positioned air hoses. Some hose got ruined. Another issue they put water in my anti-freeze tank. You don't put water in an antifreeze tank in a Porsche? He did not know how to release the pressure of air in anti-freeze tank and car overheated. I personally had to fix all these issues. Not only that the car still leaked fluid in transmission. George blamed it on the flywheel was bad. I asked him if he tightened bolts per Porsche specs. He said, "It does not Matter". I brought my Porsche after the fact to Porsche. They said tightening bolts to specs on Porsche Automatic Tiptronic Transmission flywheel is one of the most important things. If not, it will still leak. George Masked my issue and did not fix it. Now, I am stuck putting transmission fluid in my Porsche every 2 weeks because it leaks out!

He didn't bother to show up but the court officer still required that I plead my case. He ruled in my favor only because I did take my SUV back & gave Mr Cook 2 more months to fix it and he didn't. He was also amazed at my story. To date, Mr Cook has not contacted me or refunded my $2668.48. He feels this is all a joke.

I finally parked in my driveway way after having it for a couple weeks and noticed it was leaking. Took it back and they didn't have time to look at it. They sent me down to their sister shop and they said it was a gasket leak. It was a small leak and I every time it's in their shop it's 3-4 days. I missed enough work, decided to wait until I needed to service and fix it myself. I found a random 12mm bolt in one hole and my pan was damaged on the lip. No wonder it was leaking. Whatever tech worked on my truck definitely had the " that's the next guys problem" attitude.

After stellar Yelp reviews (4 plus) guided us to AMC, paid over $3000 (for a broken serpentine…read morebelt, AC belts, new radiator etc., with all parts warranted per AMC). Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.

It would chug at stop lights and it was behaving like it wasn't getting fuel... and it finally even died on me. Well, thank god I was able to get it to a local mechanic and when calling all my friends on who they would use, many of them cited the same place and it was Scott Repmans off Bell. Especially because I've got a diesel and I know they require a special touch. Well, not only was I expecting the bill to be much higher but I honestly wasn't expecting to get it back until Thursday or even Friday. Turns out it was a sensor for the accelerator and they had it ready for pickup on Monday by 3pm! It drives BETTER than even before the problems began and I now know where to take it for my tune-up and maintenance like oil changes. Super thrilled with this place and will recommend them along with my buddies now.

The parking lot was full and my passenger was happy with their service. I needed to replace my Wife's car AC cabin fan and radiator fan. I bought the parts at the dealer expecting to do the repair myself. After watching YouTube videos I decided someone with actual skill and experience needed to do the job. I made an appointment through Yelp. The repair took about three hours. I was happy when they called with the request to proceed after testing that they did not try to up sell me on other repairs, just I was right that the fan motors were bad. When I picked up the repaired car, they did have a list of issues and discussed the importance of repairing each. Most were just fine right now but watch for issues in the future. They did say there was a split hose from the engine air filter to the engine which needed replacing sooner than later. Since I do the routine maintenance on my cars at home they suggested buying a new hose and installing it myself. They were happy to do it but said that part was easy to replace. I also appreciate they returned the replaced parts without me asking. First repair and I'm impressed. I posted on an Uber driver facebook group about the company. One driver replied they don't go Cha-Ching when a female walks in. Everything about my first repair was transparent and fully discussed before the repair and when I picked up.

They, they gave me all the info upfront and even had in-house options for financing. It only took them about 4 to 5 days to do the transmission. I've had my truck back about a month and so far seems to be running pretty smoothly.

I have never dealt with someone so rude that is supplying a service to me and wants my money. So short on the phone and in person as well. At no point did I ever feel like a valued customer. He was a reference to me from my mechanic. Because he does transmissions. I do believe that the technicians in the garage do a good job however the front of their office, needs to be overhauled. His wife is super sweet. She was super nice. And it's unfortunate that I will not recommend this company to anybody because of him. Not to mention while my truck was there they left it outside and thieves stole my catalytic converter. They did replace the catalytic converter but didn't install it correctly. They used band clamps with sockets instead of welding it in place like they should have. And didn't even bother to tell me that that had happened. I found out as I was on the freeway and one of the band clamps blew apart. It's best that you just go somewhere else.
