I used to dread going to the dentist, and I had a lot of anxiety around it, but he has completely eased that. Now I actually enjoy going because of him and his team. He goes above and beyond his role to make sure you're not only taken care of, but genuinely comfortable. You can tell he truly cares about you as a patient and as a person - not just as a number or a paycheck. As someone who has had severest of autoimmune disease issues and life altering anxiety a very long time, I've experienced both really great doctors and really disappointing ones. This is actually the first review I've ever left because I think it's important for people to understand the difference... and Dr. Dow is exactly what a doctor should be. I had been searching for a dentist for almost a year after moving to Chicago in 2023, and I'm so glad I didn't settle for anyone else. They are the absolute best. His team even calls after certain exams or procedures just to make sure I'm doing okay... which is honestly unheard of these days. If you're looking for a professional, highly skilled, and incredibly knowledgeable dentist, you've found the right place. He let me know that his patients that have gone through with the deprogrammer, have told him that this has been life changing. With TMJ disorders, sometimes you just have to go through other tests and diagnostic tools to get to the diagnoses. I truly appreciate him giving me a call to clear some things up and he also offered me a full refund.

I reached out online and told them how much pain I was in. They took my pain seriously, emailed me back quickly, and booked an appointment for me with short notice. I was embarrassed because I knew my teeth were in bad shape. But everyone I talked to from beginning to end was so warm and friendly that I felt comfortable right away. After Dr. Schoening examined my teeth, I was referred to an oral surgeon (who was also excellent) to deal with some teeth that couldn't be saved. And Dr. Schoening came up with a plan to get my other teeth in good shape. I had a deep cleaning, which must have been a real chore for Dr. Schoening with how bad my teeth were. But Dr. Schoening never made me feel ashamed. He made sure I was physically comfortable as he worked, and he did an excellent job on my teeth. I'm so relieved to have found such an excellent dentist, and the entire team is incredible. My teeth feel and look a lot better. I've got my next appointment scheduled in 3 months, and I plan on coming back again and again. Also, the views from the dentist chairs are fantastic!

Dr. Van Fossen is amazing, she's the best dentist I've ever been to in Chicago. She's very knowledge, personable, and takes a more conservative approach to dental work which is definitely in line with my philosophy. If you're looking for a movie star dentist that makes all their money from the latest cosmetic teeth fancying gimmick she may not be for you. If you're looking for a phenomenal dentist who is helpful, cares about your teeth, has great hygienists, and won't push unnecessary dental work I absolutely recommend her.

I got a speech from her receptionist (who was in the background hearing instructions from woodside.) They threatened to fire me as a patient! I know my teeth are a pain, but NEVER in my life have i been fired from anywhere... let alone from the dentist! Good luck!

I waited about 45 minutes for my appointment to begin, and I was initially treated rudely by both the dentist and the assistant. I thought that she might simply be busy. However, it was Friday, and the dentist appeared to answer personal calls and other social activities while I waited. When the service did begin, the assistant was very nice and treated me pretty kindly, and Dr. Obucina was not bad. I believe she was thorough in her assessment and that she gave an appropriate amount of information. However, upon my exit, she seemed cold, business-like and as if I did not matter at all to her as a person. The experience left me feeling ignored and unappreciated as a customer, and I do not think I would return. My disappointment may be in part because I had such high hopes initially, given the reviews I had read via Yelp (and I was actually going to recommend my many personal acquaintances to Dr. Obucina), but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively speaking, and I do not think any customer should experience such treatment. On the positive side, I received a pretty good deal on the service.

They cost too much, hurt my teeth and gums during routine cleanings, or once even tried to convince me I needed a root canal when I was totally asymptomatic. Having had healthy teeth my whole life, I called Dr. Mach's office back home in Woodridge for advice. He offered a second opinion basically free of charge, looked at my x-rays, even examined the tooth in question, and told me I didn't need the procedure. He then gave me the name of one of his colleagues from dental school who was practicing in Cambridge. This guy ended up being great too, so it just reinforced my trust in Dr. Mach. If your family needs a dentist, this is your guy. I travel from the city just to get my teeth cleaned because his staff is the best.

She took a look at the X-rays the other office sent over, said that I was fine and what they were proposing was both odd and not supported by the facts. She saved me over 5k in needless work. I have seen her for emergencies, cleanings and everything in between. She is expert in tmj issues and sensitive to the needs of patients with related problems. I had what I thought was a tmj issue that she examined, she determined it to be a different problem and refered me to follow up with a physician, correctly analyzing something that had been mis-diagnosed previously. Dr. Diachenko is not just a great dentist and a highly knowledgable professional she is also a pleasure to talk to and is a wonderful person. I Can't recommend her enough.

The wall paint, decor, and ceiling, howevering, could use some sprucing up. Also, the outside of the building has a generic "DENTIST" sign on it which could use some brand design updates as well. Parking: There is a large private lot, so parking is not an issue.

I mentioned to an orthodontist he recommended me to (a friend of his from Croatia, they're both from there..) that I was concerned about his "competence" because a crown kept popping off. I didn't mention I felt I was being molested. He told me I should try UIC dental school. He refered me to their specialty dept. (read my other review). He must have told Mitrovic about my "competence" question, and it must have hurt his "feelings" because when one of the fillings he did fell out, I contacted him to put it back, but I was hesitant to go back and be further molested. Yet waiting for UIC was forever and I needed that filling put back. Well, he told his receptionist to let me know he had a skiing accident.It may be true, but I was told he is working with just one hand for just easy cases. Really? He was working with one arm.? This isn't even the dime store dentist, it's the Penny Store.

I truly appreciate his attention to detail and commitment to preserving the aesthetic authenticity of my teeth. I plan to work with Dr. Stein to replace some old fillings that I had filled by my previous dentist. I have also started an Invisalign treatment with Dr. Stein. Currently 6 months into the treatment and already seeing significant improvement in the alignment of my teeth. Dr. Stein has always been very transparent and forthcoming in regards to both the cost and my expectations of the final result. He was able to provide me with a computer animated 3D-model of my teeth so I can track the progress of the movement with each Invisalign tray. It's a really neat tool that helps me visualize the drastic improvement in my smile from start to finish. Overall- I highly recommend Dr. Stein and look forward to many years of bright and happy smiles thanks to his fine work.

Dr. Krinsky checked out my teeth, said everything looked good and immediately the young tech jumped up asking things like "well what about here?" or "what about this?" I get being young and eager, but when good old Krinsky starts hemming and hawing like he was clearly unsure, then saying "yea I guess so.." that's when I become suspect. I wasn't born yesterday, clearly you're fishing for work. ALL of a sudden after he first said my teeth looked great, backtracked and now said I needed two fillings. My mother was with me and had a similar experience. Nothing was said to her during her appointment but when we went to leave it was the front desk ladies in fact that informed her she needed to schedule a second appointment for fillings. Wait a minute!! Why are we hearing this from the receptionist and not the dentist? The entire experience sat uneasy with me so I never returned for fillings or a followup visit. Fast forward 2-3 years, (terrible - I know) I go to a different dentist and explain my last experience. It was then that she confirmed everything I felt to be true. She explained that I did need one small filling but there was no way it existed back then. She completely validated my feelings and agreed that sometimes dentists could be a little shady. She went through my X-rays and pointed out all of the spots to watch for, and even the small cavity that I had - something Krinsky NEVER did. I cannot believe that man is still in business.

There is a reason they have a 5-Star rating on Yelp! My initial reaction was with Kiki in the office. I was completely lost with how to handle my new insurance but she took my information and had me set up in no time. She even followed up with me a few hours later to let me know that everything had cleared and confirm my appointment. As I type this, I currently have a LOT of work to be done on my teeth, but my experiences thus far have been nothing short of, dare I say, almost enjoyable. Barb & Anna are wonderful dental hygienists. Being a naturally inquisitive creature, they walk me through every step, not only telling me what they're doing but also why. They're also gentle, yet very effective, in their handling which is really surprising. Dr Chidester is also an immensely likable, no-nonsense doctor with decades of experience under his belt.
