Even though the office was clearly busy, I never once felt rushed or like just another patient on a list. The entire team was incredibly attentive and genuinely focused on making sure I was comfortable and okay. I ended up needing a crown, and they handled everything right then and there, no temporary fix, no waiting weeks for a crown. The fact that they were able to complete the entire procedure on the spot was impressive on its own, but what stood out even more was the quality of the work and the care behind it. Jackie and Dr. Rob were exceptional. They walked me through everything, made sure I felt at ease, and checked in constantly throughout the process. For something that could have been stressful, they made it seamless. I'm beyond grateful for the level of professionalism, efficiency, and compassion I experienced. Couldn't recommend them more. Lol when I told her I was upset about her filing my teeth down - looks very chopped off and there is Space between my teeth now that shows daylight between my teeth - she told me " Im concerned about you" ie gaslighting - I wish I never set foot in this office such a disappointment. The rest of the staff is super nice & Dr Stino also nice but I have never been to a Dentist that just did whatever they wanted & tell you about it afterward- extremely presumptuous- without explaining and Asking permission. Given a choice I would have said no don't file my teeth ! They are really hard to clean because at the gum line there is less enamel -

I had been searching for a dentist for almost a year after moving to Chicago in 2023, and I'm so glad I didn't settle for anyone else. They are the absolute best. His team even calls after certain exams or procedures just to make sure I'm doing okay... which is honestly unheard of these days. He let me know that his patients that have gone through with the deprogrammer, have told him that this has been life changing. With TMJ disorders, sometimes you just have to go through other tests and diagnostic tools to get to the diagnoses. I truly appreciate him giving me a call to clear some things up and he also offered me a full refund.

I had a standard cleaning and x-ray check up, and afterwards, Mrs. Rojas checked my x-rays and mentioned that there appears to be potential cavities based on the x-rays. As a preventative measure, she recommended Silver Diamine Fluoride. I never heard of this, and I asked her if there were any side effects. She said it was safe and it's often applied to children (she also added that it was safe in that she applies it to her own son). I took Mrs. Rojas word and she made the first of two applications. I came home and noticed on the bottom of my lip a black mark. After googling Silver Fluoride side effects, one is that it can turn your teeth black and can also blacken the skin. I called up Mrs. Rojas, and asked her why she didn't mention this side effect, especially when I asked her about potential side effects. She said she didn't remember that I asked the question, and that the side effect of blackening teeth/skin is very rare. I was astonished that she said she didn't recall me asking, and even more astonished that she knew of the side effect. The Silver Fluoride requires two applications. I told her that I do not want to be charged and I'm not taking the second application. She said that the side effect is no reason for her not charging me, and that the benefits of preventive cavity treatment outweigh the potential side effects of blackened teeth/skin. This answer from Mrs. Rojas is alarming. Her judgment as a health care professional is off and her ethics are questionable . I can not trust Mrs. Rojas after this experience, and I'm hoping this side effect is not permanent.

He used a solution from a streaming jet that cleaned my gums and targeted two years of plaque build-up. He then recommended I purchase a Burst electric toothbrush and showed me how to use it and proper flossing techniques. I felt extremely comfortable during the entire dental exam and I rescheduled a follow up cleaning in three months just to make sure I don't ignore my teeth and gums again. Recently, when my dentist could not make it to my appointment, Dr. Schoening was kind enough to squeeze me in. Having not met him previously, I was a little anxious. However, he swiftly put me at ease. I found him to be professional and friendly. Dr. Schoening cleaned my teeth himself, and conducted the exam gently and efficiently. Best experience ever. If I could give more than five stars I would. The dentist has always been my biggest fear, but Dr. Schoening's office is the best. The whole staff is very nice, and the views are amazing. Dr. Schoening is very thorough, and makes sure you understand everything he is saying. When I went toward the end of last year, they did a typical sales pitch. The multiple times I went we had discussed Invisalign. I had braces growing up but lost my retainer and my bottom teeth have shifted slightly. Multiple times we discussed only getting the bottom. I was given a cost for the bottom tray. That's all I wanted. We repeated this conversation multiple times. On the day they scanned, we started with my bottom teeth. The tech then started scanning my top teeth, I stopped her and told her we were only doing the bottom. Her response was they needed to scan the top too to see how my top teeth interact with the bottom teeth. This made sense to me. Fast forward to mid February, I still hadn't heard anything so I call. Apparently it had already arrived, but they wouldn't tell me when. I went in this past Monday to pick it up. When I was getting fitted they pull out the bottom and top piece, I even said wait the top too? I was surprised and didn't know what to do. When I got to the front, the receptionist gave me a cost that was $700 dollars more than the original cost they'd told me. My jaw dropped and I explained how I was only supposed to get the bottom. Of course suddenly none of the notes say this and any quote is not available. No one would talk to me about it then and I still have NOT heard from anyone and I feel like I'm being gaslit. I'm pretty disgusted with this level of patient service. I don't know how on their end they can feel okay with a $700 difference. I never would have been okay with that cost. I really thought I'd found an honest dentist.

Dr. Hoffman was able to repair (Permanently!) the damage my dentist has done over the decades and brought me back to life! Literally could barely eat solids before and now I'm chomping on apples all day. You get what you pay for, and your teeth is no place to cheap out! Trust me, do it right the first time and see Dr. Hoffman. I deeply regret not finding him sooner. The technology and the level of service is second to none! Not to mention he's and his staff are some of the warmest, friendliest people around. Well worth at least getting an opinion here. He wopn't make you do things you don't need, but will let you know if you're in trouble and need something done asap. Before any physical examination or proper diagnosis, a staff member came in and quoted me $1,600 for Botox injections. When I pushed back, another person came in to push the same recommendation. At no point had anyone touched or examined my jaw. When the actual specialist finally saw me, he recommended Invisalign as the only real solution at nearly $6,000. This is not standard diagnostic practice for TMJ. Even though Dr. Hoffman said he was 90% sure it would correct my TMJ. Botox and Invisalign are not minor suggestions. Botox is an injectable neurotoxin with real risks including muscle atrophy, asymmetry, difficulty chewing, and unpredictable results. Invisalign is an irreversible commitment that permanently changes your bite. Recommending both within minutes of meeting a patient, without a single hands-on evaluation, felt dangerous and negligent. I sought two independent second opinions. Both providers told me Invisalign was completely unnecessary for my condition. A dentist I recently saw also noted my masseter muscles are very small -- which makes the Botox recommendation even more alarming, as Botox is typically indicated for overdeveloped muscles. People suffering from TMJ are often in pain, vulnerable, and desperate for answers. They deserve an honest and thorough evaluation -- not an immediate $7,600 upsell of unnecessary and potentially harmful procedures. I'm grateful I trusted my gut and walked out.

Apparently, the highly qualified…read moreStaci Sikora, DDS who I was very happy with seeing for the past year or so is no longer seeing patients, which I was only told after a much younger and very inexperienced dentist who introduced herself only as Amy (spelling unknown since she is not one of the dentists on the website, see image from this office's website below) questioned her judgement from my last appointment and recommended invasive work well before it may or may not be necessary. When I questioned her judgment and indicated that I would wait until my next set of x-rays in 6-months to make any decisions, she stormed out saying that she didn't appreciate my attitude. Here is what I don't appreciate: 1. Made to wait 15 minutes for an appointment...which happened today. 2. Not being informed before my appointment with her (even though I received multiple digital reminders of the appointment) that my highly qualified dentist, whose judgement I trust, was no longer seeing patients...which happened today. 3. Having MY judgement about MY dental care being questioned by an inexperienced "professional" who seemed more interested in how many additional services she could sell me on rather than respecting what I believe is best for MY dental care...which happened today. 4. Having a "professional" act like a petulant child...which happened today. I guess it's time for me to find a new dentist, hopefully I will have a better experience than I had today.
