Sketchy equipment. Our company rented 2 scissor lifts and it is the sketchiest equipment I have EVER USED! Loose bolts, controls that dont work, extremely wobbly. I would NOT recommend renting anything here but they are probably the only rental place around. Buyer beware! read more

Sun Belt was good for me. I requested a metal detector and got it as requested. They explained how it worked and I was set to go! Gave 4 stars because after getting home, it did not turn on. Unsure of the problem, but with some coercion it started working again. Friendly staff. I would rent from them again. read more

Called in on a Wednesday, and asked if they had a flatbed trailer I could use to haul ~1000 pounds of 16' lumber with they said yes. I asked them if I'd be able to tow it with a 2016 Toyota 4Runner, and they said yes. They reserved it for me. Called in Thursday morning to get a price because I forgot to ask the night before and they said I didn't have a reservation - Strike one. They setup a another reservation. Pulled in on Friday evening only for them to tell me that they didn't have the trailer they promised me - but they were going to give me an 18' trailer instead - Strike two. (Side note - All the while there was a manager in the middle of the store cussing out a driver at the top of his lungs over the phone) I pay, sign, and they tell me to pull around back and someone would get me hooked up and on my way. I get back there and as soon as I pull up they tell me; "I can't let you leave with this trailer, it's too heavy for your truck" I said, "you're kidding right?" "no sir, this trailer weighs 9,500 pounds." "There's no way in hell this trailer weighs 9500 pounds, that's over twice the weight of my truck." "Sir, I can't let you leave with this trailer on that truck." We proceeded to go back inside and talk about this with the guy that rented the trailer to me and it turned into 10 minutes of me trying to convince them they were wrong, there's no way in hell that thing weighs nearly 5 tons. They were convinced that it weighed 9500 pounds, so they wouldn't let me leave with it - Strike 3. This is the most unprofessional place I have done business with in a long time. This seems like it was a classic double booking and they decided to screw me over to cover their mistake. From the screaming managers in front of customers to the incompetent employees that don't know the first thing about towing, I will never be renting from this place again and I encourage you to steer clear also. read more

Do not do business with this place. I went through the trouble of setting up a rental and pick up time. They were an hour late with delivering the rental equipment. The driver acted like it was my fault and treated me really bad. I then called them the moment they opened the next day to ensure they were picking them up. I was told they would call me to schedule the pick up. I had to call back 45 minutes before they closed just to get told that they would not pick them up until Monday. I am furious and doubt that I'll get reimbursed for any of their errors. Maybe the corporate HQ will give me a better answer than "sorry dude". Absolutely laughable customer service and I HIGHLY recommend that you rent from another place. Hell, rent from Uncle Teddy down the block and at least you'll get treated better. They suck. read more

We've had to rent over 17k in equipment from them over 6 months for our house build and they are helping our dream become a reality. The total lack of customer service is almost beyond description. I ordered a piece of equipment a month before it was needed. I called 4 days before scheduled delivery to confirm and was told all was set up. On the morning of scheduled delivery, at 45 minutes past the delivery time, I called to inquire where they were. I was put on hold for about 20 minutes and "passed" to several people before they finally informed me they didn't have the equipment I had ordered. They told me they would get a replacement (bigger & better) to me later in the day. I called after lunch to follow up and they said it would be late afternoon. I called at 4:30 and they said they were loading it on the truck. At 6:30 when it had not arrived (about 45-50 minute drive for delivery) I called and got the answering service. I asked them to have someone from Sunbelt call me.The general manager called me at 7:00 saying that it would not be delivered until Tuesday morning. I "blew a gasket" and gave him one heck of a cussing.The total lack of communication was unbelievable. The invoice that the driver handed us when he delivered on the following morning had the wrong rates and it showed that it was delivered on the original scheduled date. Buyer beware!
