My husband is a frequent customer at R&R for years, and given our experience today I am writing this review to caution anyone thinking of shopping here. There are other places in town that deserve your hard earned money. The Renton location is not a family owned mom and pop shop where you can support local business. I cannot speak to the staff at the Bellevue store, and North Bend has always been kind to us, but Renton is a disgrace. My husband went in today to purchase a new Stihl saw. He had a question about why there were chips on the chain which appeared to have offended Lorelei, the cashier. It's an $800 saw and a perfectly valid question. In response she verbally assaulted him in a manner that is outrageously unprofessional and very rude. She got so upset she yelled at him, literally, and called him a "tweeker". I'm not sure what may have been going on in her world today to make her so angry, but she insulted a paying customer, a frequent customer, a hardworking man getting ready to go to work. Certainly not a tweeker?! In addition, Bob the manager, who I have always thought a fine man, stood by and allowed the event to take place. My husband walked out without a saw, and in shock. If you are an owner or HR for R&R, please, do something about this. Why would anyone treat someone in such a way? How can that be allowed? What kind of business would allow staff to verbally abuse customers? Truly unbelievable. What an unfortunate experience. read more

Not sure why this place is classified as "party rentals." They rent machinery and tools. This is BY FAR the nicest rental place I've ever been. I rented a Billy Goat field mower to aid in clearing the lower acre of our property. Phone service was prompt and polite without any holds. My equipment was ready when I went to go get it. They honored my Groupon without batting an eye. They showed me how to use the machine. They loaded it in my truck. They didn't give me any weird energy about my being female. All the equipment on the lot looked clean and basically brand new. And they had better rates than the other places I looked at. I will definitely be back! Unfortunately I might have to rent ACTUAL goats instead of the Billy Goat to truly eat through the blackberries and morning glory. read more

We rented a drum sander to sand off the stain from a deck. We were unfamiliar with using one and even which tool would be best. The woman at the front desk who answered the phone (I'm sorry I did not get her name) was so helpful in guiding us which allowed us to complete our deck project successfully. It was a last minute rental on Labor Day and we were so happy for the help. I will rent equipment here again. As a matter of fact we rented a palm sander the next day to finish off the edges. I left my Stihl chainsaw with them because it wasn't working well. Their promised turn around time was 2-3 weeks versus 2-3 months at another shop. So I was curious to see if their technician was any good. I called and talked to the technician Scott and he said that he had 30+ years working on Stihl equipment. I couldn't imagine he hadn't seen everything so I thought safe in giving him the chainsaw to work on. While I was a little dissapointed that they didn't call me before putting a lot of work into it (hence the 4 stars) I can't believe how it is working...and frankly glad they didn't call me because I might have made the decision not to repair it - which would have been a grave mistake. Even though it is 30+ years old it runs like new after Scott fixed it. Hasn't run this good for over 20 years. Thank you Scott. When I picked it up, Scott showed me how the bill kept growing little by little as he dove into it. Frankly the cost was conservative, less than I would have thought, for the parts and labor he put into it. What a GREAT result. RR is my go to place from now in for Stihl repairs and rentals. And no...I am not related to anyone that works there. read more

Super friendly and helpful! I'm not a highly experienced 2 stroke user, but every time I've come in the two gentlemen at the counter are very polite, attentive and helpful. Last time I was in I needed a repair and they were backed up a few weeks, so the taller man recommend I try cleaning out my spark arrestor and BLAM back in action, full power! He also took a good amount of time to track down a special air filter I needed that they didn't have in their front stock. Much appreciated guys! read more

Rented a Kubota tractor/backhoe from them. They delivered on time, tractor was in excellent mechanical condition. Rates looked better than other places in the surrounding area for an equivalent machine. read more

What a great experience. Not only was the service fast and friendly, but DJ spent a ton of time with me giving me lawn recommendations. He was super knowledgeable and everyone from the front desk clerk to the loaders were very cool. My aerator worked great and I will be back soon to rent more tools. read more
