I love the staff, everyone is always so friendly and addresses me by name when I arrive. The facility is always clean & I love how nobody is pushy about buying their lotions. I've heard about heavy sales pressure at other places... I can't stand that! I literally can't imagine using another tanning place. They have a wide selection of beds, their pricing is very reasonable. I have only used the stand up tanning bed. They also offer spray tanning, if you're into that. I like that you can manage your membership online- so convenient! If you're looking to get your tan on before your summer vacay, look no further - Sunchain has something for everyone!

No terms & conditions were shown to me or provided to me in writing. Brianna made me sign something electronically which I shouldn't have done because she didn't tell me what it was. After waiting an hour for my appointment, Brianna then said they couldn't provide the treatment because their equipment wasn't working and she didn't know what to do, so I left stating I wanted a refund. Way too many negatives in my first experience with this place to want to do business with them. Brianna said she would call me back by the end of the day but didn't. When I called her back because I didn't receive a call back from her, she told me the manager would call me back but she said she had no idea when that would happen. Now the store isn't answering my calls. If the issue is resolved, I will update my review to reflect that.

I'm flying out tonight and received an email advertising "Try Any Service for $10," including a spray tan with 3 additives. Perfect timing, so I figured I'd stop at the Tempe location on my way to work. Before going, I specifically checked the fine print in the email AND the website because I wanted to make sure there wasn't a "new clients only" restriction. I didn't see one. When I arrived, the receptionist asked if I had received the promotional email, which I showed her. She checked me in using my ID and then told me that because I was a former client, the promotion didn't apply -- apparently it's only for new clients. I explained that nowhere in the fine print I could find did it say "new clients only." She was nice about it and even called her manager, so my frustration isn't with her. They discussed my account and determined my last visit was August 30th of last year and that I could use the offer once a full year had passed. So apparently I'm eligible in a few weeks...but not today. ‍ I left without getting the spray tan. If a promotion has eligibility restrictions, especially something as significant as "new clients only" or "you haven't visited in a year," that should be clearly stated BEFORE someone makes the trip to the salon. I'll include screenshots of both the email I received and the website promotion because this is exactly why customers need to read the fine print -- although apparently even that isn't always enough. Unsubscribing this time. For good.

I walked into this location wishing to get a spray tan before my upcoming trip to Hawaii. I walked into the building and there was no one at the front. I waited as two employees walked up chatting. I stood there waiting and just kind of looking around. One of the girls goes "umm did you like need something or?" I explained I wanted a spray tan and she asked if I wanted the membership. I had to ask her what the different prices because she didn't just explain things to me from the jump. Then once I said I just wanted one she told me what color to get and had me add all these extras to make sure I look good. I was initially told my spray tan was going to be $25 but when she added these extras that I didn't even know what they were for I ended up with a total of $47. I go in, do the tan with no assistance or tips other than to put a hair net on. As I'm walking out they don't even acknowledge me.. it was just an overall displeasing experience. I now am home not even knowing what color my spray tan is going to look like or how long I should be leaving it on. I guess it's my bad for not asking but you would also think they would at least try to help me since I said it was my first time and I was nervous. Just disappointed I guess.

That's what made me decide to join a membership when I got an email deal in August. On 8/22 I signed up for the $49.95/month wellness membership, thinking it included the same sauna with red light I had enjoyed before. I was clear to "T" when I signed up I wanted what I used in the 4-pack and repeated to her that I was buying the membership with red light sauna and she confirmed with me that I was. Unfortunately, I never got to use it once. My first visit, the sauna wouldn't turn on at all and I was told a manager would call me (no one ever did). When I came back, I found out my membership didn't actually include the red light sauna at all -- and the one that does is $69.95/month, a price that isn't even listed anywhere. I was told "they don't really advertise it" by the Manager. Luckily, the manager was there that night and since I hadn't been able to use it at all, I cancelled that night and was told a refund would take 10-14 days (still waiting to see if it covers both partial August and September). The employees I interacted with were all friendly and tried to help, so I don't blame them. But the memberships are very confusing, and management really needs to train the team so customers know exactly what they're buying. Disappointing, because I was excited after trying the 4-pack, but never got to use the membership I thought I was signing up for.

Two employees assisted me and confirmed that my membership had been canceled. I also had a witness with me during this interaction. I was informed that my membership would remain active only until the end of that month and then terminate. Because of this, I believed the matter was fully resolved. Unfortunately, I recently discovered a flag on my account in March 2026 and realized that my account has continued to be charged despite canceling my membership months ago. I had to cancel originally because the spray tans were causing my skin to break out, not because I wanted to stop coming in. Up until this situation, I truly had nothing negative to say about Palm Beach Tan and had always had positive experiences. I did call the salon and the employee I spoke with was very kind and understanding, and I appreciate her professionalism. However, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated that my membership was apparently never properly canceled despite being told it was. I would appreciate clarification on why my account continued to be charged after my cancellation, as well as assistance in resolving this issue and addressing the charges that occurred after October 2025. She took extra care with details like my palms, feet, hands, and nail beds, which is something I've never experienced anywhere else before.
