They offer a variety of tanning levels including spray at a decent price. I like that they offer a cool towel, and have extras in all the rooms like body spray, towels, etc. one thing I will say is I have tanned in a bed that didn't seem very clean... There were smudges on the inside top of the bed, I let the employee know and she apologized and said she would double check of them to make sure they weren't anymore beds like this. I had a mystic tan here. First, I paid $25, which really wasn't worth it. They offer $15 tans but only for first time customers. Becauae I had been here once, 6 years ago, I wasn't eligible for this deal. I was disappointed at the machine- it only has you turn twice as opposed to others I've visited that have you turn 4x. I guess I'm now spoiled, but as such, I won't be visiting here again. read more

I went to this tanning place on my lunch hour. Chelsie was super helpful and really nice, she answered all of my questions and explained everything in full detail so I wasn't confused. Once I signed up and went over everything with her, she took me over to the room I was going to tan in and explained everything in further deatil, I left sunchain with no questions and was excited about coming back! read more

I can't actually rate this place on their tanning beds. But what I can tell you is their ad on their website is VERY MISLEADING. I walked in on my lunch break today wanting to buy their 24$ unlimited tanning for a month. Well the girl tells me it's not a special but is part of their membership. They wanted 30 dollars down today, then they want to take 24 dollars out of my account THIS SATURDAY, and once a month, every month. If you go on their website and click "specials" it says 24 dollars unlimited for a month. NO WHERE does it say you have to have a membership for that particular special. I even pointed that out to the girl. She just said oh well if you want to do an unlimited package you'll have to pay 55 dollars. Needless to say I was annoyed and frustrated, one that I wasted 15 minutes of my lunch break, and second that I didn't get to start tanning. I might have thought about even doing their monthly package, but I felt dismissed and as if I wasn't being heard. read more

I live down the street so I stopped in to get a month just to get a base before summer. The place is ok, pricing is a little higher than what I am used to paying, I just moved here from the east coast. They do not have stand up beds, so I went with the level 3 tanning... They only have 1 bed for the level 3 so expect to wait. The level 3 bed was broken down twice while I had two month unlimited, I'll try another place after my month is up. I was so disappointed when the location by my work at Town & Country shut down and I could no longer conveniently tan during my lunch break. Finally I began visiting the location nearest to my home and I'm glad I made it in. The girls there are all so friendly! My fiance and I look forward to going in for the great service and appreciated advice. Specifically, Nikki has shared a wealth of knowledge with us about the lotions, how to achieve the best results and advice about how to best handle our tanning needs as our wedding draws nearer. They've done their research! The salon and beds are always clean, never any waiting to get into a bed when I go in the evenings after work. Although I did love the convenience of the other location, I'm happy to have finally made it into the Ahwatukee one. As long as they're around, I'm sure we'll continue to visit. Also, the price for the monthly membership is very affordable and they offer discounts on lotions and my favorite day was the member appreciation day. I really like this Sun Chain. I've never visited any other locations so I can't comment on them. I was a regular member of this salon for nearly 2 years until I moved. The staff is always friendly and helpful - they don't try to upsell too much. If you're a regular, they all learn to know your name and have your account pulled up as soon as they see you come in. The rooms were always clean, wait times are rare except perhaps during the busy spring break season, and where else can you get unlimited monthly tanning for $24?! The beds that they have on this package are the older 20 min beds, but they will definitely do the job and you will get tan. In fact, I got a much better tan here with these bulbs than from much more expensive equipment. They offer mystic tan as well as custom spray tans. You will also be offered a refresher basket to use which contains items such as spray deodorant, hairspray, after tan moisturizer, body spray, etc. And they also provide cold towels from the fridge which is a nice touch to cool you down with the outdoor temps and the heat from the beds. I honestly don't have any negatives about this salon. read more

I've been going here for a few months now and have never had an issue with any of the girls here! They are all very sweet and remember who you are for the most part. They've never tried to "up-sell" me on anything. There's never really a wait for a bed so I can get in and out of there fast.
