Naturally I was very happy to get to have some food from here again on my latest visit to NY. Whilst a bit pricey, the plate of food is very generous! I got a sandwich plate which came with fries and cole slaw. Cole slaw is one of those things that's simple yet so easy to mess up -- I love it at Doug's! In modernizing, they stripped out whatever nostalgia the old space had and put nothing back. Some local artwork, vintage photos, or lake history on those fresh white walls would go a long way.
