Hunting for ice cream shops whenever we're away on a little trip has become a fun little part of our lives' treats and pleasures. The ice cream shop is located on the corner of a little block in Wind Gap. We stayed close by in Bangor, and didn't have a chance to check out the Wind Gap area too much. It's such a vintage, cute little shop; spacious with enough tables and even one booth in the back I believe. There were so many flavors to choose from! I was sold on a small (kids') cup - vanilla bean with peanut butter chunks. The ice cream was incredibly delicious and smooth. I could tell it was freshly made and it was such a good kittle treat for me. My husband followed suit with the size, differing in flavor - he originally wanted Death By Chocolate, but it was out of stock and the staff said they weren't close to making it in the back, unfortunately. He got a cherry flavored scoop and he said it was actually the best ice cream he had ever had. Bold claim, I'll say! I pondered upon the prices briefly afterwards. It was $6 and change for the 2 scoops. Though small, I think the price was very fair and it made me think that in and around NYC, it would probably cost close to double. This is a small critique and very trivial, but I didn't like either the cups or the spoons they use. The cups were styrofoam (no branding of any kind) and the plastic spoons were weirdly..... deep? (not sure if that makes sense, fully; for example, when they gave a sample, it was huge sample on one of those little spoons that are almost flat and very easy to scoop.) The staff were so incredibly nice and friendly, they even gave out Odin a free pup cup! He loved his just had much as we did ours. We'll definitely come back when in the Poconos again! 10/10 recommend! read more

Sundaes on Broadway is an excellent spot for ice cream in the small Pocono mountain town of Wind Gap. It just opened up in 2024, but the great ratings are well deserved as they offer a plethora of ice cream and frozen treat options, sure to satisfy any craving. They also had multiple dairy free and sugar free options, including sorbet, and many flavors for both hard and soft serve ice cream. While I didn't get a chance to try them, the ice cream sandwiches looked amazing. Service from Jason (I believe he's the owner) was extremely friendly as he allowed us to try multiple samples of ice cream, including cookies & cream, orange pineapple, banana, and a couple others I'm forgetting. I went with the toasted coconut ice cream as he advised it was mixed in-house with a generous amount of toasted coconut. It was a great recommendation, as the ice cream was high quality and delicious with more than ample toasted coconut mixed throughout, and probably one of the best coconut ice creams I've had in years. Prices were fairly reasonable and the interiors were bright and welcoming with some pictures colored by kids in the wall, with plenty of indoor seating. I'd definitely be back, and would happily recommend Sundaes on Broadway to others visiting the Pocono Mountains. read more

Cutest ice cream shoppe! Lots of flavors, ice cream was delicious. Owner was very nice, under new ownership as of April this year. They are open 7 days a week although online it says closed Mondays. We went on a Monday so definitely open. Definitely a must try! read more

Popped in after a trip while headed home to Jersey. We were told that the place recently changed ownership. I got the brownie batter ice cream sundae with hot fudge and my fiancé got a classic root beer float with vanilla soft serve. He thought it was good, and mine tasted exactly like brownie batter (a little salty and very chocolate-y). The small sundae was a perfect amount of ice cream for me. The service was excellent; the young boy was kind and charming and efficient in ringing us up. We unfortunately aren't local, but we hope the next time we're visiting up this way that we can stop in again. read more

What can I say, we are there twice a week! The portions are huge, and the prices are more than reasonable. The place is extremely clean.The owner is always very nice and helpful. Just left here five minutes ago. I paid for ice cream for six people for $20. Incredible prices but more importantly great ice cream!

Of all the ice cream shops I have visited this place was my favorite . I bragged to my friends and took many friends there bUT that has ended! I always thought legal tender was the method of payment most excepted, but not there. Last week I took friends there and bought them anything they wanted. I was ready to pay but was informed by the waitress they wouldn't accept $50. Or higher bills . I only have a $50. and a few dollars . The waitress told me to use a credit card, sorry plastic isn't legal tender and I seldom use it. So , here I stand , dripping ice cream and couldn't get the card from my wallet. I think she really was proud to make a 78 year man struggle to pay have cream on his clothes . Since that incident , I have visited all the other ice cream shops with in 10 miles andthey all took a $50. I don't remember seeing sign on the front door telling large bills aren't accepted I have never been so embarrassed in front of my friends as I was that day. I hope no one else has the same experience that I had . I will not go back ,too bad some business men aren't concerned about their patrons and how their waitresses treat them . An old type ice cream shop with a great assortment of hand dipped flavors and all the usual sundaes, floats, and other delicious concoctions. Owners are behind the counter and very friendly. Business on a summer evening was brisk but they kept everyone moving so wait not too long. Comfortable seating inside and some tables behind the building too if you prefer to sit outside. "Sundaes on Broadway" was a great surprise! We periodically travel through WindGap, PA, but seldom stop...that was...until we saw a new place -Sundaes onBroadway! What a pleasant experience! Plenty of flavors (they make their own ice cream), enjoyable surroundings, super service and fair prices. As a person with some degree of lactose intolerance, I was pleased to find my icecream frozen instead of dripping gloppy cream which would later "haunt me." It was, instead, delicious, enjoyable, and only pleasant memories! We'll be back! read more
