I called my friend and asked his impression of Darren and also asked how his window film was holding up 3 years later? He was very happy to recommend Custom Glass Tinting and told me that his film was great and the film was backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty! Bottom line, my friend had nothing but good things to say about Darren! I called Darren and he came out the same week to measure our windows. He provided us with an estimate for our home. First impressions upon meeting him were spot on! He was prompt, professional, friendly, cordial and explained the products he used and showed us the different options of tint based on what we had discussed. We decided on a tint option and Darren scheduled an install the following week. We paid a deposit equaling 1/3rd of the cost after agreeing to the estimate. On install day, Darren arrived promptly, said, "Good Morning," and asked if he could bring in his equipment? Of course we agreed and within two hours, he had removed each window valance and shade, protected the floor beneath the window with a heavy drop cloth and cleaned the interior of each window, installed the window film, and finally reinstalled the shades and valances. To my delight, he had prepared (pre-cut) EACH SECTION of each panel prior to his arrival, rolled and labeled which window pane they were to be applied! No large sheets and waste cuts! In speaking with Darren about what a great expediter of installation this was, Darren shared with me that in doing this he can minimize waste and only charge his customers for the film used, thus saving him overcharging customers! For example, a window that is 32" in width cut from a 36" film would waste 4" that most other window tinting companies would charge the customer! Darren orders different widths of film from his SunTek vendor allowing him to pass the savings on to his customers! I was VERY IMPRESSED with his professionalism, friendly demeanor and his reasonable pricing! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND contacting Darren at Custom Glass Tinting if one is interested in Residential or Commercial Glass Tinting. Custom Glass Tinting is a family owned business in Lakeland and has been doing business by word of mouth for 35 plus years! Check him out! I can't imagine one would be disappointed!

I had my wife's suv tinted here about 5 years ago with nothing but praise about this place. I had recently got my brand new vehicle tinted here with the owner Brian, and it was a nightmare, essentially leaving dissatisfied with no tint, and my glass damaged, minus $750. Brian at Tint Masters, now only carries the Global tint brand, which I believe is an inferior product to the LLumar brand , which I think he perviously carried. I had decided to go with the standard charcoal 30% tint , but Brian the owner pushed me toward their most expensive ceramic tint. He also convinced me to tint the front windshield clear to cut down on the Florida heat. This came to an absurd amount of $750 for a cheaper product. Oh by the way, HE ONLY ACCEPTS CASH. Upon picking up the newly tinted vehicle, I noticed that the windshield was very distorted to look out of, and the side and back windows were a brown color, and not a true charcoal color as advertised. This to me was unacceptable. I contacted Brian and let him know that it made me nauseous after driving due to the haze and distortions on the windshield. I then asked him what my options were, which at this point he replied that he will not refund me, but he will take the tint film off. I then told him that I'm ok taking the tint off, but I would like to have a reasonable partial refund being that he sold me on a product that I felt was down right dangerous to drive with. He did not care in the slightest. He has a bad attitude, and is only courteous to you before he takes your money. I also contacted the Global tint brand to ask them if this was normal looking out of their clear windshield film. The rep confirmed that the film has distortion and will always have a haze to it. How am I going to be able to drive looking out of a distorted windshield? Also that the Global ceramic tint has a ugly brown hue color to it. This is information that was never disclosed to me by Brian, and I feel mislead and ripped off. After I picked up the vehicle in which he removed the tint, I noticed several razor cuts to the front and rear glass. Upon research, it was a sloppy job where he took the razor to the glass of my brand new vehicle during installation. The owner was not the slightest apologetic, and was content handing my keys back over to me while keeping the $750 cash that i paid him. Lakeland Subaru now sends all of their vehicles with tint ordered to Brian at Tint Masters. If you notice, the front windows on current models he tints for them has an ugly green hue to them, like my mother in laws recently purchased outback. He uses the Global standard charcoal film for this. Thankfully She did not get the windshield film as well. This once was a solid place to have your vehicle tinted. Fast forward to today, Brian with his lack of customer service and bad attitude, does not stand behind his product nor care about customer satisfaction or quality. However he does charge a higher non refundable cash price for a cheaper film. Stay Away!

I gave him a deposit for the window film and paid up front for the insulation so he could purchase materials. There was a snag related to his bank issuing a hold on the check I wrote him, causing a small delay, which was fine. He was set to come out July 16. He texted early that morning (July 16) with a family emergency and I spoke to him later on in that day; I do believe this situation did occur as he was very upset on the phone. We stayed in contact over the next week as the family situation continued. On July 22 he messaged that his truck was broken into, and some related personal things occurred after that kept him from coming out. He then made a plan to come out on July 31. On August 8 I messaged him that at this point it seemed circumstances would keep him from doing the job and I requested a refund. He did message the next day that he couldn't do a refund but would be out the next Wednesday or Thursday to do the film. Tuesday Aug 13 he messaged that his truck was not ready and he hoped to borrow one for Friday, but on Friday that also feel through. Later that day he said he had a plan and would "for sure" be out at 9am on Wednesday, August 21. He no showed and despite messages and calls to him, I've not heard from him. While I certainly hope he is ok, at this point I just want to have a refund so I can get these things done. He definitely seemed to know his industry and I liked him, it's just been nearly two months now and the ghosting is the final straw for me.

I liked the pricing and quality of the work. I plan on getting the rest of the house done now since it turned out nicer than I expected. That room is much cooler and the glare is gone. My wife likes the privacy - you can't see inside from the back patio anymore. I would highly recommend Polk Window Films.
