We had them install around front and back a number of years ago. Now two fixtures have stopped working. I texted the son (Todd, his dad, NEVER responded once he had our money) and he has ignored me. It could be the warranty has expired but it I MIGHT have considered paying more if they would respond. But nope. I was also considering lighting a new garden but I'd rather just do it myself with a competitor's product than give these people another $. Thanks for nothing. Editing this because I included some incorrect information so HERE IS THE REST OF THE STORY: I hired them in 2021 (seems longer). My final payment was made 06/30/2021. The lighting was installed as requested and looked good. Later, one or more of the diodes (the actual part that makes the light) stopped working so I called. and called. and called. Finally, a person (Chris) came out and replaced them, and also made some changes the the phone app which actually controls the lights. He gave me his cell # and told me to call him directly if there were any problems in the future since he lived nearby. Fast forward to 11/04/2023, the date I texted Chris again as 3 other fixtures are not working and one does not run all colors. I didn't bother contacting the office since my past experience with their responsiveness was disappointing. Chris didn't answer. I texted Chris again 12/12/2023. Again, no answer. So I left the first part of the review. Soon after I posted Todd called, quite upset. I hung up on him. He then emailed me (I guess he can be quite quick to respond when he chooses to be) and threatened me. BTW, Todd, I think you mean LIBEL, not "liable." So here we are. The company did good work during the actual installation (which is why 2 stars). I just would never do business with the owner again. Oh, so what was the incorrect info?? Our system used Bluetooth to control lights. We were told we could "control them from the comfort of our recliner" inside! Not true. Had to walk around the outside of the house to get them to connect. We were told later our two story brick house was too big and interfered with the signal. We recently learned after purchasing new iPhones that our three year old systems app is no longer available on my new phone. The solution from company is to keep the old phone or replace the lighting system to their new upgrade at my own cost! At almost 75% of the original system cost. Don't waste your time they smooth talk you and super nice to get you to sign the contract. however, once lights are up they are gone. Good luck on getting a hold of them for any type of service/maintenance on the lights. we have reached out several times with no success of restocking the issue. 1 light is out less then a year after put in. The lights on the side is the house never sync together always have difficulty trying to get them all synced up. Do yourself a favor go with another company!! I used Sundown design for my exterior lighting three years ago, I added two more lights. Six months ago, those two new lights went out Tod the owner said I had to pay for new ones. There was no warranty which I did four months later. I still don't have the lights messaging him numerous times for install and finally asked to get my money back. Haven't received my money. Won't return messages. Will take your money ASAP and is not true to his word. There's a lot of of other lighting companies. I suggest you look elsewhere. Very poor customer service!! Per your comments first of all I expect nothing for free I paid you. Secondly yes you installed your original lights in my Next home then I heard you come back and redo them all to brand new ones so you're wrong on that account thirdly I still have not received my money. Our outdoor lighting was installed by Sundown. Later, two of the lights were damaged by a snow plow. We contacted Sundown to replace the 2 lights. The owner Todd Hedman requested we pay him the full $525 to replace the lights before he came out to do the job. We paid it. To date, they have not come out to replace the lights. We have tried many times to contact them by phone calls, emails, and written letters, they have not responded. So basically they have stolen $525 from us. read more

My lights are amazing!!! I needed lighting in my backyard. Todd showed me his system , which is truly unique. His lights actually illuminate and cascade throughout my yard. I have unique trees such as, Tricolor Beech, Seven Sons, Princeton Gold , variations of maples , fruit trees , flowering trees, evergreens and an array of shrubs that bask in the glow of these lights. What a sight to behold!!! Absolutely breathtaking!!! Neighbors have stopped me to inquire about Todds patented lights. My backyard is a winter wonderland. The lights are a warm white. I plan on changing out the front lights which were done by another company . I look forward to using his vivid color lights which provide numerous colors including the classic warm white. Each night I look out my windows and smile. His lights also serve a purpose for me of seeing what is actually in my backyard before I let my small pets out. They are soft, not too bright, and my neighbors enjoy them too. Please try his lights. You will not be disappointed.
