On a day that we had to drop off a vehicle early for service, I found Sunflower Eatery on Yelp. I thought to myself, this will be better than running downtown, since it was raining and we really didn't want to have to search for a parking spot. I was a little disappointed to find that parking (in front of the building) is Very limited. And today, some joker parked longwise in a pull-in parking area. There is normally, probably, room for about 8 vehicles. There is a sign outside the building. You enter the front, and walk to the back of the building. There is a large round counter where you line up & place your order. Paper menus are available at the counter. We got a table with a view out to the green space, which is lovely. There is a water fountain; what a restful scene! There is also outdoor seating, which would be very enjoyable in good weather. We chose the grits bowl with bacon, cheese and a scrambled (the only way you can get it) egg. We were surprised to find that the bowl was well seasoned and tasty; we both ate the whole thing. We also both had a coffee. This is probably a fabulous spot for the businesses located in this park, and it is a comfortable spot for everyone else, especially during off hours. However, you should not be expecting a typical sit-down restaurant experience. Food is served in to-go containers placed on a plastic tray. read more

I met a friend at her office and we grabbed lunch here! I was excited and skeptical to see no reviews, but felt brave with her raving remarks of the food. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were delicious! Two small tacos with nicely grilled shrimp 3 per taco, cabbage slaw, and creamy drizzle on a fluffy flour tortillas. About $7.50 after tax and tip. You can add a drink and side for $3 but this was enough for me. They also had build your own sandwich, salads, breakfast bowls, quesadillas, and more. I was looking for a new place to try for lunch, and decided to check this restaurant out. Located in an industrial park. I could imagine this one be a popular place for those working near it. Everything sounded good but I decided to go with the southwestern rice bowl which consisted of diced chicken, grilled onions, diced tomatoes and peppers over black beans and rice drizzled with chipotle ranch. I'm so glad I found this place! I'm always looking for smaller restaurants, especially with a good breakfast selection. The service was great, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's got a good amount of space to eat in though seems popular for take-out. But it's decorated so cute! And there's comfy seating. I had a bagel breakfast sandwich and was not at all disappointed. Would definitely stop here again if I'm ever trying to get breakfast in the area in the future. read more

I ordered a sandwich off the regular menu, and the food was quite tasty. (The special sounded creative and intriguing, but I wasn't hungry enough to justify the larger portion.) The tomato soup was a solid choice, and the cookie was FABULOUS!! I have had the pleasure for a year now to get to experience the best food for a small establishment my favorite is the chicken tender combo. I have that at least once a week. The desserts are amazing my favorite is the Oatmeal Raisin cookies. But what really brings me in daily is the amazing staff. We have established a truly amazing friendship. I work in the same complex as this wonderful spot! They have great food! I used to drop by daily in the mornings before my lifestyle change (I am now eating much more healthy portions and items). The food here is fresh and they will make things to your personal specifications. The grits are the most wonderful creamy meal. You can add toppings to the grits if you like! You can order online and it will be ready when you arrive. Had I known that they did not have yelp reviews, I would have reviewed them years ago. I just didn't think of it! Very nice owner and staff! This place is in an industrial park, and inside a building that also has a fitness center and maybe a community room. It's very cute and clean, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. This place was a fantastic lunch spot away from bustling crowds! I've heard about Sunflower Eatery for a while, but had not the chance to visit due to their breakfast/lunch hours. After an invigorating shopping run I suggested SE to my husband. In went the address into the GPS and we ended up in a most unlikely place that you'll find this eatery at. Tucked away in a quiet medical business section behind the crazy I-385 and I-85 interchanges. I decided to order their Friday Feature, the Guacamole Burger with Fries and hubby got their regular Angus Burger. Boot 4 chocolate chip cookies to go; toddler enjoyed 3 very much and we saved one for our kindergartner. Burgers were cooked fresh and well put together. Obviously, guacamole is runny so it tends to be naturally messy, but it was quite ok, because this was one delicious burger. Hubster enjoyed his burger as well. The fries were very good, but it is very rare to find a good burger and fries combination from the same establishment; well I finally found one that makes both right. It was a very filling lunch and the place itself is so homely decorated that you can't help but feel instantly relaxed. I believe the owner took our order and he was very friendly and chatted with us for a bit. I was almost sad to leave as I would have loved to pull out a book and plop down on one of the comfy chairs and just read for a few hours. All that's missing is a fireplace.
