    Fantastic spring training.
    Susanne R.

Spring training to be near the Dodgers. Not a lot of options. If you are RVing you will be at the very end of the respite, which is predominantly full time manufactured homes. Well kept park. There are no toilet facilities in the RV park section. Lots of places to walk your dog. You can see abundant wildlife in the canyon. Tons of quail in the morning and early evening. Not a fantastic amenities-filled resort, but they have a nice restaurant, music and a tiki lounge. If Covid calms down and we can get back to Surprise for spring training this is where we will stay. Very centrally locates to ballparks, shops and restaurants.

Oh my god. The trash trucks are horrible. They come with a new trash bin, drop the new bin, pick up the old bin, drop the old bin, pick up the new bin, drop the new bin in the trash area, then pick up the old bin and leave. 1 1/2 hours of the trash truck running, Revving up, banging, revving up, banging. Absolutely no consideration. Twice in 4 days. The old people must take there their trash for something to do. My god, people are dropping off trash from 7:00am until 9:00pm (their bedtime I guess), it never ends. Trash lids banging, cars and golf carts literally lined up all day/ nightlong. Saturday, the trash company" broke the compactor. Hydraulic oil all over. 3 hours! Trash trucks, maintenance trucks, all running, you can't go outside because of the noise. What does the front desk say? "Oh well." This place could care less about the RV's. They care about the mobile home tenants, that's all. Poor water pressure, they put the RV's where the "pet walk" (I.E. dog pee and dog poop is) area. Every person in the mobile home park has 2 things. Trash and pets. I do not recommend for your own sanity and health. Poor customer service and poor RV area.

Staff as nice as pie, and a crazy number of cable channels, but for over $60/night, one would expect a LEVEL pad.

Before writing this review, I need to give some information about us and our trailer, which is…read moresomething Scott and Duke at Paradise RV did not afford us the opportunity to do. We are full-time mobile living in a fully self-contained off-road RV trailer (kimberley kamper). Our camper has no black tank and has a composting toilet. We had to come back to Phoenix for a funeral and to move things to and from our storage unit that is right around the corner from this RV Park. We have a dog, and the temperatures are still in the low 100s, so needless to say, we needed 30 amp electrical hookup to run our AC efficiently. We originally planned to stay nearby at the Sunflower RV Resort (where we stayed in April 2023), but their office was closed for lunch. While waiting, we called Paradise RV Resort to see if they have any open spaces. They did, and they were $200 less for the two weeks we planned to stay. So we decided to go over to check out their facilities. We had already talked to Janet on the phone and told her we had previously stayed at the Sunflower RV Resort but thought we may try their location while in town. We looked around at the amenities and our potential site they were going to assign to us, and it seemed very similar to Sunflower RV park, just a little older. When we returned to the office with the intention of staying there, we were immediately confronted by Duke (in the front office), basically accusing us of trying to sneak in a trailer that they don't accept. He said we couldn't stay there because "we are not self-contained." We said we are the epitome of self-contained and were wondering how he drew that conclusion. He asked if we had a black tank, and we said no, we have a composting toilet but do need grey water hook-ups in addition to the water. He said exactly, "That's why we don't take trailers like yours." He added that he called Sunflower RV Park, and they won't take us either. We asked him if he was calling us a liar about staying there earlier this year, and he stammered around the question. So basically, he not only was calling us a liar, but he was trying to keep us from having an alternative place to stay. We asked to speak to his manager, who ended up being Scott. Turns out Scott had seen our truck and trailer outside when we first arrived and assumed we were a homemade trailer and didn't want us at his facility. Instead of asking us some basic questions or looking at our trailer for himself, he apparently sicked his dog (Duke) on us to get rid of us. Our trailer is an Australian made overland trailer shipped to a dealer in the US before being delivered to US customers. In the end, Scott apologized and kinda handled the situation professionally and invited us to stay. But with the unwelcoming mat that was laid out for us, we chose not to stay at Paradise RV. We subsequently returned to The Sunflower RV Resort, where we knew it was nice. They looked at our trailer and welcomed us back with friendly smiles. We do not recommend anyone to stay or have to deal with Paradise RV Resort, but we do recommend going down the street to the newer RV park, Sunflower RV Resort. I also feel that both Scott and Duke would benefit from some needed customer service training. They desperately need it.

The RV Park is fairly close to the Texas Rangers/Kansas City Royals Surprise Staffing BB Park, like a 5 minute drive. I only used the Ladies Room but not the shower and the bathroom is kept clean and stocked with TP, paper towels and soap. The bathroom is one at a time use, has a shower, sink, toilet, chair, 2 mirrors and a 2 socket outlet with secure locking door. They give you a hard key for access. I never had to wait to get into the bathroom. I peaked in the shower and I guess it would do in a pinch with flip flops if you had to, however, it was clean - just older with a cloth shower curtain. I'm not a full time RV-er like he is and prefer to use the bathroom facilities outside of the RV. He likes the dry camping area for the price which I'm not sure how much it is. There's a fair amount of traffic at busy times on the main road that runs parallel to the RV Park and a train that goes by in the evening and maybe a couple times per day but neither bothered me. Otherwise it's very quiet RV Park. It's VERY dry and desert (dirt) like at the Park but there's gravel to keep the dust down. I added photos of the Ladies Room and the Park including the dry camping area which is basically a dirt alley along the wall with a single row of RVs. The weather was not too hot, only one day was really hot and it's chilly today, otherwise the weather has been very nice. (Full Disclosure: I considered 81°+ hot, lol. I love the cold weather & he loves the hot weather). I was here for 6 days, 2/26/25 to 3/4/25, so it's a good time to come before the heat arrives. We were lucky enough to see the Budweiser Clydesdales horses, wagon and Dalmatian dog yesterday at the BB Park yesterday. The RV Park sits in an older neighborhood but I felt safe. Surprise is a newer side of town with lots of restaurants and nice grocery stores like Fry's. I added a ton of photos. Hope this helps you if deciding to visit.

We have wintered in our RV the last 5 years in Palm Desert at Emerald Desert RV Resort. But thought we needed to check other options and so many people head to AZ. Welp - AZ RV "resorts" are not our cup of tea. But we did drive through others and talked to locals to see if there were other options. All are attached to park model 55 and over communities. We do believe that Pueblo El Mirage is the best of the places to park an RV. The facilities are well taken care of. Property well maintained. People are friendly. Lots of organized activities. Bright fun lights at night. Sites are large. Sounds perfect? For us the lack of real grass, an over abundance of rock is not our personal preference. Maybe if we started here and not in Palm Desert this might have been our "norm". The location is not convenient to anything. A rather desolate location definitely doesn't help. Another knock - the golf course right next door is a poorly maintained muni at best. We played it once - won't play it again. And last but definitely not least - Luke Air Force Base is 4 miles away - you will be singing God Bless America about 40x a day. And don't worry people won't hear you. And ... you do get used to it. All that being said - it's the best the immediate area has to offer

Trips out of town ae made easier with its proximity to the 101, which connects to either I17 or I10 and Grand Avenue down the Street the it's time to head to Vegas for a weekend getaway , lol. All in all the management does it's best to address common issues in the park and some of their programs like the Tuesday night Food Trucks that visited the park all through the summer, monthly outings and breakfast are great. The park has a resident council that puts out a monthly newsletter and calendar so events are easy to participate in. The Park also offers a large Recreation Clubhouse with Library, Pool tables and big screen Tv's for Game Days. Secure Mailboxes and an on site office with free notary are a plus.
