I visited Great Wolf Lodge on 05/04/2026 from 11am to 7:30pm with my whole class for a fun field trip, and it ended up being such a great day. I hadn't been to this specific location before, but I've gone to the Garden Grove one many times. One thing I noticed right away was that this one felt a bit smaller--just a couple fewer slides and a little less space overall--but it didn't take away from the experience. We arrived around 10:45am, and my teacher grabbed our wristbands in about five minutes, which was awesome, especially since it seemed kind of busy. By 11, we had our stuff set down and headed into the indoor water park. The first thing I did was the white group raft slide (fits about 2-5 people), and it was such a fun way to kick off the day. Of course, I had to try the red group raft next too. After that, my friends and I spent a couple hours going between the wave pool and the lazy river, which never got old. By 1pm, we were ready for lunch. I brought my own food, but I couldn't resist getting dessert after--a double scoop of ice cream from the creamery (cookie dough and mint chip). It was honestly amazing and easily one of the best resort ice creams I've had. After lunch, we went back to the slides and lazy river again. Luckily, my mom had signed the permission slip for me to stay an extra six hours--best decision ever. Around 3:30pm, I started exploring more on my own and tried the solo slides. Just like the group ones, there were red and white versions, but flipped in terms of intensity. The white one was definitely more fun, and I loved the small drop right before the end. My absolute favorite, though, was the red group slide. It starts like a normal twisty slide, then slows down before dropping you a few feet and swinging you side to side--it had all of us laughing nonstop, especially when my friend accidentally bounced up in the air. Around 6:15pm, we grabbed dinner. I got two slices of pepperoni pizza, a Pepsi, and a cookie. The pizza was actually better than I expected, and the cookie--an Otis Spunkmeyer--was so good. Definitely something I'd get again. After eating, I relaxed in the hot tub around 6:45pm. It wasn't too hot, which I actually liked because super hot water can make me dizzy. We left at 7:30pm, and honestly, I was surprised how fast the day flew by. I thought I might get bored after a few hours, but I stayed entertained the entire time. My kids have made some amazing memories here. We have been several times in the past few years. There are slides and attractions for all levels of adrenaline-seeker. We enjoy the food too - it is better than you might expect of a water park. The decor of the lodge feels immersive and varies by season, making you truly feel like you're on vacation, even if you're just a half hour from home. If you had asked me before my most recent visit, my rating probably would have been higher. However, something concerning happened this most recent time. A quick Google search confirmed that it seems to happen a lot at all GWL locations. I received my folio via email on the last morning of my stay and it looked fine. A few days later, I checked my credit card statement and saw the same charge that the folio had noted, but also an additional charge for roughly 66 dollars. I called the lodge to question it. I was on hold for 43 minutes and never actually reached anyone. Fortunately, I also had the GWL website open at the same time, and I was able to get through to a chat agent. She informed me that the 66 bucks was due to "unreturned pool towels." The only day we had checked out towels was the first day of our stay, and they had been checked back in; I had scanned my wristband, the machine lit up green, and the employee said I was good to go. Even stranger, the "unreturned pool towels" charge was issued for two days AFTER that, and conveniently enough, was issued after my final folio was sent, so it had not been reflected. This feels like shady practice - not only is the lodge falsely accusing people of stealing towels, but they're doing it in a way that a lot of people probably would not even catch. You would never know if you didn't scrutinize your credit card statement. The chat agent reversed the charge, but the whole thing left a very sour taste in my mouth. It also took me almost an hour to resolve the whole issue, and that's an hour I could have been spending time with my family. They're doing this to a lot of families and it feels like a class action suit waiting to happen. I'm not sure I'm comfortable going back knowing this is how they operate, and that makes me sad because my kids truly adore Great Wolf, but they've managed to lose my trust. read more

This hotel has gone so badly down hill it's actually ridiculous. Almost $400 a night for a room with two beds that doesn't even give you 4 pillows a bed, no iron, no blow dryer or extra pillows stored besides one for the pullout couch which is supposed to sleep 2????? Even a motel 6 can give you an iron, blow dryer and 4 pillows a bed. Also just hopped in bed to notice they are so CHEAP they don't even give you a sheet and then a blanket on top it's literally a sheet that starts thinner at the top then goes thick at the bottom, so if your hot your screwed because you can't just sleep w a regular sheet and if your cold even more screwed because there is no real blanket. They also now make you check your wristband for the # of towels you check out which is so cheap. Today someone took a towel from my chair which I'm sure I'll probably be charged like $20 for a $5 towel but whatever. I've never been to a hotel including again a motel 6 that does this. They expect you to pay over $20 for a lousy NOT EVEN COOKED CHEESE and crappy chicken wings that are still so chewy they aren't even edible and expect people not to complain???? I genuinely wish I could give negative stars. I have been here I'd say at least 5 times before this and this place has never been this bad I'm not sure if they are going broke from ripping people off or what but you are definitely better off going to the Arizona grand if you are in AZ. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Makes me sad to see a lace I've had many good times at before be so awful now. **update** took our stuff down from our room at 10:30 came back up at 10:40 and house keeping was already in the room before check out. Threw away our juices and breakfast. Had to wait 10 minutes for them to find our stuff that they removed from the room. The biggest issue for us was the constant extra charges. Not only was there a $100 deposit required per night, but we also had to pay separately for parking. By the end of our stay, we had well over $100 in taxes and additional fees alone, including taxes on parking and amusements. It felt like absolutely everything came with an extra price tag, despite already paying premium resort prices. Unfortunately, the experience itself didn't justify the cost. Two attractions at the waterpark were shut down for most of the second day of our stay, which was disappointing considering how expensive everything already was. We also witnessed several kids getting injured in the wave pool area, which raised serious concerns about safety and supervision. In addition, many of the lifeguards seemed far more focused on chatting with each other about personal matters than paying close attention to ride cycles and guest safety. Lifeguards are there to protect guests, remain alert, and operate rides safely -- not socialize while attractions are running. Another issue was the lack of rule enforcement throughout the waterpark. We repeatedly saw both adults and children running in areas where running clearly shouldn't be allowed, yet staff rarely stepped in. Attractions like the lazy river also became unenjoyable because so many kids were swimming through it instead of using tubes and following the intended flow of the attraction. It made the experience feel chaotic rather than relaxing. We also chose not to eat at the resort after reading numerous Yelp, Google, and other reviews mentioning the high food prices and lack of healthy, filling, and sustaining meal options. Considering how expensive the resort already was, it was disappointing to feel like dining onsite would just add even more unnecessary costs for mediocre food choices. On top of that, we were woken up at 4 a.m. the first night by what sounded like a loudspeaker blasting tones, and then on checkout day there was a fire drill at 9 a.m., so we couldn't even enjoy the full checkout time until 11 a.m. We did have some fun, but overall the value just wasn't there for us. Honestly, I'd rather spend the money at Disney, where I feel like you get much more for the price. Parking and several of the attractions should absolutely be included at these rates. We did an overnight at Great Wolf Lodge for the first time and it was overall a great experience. I appreciate having the waterpark included the day of check in even before your room is ready. Also love the self check-in kiosk and the wristbands that are your passes for everything. It was really nice not carrying a key card around! It was nice to get a text message when the room was ready too! Don't understand the $20 overnight parking fee but at least it had in out privileges. It was hard to find some seats the first day at the water park but we eventually found some. You can check out towels using your wristband, but don't forget to turn them back in, otherwise you'll incur a $15 fee. I also appreciated that they had complimentary water diapers. My toddler had an absolute blast at the water park. She loved the wave pool and the slides in the toddler area. The room was very nice. It was clean, well maintained, and very spacious. We went out for dinner because the food was prices here are actually very expensive as you'll see in the menus I posted. Food doesn't have to be that expensive. I did add breakfast on when I was making my reservation and it was one of the best breakfast buffets we had. So many options like an omelette bar, breakfast meats, waffle bar, yogurt and fruit, and even some kid friendly options. Really enjoyed breakfast. It starts at 7:30am and you can go back anytime until they close at 11am. There are a lot of add-ons which again, are super expensive. Bowling, mini golf, build a bear. I guess if you're coming from out of town that might be a fun option but we are local and it does not cost $50 to build a bear at the mall. We would bring my toddler back on a day pass because she loves the waterpark. Everything else is just so expensive. read more

Came here for a friend's birthday with a half-day pass. The half-day pass after 4pm was $45 instead of $60 (full day) but after the ridiculous "amenity fee" of $10 and taxes, it still ended up costing $60. On top of that? They ask for you to pay a $20 parking fee on their giant lot which had more than enough spaces. This place is pure greed. It's like an indoor Disney World and great for kids. It's just as expensive as Disney world too. If you are doing a staycation, this place is great as there is plenty of food and things to do inside. Would be great for Arizona summers. For adults? It's too expensive to justify the $60 each for 4 hours half-day pass. Be prepared to spend an arm and a leg for food, drinks, activities, and gifts here. read more

We couldn't believe the pricing for the night, with two days at the water park.... Totally worth the value, and the kids had a blast! Both were asleep by 9:30pm lol. Drinks were on point, rooms are always so clean and spacious, and so many activities for the kiddos. Adults by the bar/ wake pool, kids on the slides all day, dance parties and shows at night.... Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. We love to be able to stay in town but still feel like we took a vacation, without driving hundreds of miles or spending thousands. DO NOT STAY HERE. We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in Phoenix expecting a fun, safe, family experience--and instead had one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. On the morning of April 16, 2026, while we were at the water park, $1,000 in cash was stolen directly out of my father's wallet inside our room. When we returned, the room had already been cleaned, meaning someone had accessed it during that time. We immediately reported this to the front desk and were told management would contact us. They never did. No follow-up. No concern. No accountability. Nothing. Let that sink in: a guest reports a $1,000 theft from inside their room, and the hotel's response is complete silence. What makes this even worse is how much money we spent to be there. This was a 3-day stay, and we even paid for cabanas for two of those days--which are incredibly expensive--because we wanted to enjoy the experience fully. Instead, we were left dealing with theft and zero support from the hotel. This all happened on my mom's birthday, which made the situation even more upsetting. What should have been a special family trip turned into stress and disappointment. And honestly, even outside of the theft, this place does not live up to its price tag: - Beds are uncomfortable - Pillows are cheap and low quality - Carpets are visibly dirty For what this resort charges, the conditions and service are unacceptable. Between the lack of security, zero communication from management, and overall poor quality, this was a complete waste of money. First time here and we had a wonderful time. My 4 year old daughter and 18 month old son absolutely loved it. There really is so much to do that you never have to leave the property. The water park was great-- both kids loved it, lots to do, and my husband and I def appreciated the bar! In addition to the water park, the arcade, the restaurants, the shops, and the numerous activities kept us busy! And I feel like there was still so much more we could have done! While there are options on property for food, there are also so many excellent options very close by. Being in Scottsdale is a great perk of this place-- lots to do and see if you do want to explore beyond GWL. Also of note is the USS Arizona memorial right next to the hotel. It's lit up at night and is a beautiful tribute. Our room was great, very spacious and suited our needs perfectly. It was quiet at night and housekeeping responded quickly to any of our needs. Some of the only cons were that the check in line took a little while and that there was a bit of a BO stench upon exiting the elevator to our floor. Also be aware that they do charge a daily parking fee. Overall though, this place is a well oiled machine! We had so much fun and we definitely plan to return! read more

I am writing this review to warn other families about my recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge, which was nothing short of a nightmare. What should have been a relaxing getaway turned into a series of stressful, unprofessional, and dangerous incidents. Billing Issues and Lack of Accountability From the start, the billing practices were egregious. I was hit with ridiculous, unexplained charges, including fees for towels, and--most shockingly--I was held responsible for charges that belonged to another guest entirely. When I brought this to the attention of management, they failed to rectify the situation properly. Even after acknowledging the errors, they refused to issue a full refund for our first night, despite the blatant inaccuracies in their accounting. Severe Safety Concerns The most terrifying part of our stay occurred on the second night. While I had stepped out to pick up my husband's medication at a nearby pharmacy, the fire alarms went off throughout the building. My daughter was in the shower, and my two-year-old grandchild and six-month-old infant were left alone in the room. The panic caused by the alarm forced my daughter to scramble to get the children out of the room in a state of extreme distress. Because of the chaotic evacuation and the lack of proper staff assistance or guidance during the alarm, my children were terrified. In their rush to escape the building, they ran outside and were nearly struck by a vehicle. It is completely unacceptable that a resort catering to families would have such a disorganized evacuation process that left vulnerable children in harm's way. Final Verdict The combination of dishonest billing practices and a catastrophic failure in safety protocols makes it impossible for me to recommend this resort. A family vacation should not result in financial exploitation and life-threatening situations for young children. I messed up! I failed to check reviews for Great Wolf Lodge, Scottsdale, AZ. Had I done so I would have brought my granddaughter elsewhere--anywhere! After spending half a day in the main concourse/water resort areas I kept asking myself, "How does a shoddy, musty, dark, dingy and unclean facility such as this even EXIST in Scottsdale, AZ? Long lines, few resort staff, dirty water, a Lazy River whose concrete sides are so rough and unfinished that my granddaughter' knees and ankles were abraded. When floating past the water intakes of the Lazy River one may wish to avoid looking too closely at the variety of used Band-Aids and other 'debris' clinging to the grillwork. I wonder how often anyone cleans these intakes? Nasty! The staff are generally disinterested in providing friendly service, the restaurants--if they can be called such--were closing or closed (at almost noon); there was nowhere to feed a hungry child some quality protein, but there were plenty of pricey but low-quality snacks for purchase. We left early. Our excursion to the resort was an utter waste of $180 (with $22+ for parking. Offensive). I would advise folks to skip this resort altogether. It is an unpleasant and unwholesome place to bring a family. We showered at home quite thoroughly, with plenty of soap and clean water! read more

Came to Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale for a family trip and there are certainly some great things, but also real drawbacks to coming here. Pros: you don't technically have to leave the premises, which is honestly a huge win with kids you can use Hilton Honors points to book the stay, which is a nice perk (although you don't earn points on the stay itself) they offer water diapers for the little ones, which makes things easier it's very clearly geared toward families and younger kids there are non water-based activities like story time, yoga, art, dance parties, and character appearances, and the app makes it easy to see the daily schedule the water park itself is clean and well staffed with lifeguards, which gave me some peace of mind check-in activities and the overall "camp" vibe are really exciting for kids right from the start make sure to grab the wolf ears at check-in, and ask about the photo op since the email about it may not actually come through Cons: food is not very healthy and also pretty overpriced for what it is kids get overstimulated quickly between the noise, crowds, and constant activity the water park doesn't open until 10 am and closes at 8 pm, which feels like a missed opportunity. earlier hours would make a big difference long lines for things like slides, food, and check-in during peak times rooms are very dark and they do not provide a night light the bunk beds look cute but the mattresses are thin and uncomfortable pillows were lumpy and not great for sleeping they really nickel and dime you for everything. ropes course, bowling, arcade, MagiQuest, etc all cost extra and it adds up fast the passes are basically necessary if your kids want to do multiple activities. we did the pup pass which included a build a bear (very basic, no clothing) and a few arcade games there are people on site trying to sell Hilton Grand Vacations packages, which felt intrusive and honestly a bit annoying during a family trip Bottom line: My daughter was so happy and still talks about her memories from this trip, which ultimately made it worth it. That said, it's not the most relaxing or cost-effective experience for parents. If I were to go again, I would bring my own food or do delivery, bring my own pillows, and skip the bunk beds even though they're cute. I'd also plan ahead for activities and probably just commit to a pass upfront to avoid the constant add-ons. The stay was great the hospitality excellent running a resort I understand the challenges A couple of suggestions please get a plate warmer for breakfast because when I got my breakfast, got back to the table. Everything was cold cause plates were cold.. The food in the main restaurant was not great. We started with the tomato soup, which was excellent.. then we had a salad that was just so so then we had the Bolognese, which I don't know what it was, but that was just awful. Then we had mac & cheese with a pulled pork another one that was just not great so the food, the culinary piece of this business really needs some work. The pizza was good the french fries by the pool or cold. Who did Beverage just need some work at this particular venue otherwise it was great Pools hospitality. Went on a howling adventure for my son's 10th birthday. It was just the two of us and we had a pretty good time over 3 days. They charge you for every single thing though! Wow! A lot of kids had banners on the room door for birthdays. I had put in the reservation we were celebrating a birthday, but we didn't get a banner so bummer. Parking is $15 per night. They have an AI conceiege so you can text your plate to them and they will track your LP number. Parking is not covered and it was quite busy on the weekend. Check in was easy with self check in. We had also purchased wolf passes which is extra for activities and such and didn't get the passes on check in with the self check in, which was a pain. We had to go back after to the front desk and stand in line anyway to get the passes. The room was clean and large. My son enjoyed the bunk bed and the TV inside the room. There was a refrigerator, plenty of towels and the bed was comfortable. Would have been perfect with a microwave. They allow you to order food on their app ahead of time so you can chill in your room or do activities while you wait for food, which is nice. If you purchase drinks you have to scan your cup before it will even pour, so don't expect to try to get a free refill. For the prices you would think they could give you a refill or at least some free soda or water in the room. The arcade was expensive, but clean and all the games worked well. They had attendants when needed and good prizes although be prepared for spend some money if you want to obtain said prizes. We completed the quest in about 4 hours over 2 days and it was fun, but omg the walking back and forth. My ankles are paying for it. It was fun, but with the technology now a days I feel like they can ramp this up a bit. The quest was my son's favorite part of the park, but he was a bit disappointed once it was done as he felt it was a bit boring and too easy. The water park was just ok. We only spent a few hours there. The wave pool was super crowded and the floating wave river was short. I think it's good for younger kids, maybe 5-7. read more

We took our 3 granddaughters, aged 4, 2, and 1. They all had a great time! They loved the water park! We got a regular room and they loved that, too. The breakfast buffet in the morning is fantastic, lots of choices, including non-pork meats. There's a waffle station where you can make your own fresh waffles and an omelet station! All the employees we interacted with were very friendly, and it's fun to interact with other guests because everyone is so happy to be there. read more

Ok so I just left the Great wolf lodge in Scottsdale and thought I would give it a proper review. 10/10 recommend this resort if you have a family with kids. We are local to this location so we spur of the moment decided to go for the night. The price was great for our one night stay with 2 days in the water park. Cheaper than any other water park location for 4 people plus it had night stay at their hotel. I love the fact that you can use your wristband to pay for food/drinks, to get in/out of your room and in/out of the parking lot. The water pressure in the shower was GREAT and the water stayed hot the entire time. There was a blow dryer so that's a plus. A ton of activities throughout the day for the kids. And the room was clean as always. We will be back again the beginning of June for summer vacation! read more

We had a blast at Great Wolf Lodge. I reserved about a month ago and used a promotion to save a little money. Four ladies, me, mom, sister and great niece who is two, went on this trip. Check in was via kiosk but I had to go to the counter and complete it and get my wristbands. Great thing is that for every room, you get the number of passes that the room accommodates. We reserved a patio room, 1107, and it was very spacious. It was an accessible room with a tub and shower. We spent $150 per night which was a steal. We had two queen beds and one pull out bed. The AC worked very well and the water was hot. The patio was open, no gates or anything which was a bummer but it was too chilly to sit out anyway. The water park was open 10am to 8pm daily and had a wide variety of slides, wave pool, kid activities and floats and towels were provided. The water was nice and warm as it was indoors. I didn't do any big rides but had my niece on any and every ride that her two year old self wanted to do. Plenty of seats and tons of food options throughout the park. Food: candy shop, ice cream, donut shop, pizza, sit down restaurant and they had a couple of bars that sold alcohol. They had an ice maker and microwave in the common area and the room had a mini refrigerator. They also had a ropes course, build a bear, bowling alley, magic quest and an arcade. If you download the app, you can see park times and activities. The resort is cashless. You can bring your own drinks and snacks or get them there. If you have a car, plenty of restaurants and stores within 3-5 miles- Walmart, Target, Albertsons, coffee shops. Please note: the Walmart and target are on tribal land so they do not sell wine or beer. But Albertsons does and it's about 4 miles away. read more

We had a one night staycation here a couple weeks ago. The beds are not very comfortable and the lighting situation in the room is very odd. One master light that controls the rest of the room as long as it stayed on. So you have to go around and flip each individual light off which I didn't realize until the morning we were leaving. The food isn't great and i was beyond upset Ben and Jerry's is no longer there. Used to be the only "scoop shop" you could purchase from in AZ and now that's gone. Food in the water park is average at best. The water park is great for bigger kids. My kids being as wild as they are it's very easy for them to sneak out or run off. My son had a great time on the ropes/obstacle course and def did not need his dads help what so ever. So the height requirement is a little silly when the purpose is for the adult to assist the kids not the other way around. Even though my son was leaving my husband in the dust to need help from the workers to make it through. And then the rock climbing wall was pretty funny since my son climbed in his crocs. Def needs his own set of rock climbing shoes if we came back. Overall our stay was fine def not luxury stay but decent. read more

We got our room on sale for $96, for two adults and 2 free kids. Love the room! Love the decor and theme in the lodge. Great value since you can come at 10am the day you check in to use the Waterpark and the day after check out you can clear your room by 11am and enjoy the park. Loved how they texted us early to let us know our room was ready. You can add late checkout for a fee. Bring your own pillows if you don't like super fluffy pillows. You do pay $20 extra to park overnight. The burger at the Wolf Lodge wasn't anything amazing. We did order Barros for dinner and eat it at the dining area which was nice they allow that. Didn't get the ice cream during my stay but it looked amazing. Our family had an awesome time on our first visit and not last! Wasn't over crowded at all our boys age 10 was able to run around the park on their own we were able to see them easily. The life guards where very vigilant and stayed on there feet watching the kids. Loved the bracelets giving you access to parking gates and room doors. I felt very safe here. My wife, daughter, and I came here on a family vacation last month, and we cant say enough good things about this place. We stayed for about 5 days and 4 nights - the room was comfortable and spacious, filled with enough modern amenities and comfortable items for our stay. The lodge itself- activities, food offerings, water park, etc. was everything we hoped for and more - the overall vacation was a bit pricey, but what else did I expect for virtually an all inclusive resort where you didn't have to leave to enjoy nearly everything you would want out of a vacation. We had a blast and created countless new memories together, and we will be coming back before too long. Would unequivocally recommend!! read more

I decided for Father's Day I would book a staycation here. The rate the night before was over $450. Sunday was less by $200. We arrived around 2:30pm and by the time I was checked in, it was nearly 3pm. The aesthetics looked nice and there was plenty of things to do for my little guy, but the upgraded things, like the mini golf and mining stuff, etc. were crazy expensive so we opted out. My nearly 5 year old son was excited to run around and it was awesome to see this, but it was so packed there was no where to sit for a while. After some time walking around, Grandma was able to find 2 seats for our family of 4. Until then, I had to chase our son around while Grandma had to carry/hold onto our belongings. She didn't leave that spot for 2 hrs. I went down a few tube rides with my son and that was pretty fast from start to finish, but the trek up the stairs I smelled pee a lot. My eyes and airways were burning from the massive amounts of chlorine too so I had to go outside by 4:30 just to breathe and for my eyes to stop burning. Right before then I saw a mom inside the waterpark pull her toddlers swim diaper that clearly showed poop pouring out the sides and up her back. At 5 pm we were starving and went to the restaurant inside and our food was pretty meh. Nachos were bland and cold and so was my son's fries. Dad didn't even finish his wings. Grandma's salad was decent. Grandma took off and went to our home to watch our pets, as Dad, son, and myself were staying overnight. Around 8:45pm while getting ready for bed, I was about to shower, my son was showered and in his PJs laying down for the night, when someone decided to pull the fire alarm as a prank so we all had to evacuate. TBH, no one had any sense of urgency while evacuating, and being on the 6th floor, I had my concerns if this was a real fire. We stood on stairs for a while and it took, IMO, too long for us to evacuate safely. In those few mins outside, I watched frustrated and intoxicated parents arguing in the parking lot and children were running towards oncoming traffic next to the parking lot too. That was the last straw for me and I decided to pack up our things and have Grandma come and get us. Around 9 pm they texted us it was safe to go back inside. I took the stairs back up to the 6th floor because the lines for the elevator were ridiculous. My son and I were also the only ones taking the stairs back up. Coming back down, taking the elevator, guests were arguing about waiting in lines and that some were cutting in lines. It felt a bit hostile. Dad checked us out and we were gone by 9:30pm. Altogether we spent over $550 for an expensive and lackluster day. I will warn anyone considering this place to stay away. It's not worth what we spent and I will never be going back. The staff did their jobs well, and I can appreciate that, but it's unfortunate that many of the guests were terrible and unruly. read more

My family last minute decided to spend a few days right before Christmas and we are so glad we went. Our kiddos (4 and almost 3) loved the waterpark. I loved that we were able to enjoy the waterpark before check in which was at 4pm. You get a text when the room is ready and with the wristband, you go straight to your room. It's convenient & we'll definitely come again when there's a deal. The food was surprisingly good there. The kids enjoyed the pizza but my personal favorite were the carne asada fries. read more

Update 2025 - they now charge $20 per vehicle to park in their lot (for overnight guests). Unpleasant surprise. Are we supposed to Uber over here or get a ride? They've also removed most of the comfy chair seating from the lobby, so parents don't have many seating options to watch their kids during storytime or dance party activities in the lobby. Our kids love this place overall, and the water park is lots of fun for them. Seems like it keeps becoming more and more of a money grab though. read more

My boys (age 3 and 2) absolutely loved it! We were pleasantly surprised when our room was ready early and they loved the free wolf ears. I felt very safe with all the life guards, bag checks, and wristbands. We enjoyed a few of the free activities, but spent most of our time in the arcade (way overpriced) and waterpark. All of the food was bleh and echo other reviews that Dunkin' was a mess in the morning. Rooms are spacious and designed well, but a little dated. We had our grandchildren in town for a week and they love the great Wolf Lodge in Ohio so we wanted to surprise them with two nights here so that they could get some swim time in. The room rate was actually pretty reasonable at around $325 per night for The room with a queen bed and a separate area with bunkbeds called Wiley's den. There is a decent amount of storage space as well as a long counter for all of your swimming items and things. The actual hanging space is quite small. There is also no Safe in the room, which was a little surprising. there are safes in the pool area downstairs that are $12 a day. It appears, but it was a little inefficient, not to have a safe in the room itself. The bed was a OK comfort but I will say the pillows were lumpy. We were able to turn the fan on high speed at night in order to block out any of the noise from the rooms next-door, as well as the blackout curtains were very effective. The room itself is a bit beat up and dated, i'm assuming there is an refresh coming at some point. Note that the pool areas do not open until 10 AM. Many of the older kids activities like the rope course do not open until 11. There is a Dunkin' Donuts on site and you can order through the mobile app to run down and pick it up, which was convenient. If you went with just a simple egg and cheese sandwich, it was $2.99, which is super reasonable for a resort. Some of the other items had a bit of a surcharge to it like egg white bites which were $5.29 for two it is nice that you have a refrigerator and when you have people who have dietary restrictions, it is nice that you can bring your own food, you are just supposed to consume it in your room. There is a microwave an icemaker on each floor as well, which was super convenient when you have super picky kids. The outdoor waterpark was closed one day while we were there because it was quite chilly so we really were only able to enjoy the indoor waterpark. The waterpark opens at 10 AM and there is a bit of a mad dash to secure seats for the day. You do have to check towels in and out or there is a $15 charge if they're not returned. People seem to be pretty respectful once you placed your items on a chair for the couple of hours that we were swimming. The indoor area is extremely loud, so if you have noise, sensitivity issues, definitely do not recommend. It is an extremely popular area of the hotel And you will find your self surrounded at all times. There is a family waterslide, there are dual waterslides, as well as many things that you can do without a float on your own. They do measure all children, and they are assigned a wristband color that identifies what rides they can ride. I did note that the staff in the waterpark were Very attentive to who was able to do which rides. From a safety perspective, the staff lifeguards were on constant rotation, and they were watching everyone carefully and ensuring that everyone followed the rules. You can rent cabanas, but we were not impressed with the pricing at all. For comparison, we rented a cabana at Biltmore pool, they had a special for $300 for the day, I believe their normal rate is $600 but these included a bathroom and a kitchen and TV and air conditioning, compared to Great Wolf wanted $300 for a tent cabana that looked like it had a couch and a fridge. Pretty simplistic And most of them were vacant when we were there. I think the only benefit is that you have seating that is dedicated. There are a lot of food options on site, but as I said, we have dietary restrictions and pricing on some of the adult dinner menu items seemed very high, so the two nights we were there we ended up picking up food and bringing it back to our room. It is helpful to know that there are many restaurants in the area and DoorDash and Uber eats were quite busy in the lobby, so you have a lot of options to ensure food is within Your dietary restrictions as well as pricing. The upsell is real here, and even getting to the waterpark you must pass several establishments that all cost extra. We even had someone stop us to try to sell us some popcorn bucket that we had no intention of purchasing, lol. We had pre-purchased what is called a pup pass at around $45 per child that gave us a build a bear (no clothes), an ice cream scoop, a 12 ounce cup of candy from the candy store and a $10 credit to the arcade. I was mostly disappointed by the arcade as I saw very few games and it was all claw machines that even when we had something centered perfectly, wouldn't pick the item up. I miss the good old days of an arcade actually having games that you play for time versus all of the crazy prizes and tickets, but that's just me! We did pay an additional $16 for our older granddaughter to do the ropes course on the last day. I know all hotels are doing this right now, but it seemed kind of crazy to have to pay $15 a night for parking. read more

I have been here twice now with my 2 kids and husband. Both times have been really great experiences. My kids absolutely love coming here. There is definitely something for kids of all ages. The Waterpark is warm inside. Which I appreciate when it is cold outside. In the summer, it is still refreshing and not bad at all. The bathrooms are clean and someone is always coming through and trying to mop up all of the water. There are a lot of activities outside of the water park that you can do as well, but they cost extra. Such as rock climbing, mini golf, an overhead obstacle course, and build a bear. The biggest problem with this place is how expensive everything is. The food and drinks are ridiculous. They do tell you that no outside food or drinks are allowed but we always bring our water bottles. They do have a good selection of food and you can order ahead through their app which is always nice. We have stayed overnight 2 separate times and both times were ok. The first time we did a room with 2 queen beds. It was clean and no complaints. The second time we got the room with bunkbeds for the kids. They loved that. The problem was that the air conditioning had a hard time reaching into the room and they were hot. I am sure we will continue going back and enjoying the water park the most. Stayed at great wolf lodge from 05/20- 05/21 and while it was fun It was expensive! Just to find out that parking was not included was ridiculous. Also there was some type of alarm that went off early this morning and we were forced to wake up! Could not sleep in even if we wanted to! Then I returned my 3 towels only to be told that I checked out 5 towels!? No way! Luckily the sweet young lady at the counter believed me! Or that would have been yet ANOTHER charge! We had breakfast this morning and it was pretty good but definitely not worth the $60 price tag! We will go grab breakfast somewhere else next time. There's not enough supervision at the pools or slides! Kids were trying to bully other kids! Lifeguards were not intervening because there's just not enough of them in my opinion. EVERYTHING is ridiculously priced and I mean EVERYTHING! The cheapest thing there was dunkin! But ordering from the kiosk was kind of complicated and annoying! So I just said forget it!!!! I'm happy I packed snacks for my kiddos because I refused to pay double the price for candy and snacks. Would I come back? My kids loved it! Not many options here in the valley! We usually go to the drury hotel with the indoor pool and FREE breakfast and now I see why! I might return in the future but if I don't I won't lose any sleep like I did this morning with that damn alarm lol read more

Shower had a big black hair on the wall and our sheets had a big black scuff stain on them, but the room was decent. We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Wolf and highly recommend visiting. That being said, our stay 2 weeks ago (in mid October) was pretty mellow; I don't believe it was near peak season, so our room and included access to the water park was cheaper than I had seen in a very long time. We stayed in the Wolf Den Suite, which included a nook with a bunk bed and small TV. Our daughter absolutely loved having her own room (not enclosed, but close enough!) and access to her own TV. She slept on the top bunk the first night and switched to the bottom the second night. The suite included a mini fridge, which we took full advantage of. We brought our own drinks, beer and wine and they all fit in the fridge. It was nice to do some pre-partying before heading to the water park.....and then sneaking back to the room for some extra partying and returning to the park! There were plenty of other kids activities to participate in, outside of the water park, but the park is the main attraction and we were not disappointed. The 2 oversized slides that used the 5 person inner tubes were our favorites. Our daughter loved the wave pool and the kids area that included 3 shorter, but fun slides. It wasn't too crowded, so we always found seats to leave our bags, but the reclining chairs were always taken. We ate at the breakfast buffet one morning and it was good, with a decent amount of options. We ate at Barnwood our last night, which reminded me of Chili's and had above average food. The 3 meat sampler platter I ordered was pretty tasty and the Cheetos dipped corn on the cobb was delicious. Check in using the kiosk was easy and we were allowed to check in early at 2PM on our arrival day. The staff was always friendly and polite and our rooms and the common areas were all very clean. We hope to be back again next year. *Tip 1* Bring your own beer/booze for your room. Nothing like pre partying on a budget before you hit the water park! **Tip 2** Food is expensive on property. Barnwood is worth eating at for dinner, but you can always drive or walk to the restaurants off of Talking Stick Way. There's a McDonalds, Arby's and Taco Bell all within the same area. ***Tip 3*** The crowds thinned out around 7PM and there are virtually no lines to get on slides until the park closes at 8PM read more

Okay so here's my honest opinion, one I think it sucks that we had to all wake up and evacuate outside the hotel for almost an hour at like 1am because of a smoker in the stairwell, took us another two hours to fall back asleep with the kids after, than get denied a simple request to push our check out time a little later in the day so my partner and kids could enjoy they're sleep a little more on the vacation. Now, let's talk about the swim area and the period blood (let's hope) my daughter stepped in on our way up the slide, when I told the life guards both boys laughed and then they called a female life guard on duty over to deal with the mess, then never addressed my daughter stepping on it or offer to help clean it up in a sanitizing like way at all. The sprinkler pipe on the middle slide is rusted and cracked and the big slide up top is leaking from missing bolts. I spent a lot to make my wife's first vacation in years nice and make the kids happy, I even went all out on Magiquest, Paw and Pup passes and build a bear. Over all it was both gross due to the seemingly lack of concern over the blood and disappointing because we wanted to at least rest enough to experience the day without rush of check out before getting to experience the rest of the day. The location was nice enough I suppose, everything is over priced even for it being Scottsdale tbh. It's not Disneyland. Food is terrible, literally nothing here is real food wise and the pool area is gross in places, again blood on my daughter's foot and little concern at all. Rooms are okay, fun but nothing special. I dunno I think I spent enough to at least be treated with some basic service. All I know is the guys at the Magiquest were the highlight of the trip service wise. read more
