That was my favorite aside from the little area where we could write our own tarot cards. I loved that idea so much. They apparently pick one a day to display. I think this really invites the community of people who come through to place a piece of their essence here and share in the kindred spirits I definitely feel. Parking is street side; I got an early appointment and when I walked out after, it was already packed. She comes on downstairs to the street to let you in! :) It's been years since I had an energy healing session and with all the life transitions I have had and work that I do, I am a believer that energy & how it follows intention is very real. The shank broke on 5/11/2026, and I took it back on 5/12/2026. The lady who waited on me made a loud production about their one-year warranty and how the damage to my ring was outside of the year. It was 3 weeks outside of the warranty. It was unprofessional behavior and there were other people in the business who could hear her admonish me. She said she would speak to the owner and get back to me. I received a text message on 5/13/2026, stating that I could pay $40 for the repair. I picked up my ring and took it to another jewelry store who looked the ring over to give me an estimate. Attached is the picture I took when they explained that the work that had been done was faulty. There are bubbles in the shank and you can see the lines where the metal was added to upsize the ring. So much for over 30 years' experience in the business. I would expect this type of customer experience with a corporate owned business where profit is the goal over everything else, not from a "locally owned business that advertises that you can trust your precious family heirlooms with them." Update/Response: The ring was not bent nor had it been sized before. I hardly wear this ring, and I never wear it for work, around the house or in the garden. I received this from a grandparent, and it was a size 4 or 5. Fircrest is the only jeweler that I have had size this ring, and that was in April of last year. It broke at the seam of the metal that was used to upsize the ring to a size 8.5. The jeweler that looked over the ring was not impressed with the work and there was no discussion about the ring being bent or sized multiple times.

Thankfully, I decided to bring it to Seattle Fine Jewelry for a second opinion. The owner, Ramir, his son Jordan, and their staff member Kaitlyn were absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in, they were warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and completely transparent about the repair process. Not only were they able to fix my watch, but the turnaround time was surprisingly quick. I also had my favorite diamond ring cleaned ("The Manicure" treatment) and wow, the results were remarkable. It came back incredibly sparkly and shiny, like it had been brought back to life. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere. bring gold here. don't bring silver or pearls. i brought a few items for analysis. first, a pearl…read morehad been very poorly set at another jeweler, leaving epoxy on the pearl and setting and the pearl was off center. the ken's jeweler associate said it was the "best way that the prior jeweler had thought it should go" and said i should just live with it. that was my first sign not to bring pearls here. second, they say they can clean jewelry. i brought an abalone silver ring and asked for cleaning. she said why don't you just use a cleaning cloth and did a light hand polish and handed it back. so i didn't request any further cleaning services. they don't have on-site silver smithing. they use the same bench smith as every other jeweler in Tacoma, which has associated higher prices for send out and they cant do a consult directly as a result. so you can't plan repairs or new work in silver with the jewelers doing the work or even get a quote on site. they might be ok for gold but for silver or pearls, don't go. they don't have any personal knowledge.
