In case my pictures are not enough proof, I have a HUGE head. Like, the size that means I should never breed, because clearly evolution or God is sending me a message so that I know not to have children, because no one would ever be cruel enough to inflict birthing a child with a head like mine on another person. This makes Sunglass shopping a huge pain in the butt, as most companies don't make sunglasses large enough for people with heads larger than a mini cooper. I have always dreamed of owning Ray Bans. Clearly I am not aiming high enough in life, since that was like my biggest dream ever, but that is an issue to be discussed another time (possibly in a review of me seeing a counselor to analyze why I lack real ambitions). Anyway, I had Ray Bans when I was younger, and seeing as I wore them before they were cool, like any true hipster in Ray Bans would, I was crushed when they broke, and my head got huge and I could not get new ones for me and my melon head. Jump to Christmas, 2013, when my loving mother tried to make my dreams of Ray Ban owning come true once again. Unfortunately, she underestimated the giant head she pushed out (that seems like someone one wouldn't forget, but who knows) and the glasses did not fit. Enough is enough, so I began hunting all over the great Contra Costa valley for Ray Bans to fit my head, when, in a moment of pure luck, I found a very helpful sales associate at the Sunglass Hut. Who could have known what a fateful meeting that would be? She showed me other brands that were similar in style, but would fit a noggin as large as my own. Unfortunately, I do not have the dollar bills to drop on Versace or the other brands she showed me, stylish though they were, and I am still partial to my hipster Ray Bans. She then told me, when I expressed my brand loyalty and desire to be one of the "cool kids" that RayBans actually can be modified, and that they had a machine that can take the hook of the back of the arms, allowing them to reach the many miles back from me face to behind my ears. She then perfectly molded the most glorious pair of sunglasses ever to grace the face of the earth, selling them to me all while smiling and being friendly, even with a headache. The customer service, the chit chat, those would earn four stars. The fifth star really comes from the fact that this Sunglass Hut makes dreams come true. My dream. Thank you Sunglass Hut. read more

My wifey and I walked in. No greeting. Started looking at different sunglasses, we even asked each other what type of new style we both were looking to get, since we are both due for a new pair. I'm just a Ray Ban / Oakley kind of guy. My wifey likes the Gucci and higher brands. 5 mins in the store and not a word was spoken to us. Not a hello, no can I help you? The two gentleman there were at the counter, one was doing something with the register the other adjusting some glasses it looked like. There was no one else in the store but us four. I looked at my wifey and said, " Let's Go " because I sure wasn't going to initiate the first acknowledgement of us being in there. We were the consumers, not the employees. As I walked out, I said towards the two guys at the counter in my most sarcastic voice...., "Thanks for LETTING US browse..." One looked up and gave a half ass nod. WTF. read more

Cannot express how pleased I am with the service provided by the Store Manager Sally today, on a Saturday 20 minutes before they closed. Sally helped me through an exchange and made the process extremely easy. On top of that she was able to provide the customer service number for Luxotic in case I wanted the lenses replaced on an old pair and even changed the screws and cleaned the lenses on that old pair I bought back in early 2015. It's always remarkable to receive this level of customer service, but to get it on a Saturday from the store manager prior to closing, after a long day of retail, truly put a smile on my face. Sally is a true role model for her employees and I will undoubtedly do the rest of my sunglass purchases through this location! read more

My wife and I needed to pick up a pair of sunglasses before we drove down to Half Moon Bay. It was Valentines Day and we had to get to Half Moon Bay early to beat the traffic. We stopped at this location but didn't realize the store didn't open for a half hour. Luckily for us the manager was just getting there and she let us in. Even though they were not open a sales associate started helping us right away. He picked out the perfect pair first try, and even after looking at a couple other pairs we went with his first choice. We ended up spending over three hundred dollars but the VIP treatment made it feel worth the price. Great customer service and great selection. read more

One thing I cannot stand are overbearing people. I get a quick greet but damn...leave me alone until I need the help! If you walk into a sunglass store, you're there to see what looks good and try them on. If I knew what I was looking for, I'd be on the internet ordering it at half the price. Great customer service. I bought a pair as a gift for my wife and they let her pick out a new pair that she liked better. It was nice to be greeted immediately upon entering in both times and the selection was what I would expect in a specialty retailer. read more

Will not be shopping here. Ever. After trying on several pairs and finding nothing, I was then tracked down in a different department store and accused of taking a pair of sunglasses. You better pay attention to your over-priced, underwhelming merchandise and be absolutely sure you have actual proof before you go accusing someone of stealing. Ridiculous. read more

The service at this Sunglass Hut is atrocious, and so are their sales people. A sales woman named Valerie sold me a $375 pair of Persol sunglasses. The only pair left were the shelf model. I usually don't settle for the shelf model, but I've been eyeing these pair for a few months. She said if I had any problems, that I can bring them back and explained the return/exchange policy. No less than 2 weeks later the frames for theses glasses bent, and not out of negligence because I treat my things with great care. The defect in my frames lie in the bridge of the frames which did not flex correctly. So I brought them back in, Sally Raty blatantly blamed me for breaking them without giving them a proper look over. DO NOT BUY SUNGLASSES FROM THIS STORE OR THESE PEOPLE. Learn from my lesson that they will rip you off, and not honor their word nor their policy as stated on the receipt. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. My sister and I just came back from that store in Walnut Creek. The lady named Sally that was working treated us horrible!! She followed us around wiping down every pair of glasses that we touched as if we had some sort of disease. Just maybe that's their policy to wipe down the item after being touched which is fine but it felt odd and was rude that she kept doing that. . But when she grabbed the 400 dollar pair of glasses that I was thinking of purchasing out of my hand and said "I'll put them away because they are 400 dollars and I don't want them being trashed!" I was ready to leave! How insulting!!!Also she kept telling my sister and I that we should buy our glasses at the outlet in Livermore instead. She said she wasn't suppose to tell us that, but she wanted to anyways. She was the rudest retail worker I have ever come across. I work in a hospital and make pretty good money. Probably more than she makes easily. But she treated us like we were poor and not good enough to shop there. I will spread the word to everybody I know and work with about my experience at the sunglasses hut in Walnut Creek. Sally needs to go. Horrible customer service skills!!! Update; Today Miss Sally called me to apologize. I had called the management the day it happened. So the management made her call me I assume. She didn't seem very sincere at all. She seemed annoyed that she had to call me. She said there has been lots of theft going on and they have policies of wiping down glasses after being touched. I understand that. But she made us feel like she thought we were about to steal from her. I understand that they have to be cautious of the customers But she made it so uncomfortable plus her saying that she didn't need me trashing the glasses? Well that was unacceptable !! Such great customer service! I dropped a pair of sunglasses that I bought at Nordstrom and the lens popped out. I went to Nordstrom to get them fixed but the woman handed them back to me and said she couldn't do it. I then went in to Sunglass Hut and was greeted nicely by two employees. I explained the situation and an employee fixed them and he even cleaned them for me!! I asked what I owed for the repair and he said free of charge. Next time I buy a pair of sunglasses I will definitely buy them here :) read more

Unbelievable customer service and a great selection. I browsed the Chanel sunnies while my husband looked for Ray Bans and I'm so upset I can't remember the name of the gentleman who helped us. My husband really wanted aviators, but felt they were too droopy for his face. The guy helped him with about 100 pairs, never losing patience and always explaining the different glasses and being helpful. We finally found a pair of modern aviators that fit perfect and at check out, he even tightened up my Chanel aviators I didn't buy there and cleaned them. We will be back. After almost always experiencing mediocre customer service, this stood out. read more

Got to the store with 5 minutes before posted closing hours. The doors were already locked. When I signaled to the clerks that were all staring at me that it wasn't 7 yet I got the big F.U. stare back. When I'm about to drop $300 for a pair of sunglasses I expect a little better service than that. read more
