Molly and Samantha were amazing!!!!! They made us laugh and were so patient with being so picky about which sunglasses we wanted. English is my mom's second language but they did not make her feel any less. They helped her with all her questions and made us feel so welcomed the entire time. So thankful we bought 5 pairs of glasses! I also brought my dog Dexter and they gave him treats no matter how much he farted. LOL

Absolutely Loved These! Thank you Nicole!

I came here for the first time with my mom and sister, and we left feeling happy and satisfied. I absolutely love what I purchased. I do want to make known about the sales representative Nicole, who was an absolute darling. My mom is picky, but Nicole was very patient and made sure my mom left with a pair of glasses she loved. The sales associate gave us a bunch of pairs to try on, and guided us until we found the perfect one. Told us about promotions and adjusted several times a pair of glasses so it fit my mom; overall a great experience. We'll come back for the holidays!

Like, the size that means I should…read morenever breed, because clearly evolution or God is sending me a message so that I know not to have children, because no one would ever be cruel enough to inflict birthing a child with a head like mine on another person. This makes Sunglass shopping a huge pain in the butt, as most companies don't make sunglasses large enough for people with heads larger than a mini cooper. I have always dreamed of owning Ray Bans. Clearly I am not aiming high enough in life, since that was like my biggest dream ever, but that is an issue to be discussed another time (possibly in a review of me seeing a counselor to analyze why I lack real ambitions). Anyway, I had Ray Bans when I was younger, and seeing as I wore them before they were cool, like any true hipster in Ray Bans would, I was crushed when they broke, and my head got huge and I could not get new ones for me and my melon head. Jump to Christmas, 2013, when my loving mother tried to make my dreams of Ray Ban owning come true once again. Unfortunately, she underestimated the giant head she pushed out (that seems like someone one wouldn't forget, but who knows) and the glasses did not fit. Enough is enough, so I began hunting all over the great Contra Costa valley for Ray Bans to fit my head, when, in a moment of pure luck, I found a very helpful sales associate at the Sunglass Hut. Who could have known what a fateful meeting that would be? She showed me other brands that were similar in style, but would fit a noggin as large as my own. Unfortunately, I do not have the dollar bills to drop on Versace or the other brands she showed me, stylish though they were, and I am still partial to my hipster Ray Bans. She then told me, when I expressed my brand loyalty and desire to be one of the "cool kids" that RayBans actually can be modified, and that they had a machine that can take the hook of the back of the arms, allowing them to reach the many miles back from me face to behind my ears. She then perfectly molded the most glorious pair of sunglasses ever to grace the face of the earth, selling them to me all while smiling and being friendly, even with a headache. The customer service, the chit chat, those would earn four stars. The fifth star really comes from the fact that this Sunglass Hut makes dreams come true. My dream. Thank you Sunglass Hut.

I'm just a Ray Ban / Oakley kind of guy. My wifey likes the Gucci and higher brands. 5 mins in the store and not a word was spoken to us. Not a hello, no can I help you? The two gentleman there were at the counter, one was doing something with the register the other adjusting some glasses it looked like. There was no one else in the store but us four. I looked at my wifey and said, " Let's Go " because I sure wasn't going to initiate the first acknowledgement of us being in there. We were the consumers, not the employees. As I walked out, I said towards the two guys at the counter in my most sarcastic voice...., "Thanks for LETTING US browse..." One looked up and gave a half ass nod. WTF.

Stellar service. I couldn't be happier…read more I lost my glasses and urgently needed a few contact lenses to get me through the next few days. I'm not even a customer at this store, but they didn't hesitate to help. They offered me a free sample box of contact lenses that matched my prescription, no pressure and no strings attached. I had also checked with Costco, and while they had samples available, they said I could only get them if I placed an order. That would have left me without contacts for a week. This store actually cared and helped me when I needed it. Excellent customer service, and I'm very grateful.

My original order was entered incorrectly as single-vision instead of progressive lenses. After I contacted customer service, Warby Parker acknowledged the mistake and corrected the order at no additional cost. I received a new invoice specifically showing progressive lenses with a $0 balance. Unfortunately, the replacement lenses were also incorrect and I could not see properly through them. When I returned to the Walnut Creek store to have that problem addressed, I was suddenly charged $230 for the difference between single-vision and progressive lenses--the very issue that had already been resolved weeks earlier. What bothers me most is the principle of how this was handled. If I owed $230 when the progressive-lens reorder was placed, I should have been told and charged then. Instead, Warby Parker processed the correction at $0, and only when I returned because there was a problem with those lenses did they reopen the issue and charge me. I've spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to resolve errors I didn't make, including an insurance issue created by the original incorrect order. Customer service has since offered to refund $100 of the $230, but that still doesn't address the underlying issue: I should never have been charged retroactively for an order correction that Warby Parker had already made and documented at no additional cost. After 10 years as a loyal customer, this experience has unfortunately cost Warby Parker my business.

Nordstrom itself is still a great place to shop. This review is really for the free styling…read moreservice they offer. I was in need of a professional wardrobe after working from home the last few years. I set up an appointment with a stylist online and she called to ask what I was looking for, my sizes, color preferences etc. I was very specific- I needed an interview suit for my conservative industry, as well as day to day office pieces and shoes. I also said I was open to jewelry (costume - Nordstrom is one of the best stores for costume jewelry that is still high quality IMO). We set an appt and I cane in and she had reserved a large fitting room and had it filled with suits and separates. Everything in row sizes (I'm a 4 or a 6 based on the designer). Nice job of bringing in both high end and more reasonable prices. No shoes, no jewelry, no outfit suggestions. That was the "style" part I really wanted. Basically for a free service it's a nice time saver to have clothes pulled and ready for you to try on. But that's it. I was prepared to spend a lot of money because I hadn't shopped much in a long time and I ended up with a single suit, a blouse, and a random t shirt I later texted the same stylist to ask if she could pull some options for an upcoming wedding I had to go to. Never heard back.

I brought two pairs of eyeglass frames here for a routine adjustment…read more During the first visit, the staff member adjusting my glasses, Amanda, accidentally broke one of the frames. While accidents can happen, when I asked, she implied risk was minimal "unless you don't know what you're doing." After the incident, she then restated "there is always a risk for things to break." To her credit, Amanda made a genuine, constructive effort to resolve the issue by helping me find an alternative frame that could accommodate my existing lenses, which would need to be recut. If everything went fine from here, I would not have bothered with writing a review. The reason for this review is the follow-up encounter a few weeks later when I returned to pick up the new glasses and pay the remaining balance. I was met with a different staff member or owner this day to assist me. I asked if I could return for follow-up help if I experienced eye strain or optical issues from the recut lenses; her response was unexpectedly confrontational. Instead of addressing a standard customer concern, she took an aggressive, defensive stance, implying that any future issues were solely my responsibility and I should have thought about those future issues ahead. She diminished the situation by stating my original frame (which was only several months old) was "cheap" and already depreciated, stating word to word: "It is our job to help people. But we are not completely responsible for all the issues that happen while we do our job." Rather than engage in this argument, I completed the fitting as quickly as possible, paid for the replacement frame (she emphasized I was getting a very generous $30 discount for the inconvenience - I didn't argue or haggle). Then I just left politely as quickly as I can. After a day of using the glasses, I also realized one of the recut lense has a small chip at the rim. But at this point, I would rather not have any more encounter with this shop. I went to another shop who did the final fitting adjustment for the new frame for me after a trial for a day or so. Throughout this entire process--despite the broken frame, the weeks of delay, and the expense--not once did anyone offer a basic apology. Being treated with what essentially feels like hostility when asking a routine question about lens adaptation made an already frustrating situation far worse. If you are simply purchasing a new pair of glasses from scratch, your experience may be fine. However, how a business handles mistakes and communicates when things go wrong speaks volumes. Even though I won't return, I hope store does better job for future customers and more importantly, hope no one else has my experience.
