He offered to make things right with both my and my wife's glasses, even though it had been several months since I had mine made. We both ended up having to go back to the eye doctor to make sure there was no error with the prescription. After that, we went to the store and explained the situation. Once they heard that Gregg had given his approval, they remade the lenses for both of us. As of today, I've picked up mine and the rainbow edges I was seeing before are gone, as well as a crack that had appeared due to the lenses not fitting the frames right. I'm satisfied that although we originally had a bad experience, Eyeglass Factory made things right in the end. Thanks Gregg!

Always have to stop in the hat store - it's a rite of passage! This time I didn't find anything to purchase. I was intent on finding a replacement pair of mittens for our granddaughter, but they didn't have anything in the right color scheme. They were down to dark colors, and she's into pink these days. The staff members were friendly and welcoming on a holiday when they might have preferred being somewhere else. I took a look at the "No Headache" visors which I like to wear, but wasn't enticed by the current colors/pattens they have in stock. I purchased a pair of sunglasses in November 2025, not long after the frame was cracked on the…read morebottom of the lense and I was surprised since I hadn't dropped them so was not sure why they were cracked, so I took them back to Eyeglass Factory in Ventura where I purchased them to let them know what had happened. Ventura store just told me no they didn't have the same pair and nothing more. Then I went to the one in Camarillo and explained what happened and Angie was so nice and told me it must have been a defect by the way they were cracked and told me it was still under warranty so was so nice and looked around to try to find me the same pair. She finally found some but in a different color in Santa Barbara so they shipped it to Camarillo and I got them within a few days December 20. I went back and picked up the glasses and this morning I woke up and they were cracked in the same exact spot as the last pair so since I got this last pair in Camarillo, I decided to go back to that same store since Angie was so helpful and let them know what had happened. When I went in the girl behind the counter greeted me and as I was telling her what had happened from the beginning she was giving me a look as if my story wasn't true in a way and told me well you only get one warranty and I said well I believe it was a defect and then she called to Angie and Angie tried helping me out looking for another frame that maybe my lense could be put into. This review would have been a 5 star but with the way the first girl behind the counter made me feel and wasn't nice after her greeting I could only give a 3 star. Angie is amazing.

I've been using Costco in Oxnard for several year for frames/lenses as well as replacing lenses in…read moremy own frame. Up until now I have been happy with the service I have received. I wanted to get new frames and lenses and decided to try progressive lens this time instead of bifocal. I met Philippe at first. He said my own glasses (which I wanted to use) were too small for a progressive lense. So I started looking at frames. I selected a frame that i liked. He said the size was too big for me. It was the same size frame as the frames I have been wearing for years. Apparently I like a larger frame and the womens frames were not to my liking. He offered no suggestions for options just showed me to where the smaller frames were and walked away. I had to take another number again when I was done selecting frames. I met with someone else who was very pleasant, also said the frames were a bit big but offered to save my place in line so I could find my husband in the store and make my own decision. I came back, was able to speak with the same pleasant person and ordered the glasses. It was the original pair I liked. When I went to pick up the new glasses I got Philippe again. He wasn't pleasant or couldn't manage to smile. He handed me the glasses and told me to follow my nose to get used to the new progressive lens. Didn't offer to see if they fit properly since the lenses were just put in or needed any final adjustment. He didn't even ask me to try them on to see how they seemed. I left. I tried them for a few days and decided that they were not going to be for me. I know it says your brain may take up to a month but the issues I experienced would not be ones that would go away over time. I went back to Costco 9-6-26 and, yep, got Philippe again. He wasn't very pleasant AGAIN. I explained what my issues were: blurry periferral vision poor night vision and I got neck pain using a large computer monitor. I wanted to go back to bifocal lenses in the new frame and also have a back up pair using my prior frames with the new RX. He said my older frames were damaged. They weren't bent or out of shape; they looked new. I had just used them last year at Costco for lenses and got no grief then. Asked if he would please try and send them to the lab. He just refused. He explained he was doing this for 40 years and new what the lab would say. I was shocked. I had never received such an uncaring response. I also asked him to look at another frame I was planning on using as reading only but he said they too were damaged? Hummmm just trying to sell new frames?? We finished my orignal transaction changing progressive to bifocals. I tried again. "Would you please send these to the lab and see what they say?" His response was "The lab will only ask WHY did you bather to send these in?" I responded because the customer asked me too. He was totally annoyed with me. Took the frame and did the order. Never said thank you, have a good evening. I was going to complain to the optical manager but his card said he was the optical manager. I wanted to go to the store manager but it was late and I was furious. Never again. I'll pick up the new glasses when they are in and go somewhere else in the future. My brother was planning on going to Costco for frames and lenses. I told him no. Go somewhere else where the service is pleasant. He did! Philippe Brousqsault the Optical manager at Costco lost my optical business (and my families) for sure going forward.

We arrived early and the place was nearly empty. I walked around their DVD area and picked up one my son wanted. I then went to purchase the new Arianna album with my other selections. The lady at the register was very nice and informative. She gave me some freebies since I was getting the album, which was a pleasant surprise. The DVDs were a little expensive ($5) but they have cheaper sections (near the front doors) so you can surely find something good there. I will definitely return as they also have a neat 2nd floor that has some nice gifts and other trinkets.

They only offered Acuvue, which didn't fit my eyes well, and the pair I left with was extremely uncomfortable. I never went back. I later went to Beverly Hills Vision Group (Jackson Lau) and got contacts that fit perfectly. Wasted $250--recommend going somewhere else.
