My car for vandalized and I had to take it to an auto shop to get it fixed. Vandalism was a horrible experience but Sunglow Auto Glass was great! The auto shop gave the car back to me and told me that the glass place would get in touch with me to schedule the final finishing touch on my window. I have used Sunglow auto glass in the past when they were up in Santa Clarita. I was very happy with service and would refer friends to them. That when I was dealing with Shaun. Now that they moved to North Hollywood area I'm dealing with Rich. They installed windshield into my VW , turned out good. They also installed rear slider in my truck which I removed camper shell to be done. They removed a clear window and replaced with a tinted window. I called back and told rich that will not work with snug top camper shell. At day time is ok, problem is night there is not enough outside light to see through camper shell which is tinted. Rich gave me the response " you didn't say you wanted clear". I responded back it was clear from the factory and I wasn't informed there is a choice of tinted or clear. Rich told to give it a try and see how it works and call him back. He also said I'll hold onto your window. I tried it at night a couple of times and it's extremely difficult to see out of camper shell at night. If no camper shell you can see. I keep shell on 80-90% of the time I've call back and asked to talk to Shaun and rich appears to block that request every time. He informed mehe(rich)will look for clear window and call me back. No call back in 3 1/2 months. I have called 3 times since that last conversation, and no call back. I'm a loyal customer that will reuse the same company when I received good customer service. I hope Shaun will get back to me to solve the problem or at least reinstall my old clear window that I was told they are holding onto. It's a safety issue that needs to be addressed now. Sean 5-22-2022, Update, Rich has contacted me after a couple of attempts on my part, not his. I found a factory clear( green tint aka factory like windshield) from a company called CR Laurence in 5 minutes. Had it delivered to my door in about 2 days. I spent $469 for window alone and about another $100 to install it at a local Santa Clarita shop. Rich unfortunately is not a person of his word. He did offer only a $100 dollar refund on window and install from his mistake. This was after several more attempts to reach out to him. He charged me over $300 to install the wrong rear slider window for my truck. Again his response was "I didn't know you want clear window". Pretty bad when I told him I was going to take off camper shell and to replace it with factory clear slider. My advise to anyone using his services is buyer beware. Any shop that is using a mailbox next to 7-11 store on the corner of Tijunga and Moorpark in the San Fernando valley has to be shakey if they don't want you to know where they are. 5-24-2022. Now I find out you have the rear slider window in your possession. Odd how you never mention that! As I'm communicating with Rich today he lies in his texts, can't remember dates cusses me out. Says he's thrown it out and now wants to drop it off at my house. Tries to throw a guilt trip that he has cancer! Unfortunate if true, be a professional and refund the $330 you charged me for the wrong window. read more

Cracked my windshield and everyday the crack keeps getting longer. So I needed to replace it asap. Called Colonial Coach Works which does automotive bodywork for Hamer Toyota and they said they don't do glass but referred me to a company, Sunglow Auto Glass, that they use. Sunglow is a mobile unit so they come to you. Called them to make an appointment for the next day and they arrived within the time frame they said they would come. Work took no more than an hour and the new windshield is much better looking (and slightly tinted) than the factory original that it replaced. Price I paid was comparable to other quotes that I got. Richard Tons (Rich) was absolutely phenomenal. My car got broken into a few days ago and with the impending rain, I wanted to get the glass repaired asap. My insurance company recommended I talk to Sunglow Auto Glass and within 45 minutes of talking to them, they were at my work ready to change the glass on my car. Rich was courteous, professional, personable, understanding, and comforting given the theft of my belongings was quite traumatic. He vacuumed my car of all the broken glass and replaced the glass with a new piece of perfectly tinted matched glass. This all took a total of 15 minutes. Well this time, I got to experience that quality of service myself, when the rear windshield on my newer Toyota was shattered yesterday. Although the broken windshield was incredibly upsetting, Rich at Sunglow made the replacement process a breeze. I was upset when the Friday before Easter a rock hit the windshield of my Mercedes C300 and cracked it. I knew I was in for an expensive replacement cost. After getting quotes on Yelp that were all super high (anywhere from $550-$700) I called Sunglow. Rich was super nice and helpful. He asked all the right questions and quoted me well under the other prices. We set up the appointment for after the weekend, on Monday. The installers arrived on time and ready...the only problem was I had told Rich I didn't have the front camera safety feature. The installers showed me I did have that. I was embarrassed, and felt awful for being wrong. After apologizing to Rich on the phone, he could not have been nicer and said no problem. He'd get the new windshield in 48 hours. He called me the next day! We set up an appointment for the foloowing afternoon. The installers came out again. On time, fast working and got it done in less than an hour. All in with the new upgraded glass it was less than all the other quotes! $475. I HIGHLY recommend Sunglow. Having to replace a vehicle window can be stressful. Certainly, whatever caused it was. I called Sunglow late in the day. The owner, Rich, predictably told me that he couldn't fix it till the following day. He called me back 10-minutes later and had a crew over within the hour. Oh. I should say... They come to you whether you're at work, home or wherever. The guys that came were very accommodating. They wanted to pull their truck into my garage but it wasn't possible. I thought it was gonna be an issue. They didn't blink. They told me it would take about a half-hour (which it did). They suggested that I didn't need to stand there and watch; I went inside and they called me when they were done. I called several auto glass companies in town, and Rich was not only one of the the few to call me back with a price as I was promised, but he was also the most affordable. I called him Friday morning, he called me back right away, and by Friday at lunch I had ordered my window. Rich said he'd call me Monday morning to set up a time to do the window (assuming it delivered that fast) and he did just that. Toyota told me it could be anywhere from 3-10 days, so I was relieved to have it resolved this quickly. The 2 guys he sent out were polite, friendly and did a great job. No complaints whatsoever. I called these guys to fix a crack in my windshield before it spread. Turns out it was actually an old crack that was already filled when I bought the car years ago but was now deteriorating. They drove out to my work and filled it within 5 minutes. When it was all done, he didn't charge me since it was a simple repair. Wouldn't even accept a tip.
