Nearly three months later, I called to check my position on the cancellation list and to confirm my appointment date so I could complete the required electronic forms (which couldn't be done without that date). I was on hold for over 10 minutes before being disconnected, then waited another 5 minutes when I called back. When I finally reached the new patient intake coordinator, I mentioned that it would have been helpful if the appointment date had been included in the email so I wouldn't need to call to confirm. Instead of addressing the issue, she became defensive, explaining how she was the only person in that role/ department. I told her I understood but felt their processes could improve and lessen the frustration. When I asked where I was on the cancellation list, she responded in a condescending manner, telling me they had many patients and that I wasn't their only one. I explained that I was aware of their multiple locations and providers and that I'd be happy to see any provider, of any gender, if it meant being seen sooner. Despite that, she continued to give reasons why it wasn't possible to move my appointment. I did finally drag out of her that I was third on the list in which I said there was hope. I thanked her and ended the call. To my surprise, she called me back in what felt like a passive-aggressive manner, asking why I had hung up on her. I told her I had thanked her and was finished speaking. She was upset that I didn't say good bye but instead said thank you and hung up. She commented on my tone, and I told her I didn't appreciate her manner toward me and that I was matching her energy at this point. The conversation escalated, and admittedly, I did say the f word once out of frustration because she had called back only to continue the conflict rather than help. She then stated she would be speaking with management to revoke my ability to be seen at their practice. I said I understood and would also like to speak with management. About a week later, I received a letter stating I had been removed as a patient and would need to be reassigned elsewhere. After reading reviews on Yelp and other sites, I noticed a pattern of similar experiences. In the end, they probably did me a favor, but the lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability from their intake staff was incredibly disappointing and reflects poorly on how this medical group treats patients. I don't generally leave reviews but this was unethical and very disappointing.

An update to my review as of 1/20/2026: We continue to be batted between UCLA telling us to call…read moreour insurance, and our insurance (Cigna) to call UCLA due to them (correctly) stating they do not set the prices, and only UCLA can help due to them charging us at a special faculty rate (despite special faculty rate NOT being the appropriate categorization for a primary care visit), and not informing us beforehand that this would be the case. Once we finally reach someone to talk to at UCLA, we are told a supervisor will look into it and then get no response for a month, only for us to proactively follow up and be put through the same claims process again with no help in sight. Truly, one of the worst healthcare experiences we have had. Over $1000 to get 5-10 minutes with a primary care Dr to request a an antidepressant that I have taken for years, and requiring a follow up Drs appointment to charge hundreds of dollars a second time to even be able to receive a refill of the medication. I hope my experience informs others and they choose a different healthcare provider group. Not only is there nobody to go to for help, the UCLA billing department actively does NOT want to help you, and unnecessary follow-up appointments are booked in order to extract as much money as possible from a patient into their healthcare system.

She is always there and available for her patients 24/7 and it's so comforting for us to know that. She always knows of the latest treatments and medicines and I could not ask for a better doctor. Shannon at the front desk makes sure all our medical records and test orders are done. I was at a specialist appointment at UCLA once and I called Shannon during that visit and she got all my necessary medical information to them right then and there. Amazing! Stephanie is the medical assistant and she is the nicest, most patient person you will ever meet. She is so efficient and she deals with all the stress of talking to insurance companies to make sure our medicines are covered and up to date. I don't know what we would do without her; she is that exceptional. I usually don't do Yelp reviews but this team really deserves to be lauded. I am so grateful to have them.

I was so happy to learn my bone score and discuss it with Dr. Viglione. It told me that, in addition to the bone loss I already knew about, my bone quality was low because my bone was soft. This is the information I needed to decide to take Prolia to improve my bones. I am an inventor of the technology and can attest that Dr. Viglione used it perfectly! The previous reviews mentioning rude staff are accurate. They don't always ask for your insurance card or they're too busy to take it. So you may get a bill six months later for the visit, full cost, from their billing service. If you call the office and complain, they'll say we don't have your insurance card on file. Do they call you or does the billing department call you, like one would assume a concierge practice would do, prior to billing the insurance? No. Since the we received the bill from their billing department six months after the visit, if the billing department refiles the claim with insurance this time, the insurance will deny the claim because it was submitted too late... Not sure what the problem is, front staff or billing, but this scenario happened twice to our family in the past year. Told the office staff we were taking our business and concierge fee elsewhere. Of course the office sent a letter saying my calling to complain about the billing issue was abusive. What's abusive is the way the staff treats patients. We're already paying over $400 for concierge fees annually, plus our high monthly health insurance premiums, our deductible, your office doesn't ask for my insurance card and then bills me six months later for the full price of the visit, over $200, and they don't think the client is going to be a tad upset?
