We had a very disappointing experience with Sunlight Cleaning. They ignored cleaning the window ledge, blinder, kitchen. they did not do vacuum. I asked to them ,they will going to do it, they said "NO". I expected much better and won't be using them again. read more

I would give this ZERO stars if the app allowed me. TERRIBLE company. I had them clean my elder neighbors apartment on the UES and they did a great job on the apartment but ruined her kitchen floor. I was told by Iryna Balaban, one of the founders, that they can't be responsible for floors that have been neglected. This is untrue- her kitchen floor had a lot of crumbs on it but it was not 'neglected.' That did not justify them using cleaning supplies that ruined the finish of the floors and she told me they are not responsible for the damage they did. Absolutely horrible that they feel justified in being able to DAMAGE floors or other property and have zero accountability. STAY AWAY FROM THESE TERRIBLE PEOPLE. You can see in the before and after floors where the floor is black, albeit it w crumbs. The other photos show tan circular marks that will not go away bc they ruined the finish of the floor and left it permanently marked. read more

I have an empty house, freshly painted. Needed deep clean for renters. First the price, $1200 very high cost - expected total clean. Was suppose to get 3 cleaners for 7 hours each. One of the cleaners, Tanya, was a professional, the other two seemed like amateur cleaners. Normally my cleaning person can do a reasonably clean in four hours. I am talking about spotless counter tops, floors, bathrooms. Sunlight Cleaning fell short in a number of areas: a) Oven not cleaned. After they left I had to clean the oven myself. Inches and inches of grease, it was disgusting. b) Counter top had food encrusted on it, not cleaned. c) They didn't clean at all the travertine ledge in the dining room. Was black with dirt. d) Was suppose to get 7 hours. They left at 4:30, less than 7 hours. They also ate lunch on my time. I didn't realize at $55/hr/cleaner I would have to pay them for their lunch break. e) The toilet in the master bath didn't have the bottom cleaned. Still urine stains there. I cleaned it myself with some ammonia and a toilet brush. They did do a good job on the refrigerator, that's about all I can say. I do not recommend this service at all. read more

I used Sunlight Cleaning go to clean my recently vacated 2bdrm apartment and clean the new 3bdrm I was moving in to. Both experiences were excellent. The cleaning teams were polite, communicative and efficient. Both spaces were sparkling by the time they were complete. If it is in your budget to hire cleaners for you move, I strongly recommend. It made the experience so much less stressful and allowed me to focus on packing/unpacking and making the transition as seamless as possible for my children. Will likely use Sunlight again on a monthly basis to keep our home clean and tidy! read more

I gave 3 stars because not everything was all bad. However for $130 for a studio I expect a certain level of clean that I don't feel I got my money's worth. The kitchen was good, but literally the tiniest kitchen. My bathroom was not ok at all (see pic) like you can't think that's clean! And that's the main thing people are paying for. My desk was incredibly sticky but clean but I will have to wipe down myself. Living space and bedroom were good. Although my Coffee table was not 100%. I guess I just expect a better service when they say it takes 3 hrs for a studio I don't know how 3 of the 7 things you clean are that way. Will not use again. Disappointed because I sprung the extra 100$ for a deep clean and felt like I wasted my money and time. She did an amazing job on the tub and oven but the bedroom was barely touched. I'm a pretty cleanly person already and live in a pretty small one bed, the square footage of a studio, so I was very excited to come back and see what was done but I had to clean the rest of the day after she left to feel like I could really have it be a finished job. Still stars because she was a very kind woman and I still feel like a job was done, just think I could have done it better myself in less time and wouldn't go for it again. Desk wasn't even wiped down, bed wasn't made floor areas closer to walls did not look swept or mopped, there was still stuff on side of tubs and toilet, dusting was poor. Friday afternoon, the cleaning company you had booked flakes on their appointment. What to do? I headed to Google and found Sunlight Cleaning. I was able to schedule for the next morning. They arrived on time and got right to work. My place needed them, and they did a really good job. They are professionals and have the knowledge and tools to get the job done. Don't hesitate to hire them, they were fantastic. I've worked with cleaning companies in the past where the person cleaning isn't good, or the timing was bad, or where they just didn't do a good job. After months of renovation, our sizable apartment was covered in construction dust. In ceiling fans, light fixtures, on every surface, and inside of every cabinet and appliance. I interviewed numerous cleaning companies who said they could handle post-construction cleaning. Some didn't have their own ladders or vacuums, a few were outrageously expensive. Iryna came to our home, confidently told us her crew could easily take care of all (including windows, inside and out) and gave us an affordable and fair quote. The crew arrived yesterday, on time, with all equipment and a ladder, and immediately got to work. I stayed for a while and could see that they were real pros. We came back an hour before they were done. They asked us to check all. We found a few places they had overlooked. They were happy to take care of anything we pointed out. They worked a solid 8 hours and were friendly and hard working. We are impressed with how much they accomplished in one day. We will def hire them back after we move in and as the dust continues to settle (as is normal after this kind of renovation) Highly recommend Sunlight Cleaning :) read more

I hired Sunlight Cleaning to do a post-renovation cleaning after several other companies who advertised this service said they were not longer offering it. Two cleaners came, were very efficient, cleaned places I wasn't even aware it was possible to clean ( such as construction dust inside the stove), and cleaned dirt that was not renovation-related such as the outside windows and in the oven. It took only 6 hours to clean everything in my studio and the price was reasonable - less time and at a lower cost than I've seen advertised elsewhere. Another thing to add that was great about them was that they were extremely flexible with the scheduling which was important because I wanted my place cleaned before I moved back in after the renovation. This was my first time hiring cleaners for anything, but I was so happy with the service that I think I will hire them for regular cleaning in the future. read more
