Our cleaner arrived on time, but the supervisor who was supposed to come and look at how big the job arrived 30+ mins later​. Not only that but they were bringing the 'equipment​' that I'd purchased, a very simple bucket, mop and broom (for $50! - worth $15 at the absolute most - do not get this add-on​). One of my biggest disappointments​ was with the cleaning products they gave to the cleaner - one bottle of green coloured liquid (no idea what it was made of and the cleaner wasn't sure either), and about 4 microfiber cloths. How they expect someone to clean an entire apartment with so little is beyond me. The cleaner was very nice but ultimately​ we did not get the 'deep clean' we asked for. I love Greenhouse Eco-Cleaning! We've used them three times and every time the house has looked great. The cleaning staff we've had were very friendly & receptive to our requests about cleaning. (We've had Annette & Nivia.) Our first clean was the 4-hour deep clean, and the other two were 3-hour cleans. The first one was really incredible. Four hours in a studio gets amazing results (inside the fridge!!), but we have been totally satisfied with our 3 hour cleans. I've never had an issue with anyone on the phone or being slow - but we also never stick around while the person is here cleaning (it's a studio, so it's easier to just go to the park for a few hours!). However, the results are great and speaks to the quality of the work. I have spent 3 hours cleaning my apartment and it just is not the same. Greenhouse has better rates than other green cleaners & is totally worth it in my opinion! read more

I've only hired Greenhouse once so far. I had initially booked my cleaning for noon and then got an email saying it would be at 1 instead. Also I got an email saying the cleaner had been changed. I had no problem with that. Then the cleaner did actually come at noon and said she didn't know it was supposed to be rescheduled to 1. That itself is whatever, but I had to basically jump out of the shower and throw something on to answer the door. Thus the loss of a star. As for the cleaning itself it was very satisfactory. I specified the areas that I wanted cleaned and were in excellent condition by the time the cleaning was done. I will definitely hire them again in the future. At the end of the session your apartment will be clean, however I cannot help but comment that the cleaners seem to move really slowly. If I had the time and patience to clean my own place I think I could do the work they do in literally half the time. Liz was really excellent and thorough. Our bathroom and kitchen cabinets were spotless, and she had some great tips about how to keep dust away and what cleaning supplies are not harmful to the body. My grandmother is in her seventies and very sensitive to chemicals in cleaning products, so this was a perfect fit. If it's your first time using the service, you should know that they will send a supervisor half way through the cleaning to make sure the cleaner is doing a good job. This really scared my grandmother, but the surprise could have been avoided if the company would have notified us about this in the first place. All in all, they did a really good cleaning job with natural cleaning products. We will definitely be using GreenHouse Eco-Cleaning again in the future. read more

Misleading. Overpriced. Unorganized. Unreliable. We booked 2 cleaners over four hours for a thorough clean. They sent one "cleaner" instead to evaluate if the job could be done by just one person (regardless of what was PAID for. Apparently she decided it could be cleaned but apparently cleaning does NOT include: 1. The floor. 2. The shelves. (except maybe a slight dusting around items) 3. Underneath anything. 4. The windowsills. 5. Anything higher than approx. 7ft (apparently when judging whether or not to have a second cleaner there, she decided if she couldn't reach it, it didn't need to be cleaned.) 6. The windows. 7. Did I mention the floor? Since I can't get my money back, please avoid spending yours. read more

I set this service up online and they were very helpful and gracious. Saturday rolls around for my 9 am appointment. Let's walk through how this all played out. 1. The cleaner showed up at 9:30 with no one informing me she would be late. She complained that the cleaning service had not told her about the appointment, so it's my best guess she just rolled out of bed. 2. I was informed by the service that it was a 4 hour minimum. NP. Great. The cleaner though told me it was 3 hours and she would be there til 12. Hmm, aren't you a half an hour late already? 3. She did not have the list I filled out online as to what to clean. She claimed no one gave this. What if I wasn't home? What would she have done? 4. The cleaning went slow, but I only asked her to do floors, bath and kitchen - NP right? She kept saying our house was already so clean it shouldn't be a problem. But, if she had to stay late she would - and not tell the service. So that must account for the "late." 5. We left for a few hours and came back to our picture frame being broken. Not a big deal, but she blamed it on our cats. 6. When I emailed the company for a receipt, I told them about the 3 hours. Took them a day or so to get back to me. They charged me for the full 4 hours plus tax. I continued to say that she was late and was ADAMANT about only 3 hours. Seemed like she had plans. 7. They called me and tried to waive the extra hour. The supervisor then told me they had to charge me and since I did not call immediately, i still owed for the 4 hours... Interesting. I noted I would use them again and they should see value in that and not charge extra for nothing. It's the principle here. Will anyone ever get good customer service? They didn't seem to care. Regarding the cleaner - I found her very nice and cheerful. All around I enjoyed her service. Too bad she works for Greenhosue. read more

I did some searching online for a local cleaning service to do a deep clean on our 2 bedroom apartment before our new baby arrives. There were many services, but Greenhouse's philosophy and product list really caught our eye. We called them to discuss, and received a very detailed cleaning plan before the appointment. We opted for the deep clean, and requested specifics, such as appliance cleaning, cupboard cleaning, bathroom deep clean. Jennifer was courteous, helpful, and prompt in confirming by email. Joyce, our cleaner, turned up promptly (she was actually 10 minutes early in order to discuss our appointment), and we disappeared for 3 hours while Joyce started. The initial clean took longer than anticipated, but we had factored this in, as it was a primary thorough deep clean. Joyce was fantastic, and the attention to detail was great. We were totally happy with the service, and will definitely be using them again to give my wife a break while we concentrate on our highly anticipated newborn. I had the Greenhouse Eco come to my house for the first time last week. They were very thorough and followed the directions I had given them. The also had a supervisor come and check on the maid and I was very happy with the customer service and cleaning services. They are not the cheapest out there but they use great and green products and are very good, so it is worth it! read more

The initial 4-hr service from Greenhouse was very easy to set up via their website and email confirmations. The cleaner, Onika, was on time, friendly and efficient. She focused on exactly what I asked for and finished almost everything within 4 hrs. I had a friend and her baby over to visit me during the cleaning, and there was zero concern about toxic chemicals in the air, because they genuinely use natural products. And it's impressive how vinegar can clean everything so well with a little elbow grease... you have to wonder why consumers support a billion dollar chemical cleaning industry when you can do so much more with less cost and less harm done to ourselves and our environment. I'll use Greenhouse again for seasonal cleanings. The prices are fair for the good service, although still high for my recession-budget on a regular weekly/bi-weekly service. read more

Dreadful. Many others seem to not only have experienced poor performance but then REALLY poor customer relations! Ugh! They were recomended by Real Estate broker to do a post move out clean of an empty apartment. I have no idea what they did for their alleged 4 hours, but they didn't clean inside drawers, didn't clean shelves, didn't mop floors, didn't clean most surfaces. They left specks and spots in the bathroom--and when you're paying $30 an hour to present a spotless feeling apt to a new tenant, it just didn't cut it. All the shelves and drawers were empty, and there was NO other furniture to clean! Maybe they vacumed the bare floor? If I could have not paid, I would have, but it had already gone through. Had lengthy conversations where they finally offered a small discount, but said they would deduct the existing Real Estate discount instead of adding it to the existing discount. Unpleasant, incompetent and NOT recommended. read more

I really appreciated how she tolerated my new puppy, who has been barking and growling at strangers. Vanessa cleaned up the apartment really, really well, scrubbing in places I had forgotten existed! I booked a Mint Green Intro Cleaning and was thrilled - got confirmations and updates from the company, including notification when one cleaner was unavailable and I was going to be sent a sub - Pamela - who did a terrific job. I wish the website had explained that I needed a mop - but Pamela did a super job with what I had available (swiffer, vacuum cleaner). Communication with this company was professional and personable. The cleaner (Dexxxx) mature and unfriendly woman showed up on time. She was concerned with when she left, what she would clean (which was already circled on the form) and that Isign the form immediately. The cupboards were dirty, she missed spots in the bathroom and the floors looked untouched. Dexxxx was told about the cupboards and got defensive that she used elbow grease on it. I put some clorox and water on a soft rag and wiped the spot clean in 1 sec. I had no conversation with her about anything else. What's the point?? An argument, defensiveness. I decided not to give her a tip, but she looked so sad, that I gave her 10% of the Job's cost. This is a cleaning job. Things must get cleaned, if not your product is not cleaning friendly. So not worth the money or hassle. I tried this service over a period of about 4-5 months. They were constantly getting the schedule mixed up and and lying to me about it. There was one cleaner I liked who came for a few weeks and then she told me on her last visit that she wasn't going to return because she was going back to school. When Greenhouse called me for the next cleaning, they told me it was because the woman's mother was sick. After the fourth schedule mix-up I told them to get their act together and the woman on the phone called me a bitch and hung up on me. read more

This service was a complete joke. Booked them for a pricey cleaning for a move in. Cleaners showed up late with NO CLEANING SUPPLIES. I was told to provide a vacuum and mops but each cleaner arrived asking me if I had any cleaning supplies. Isn't this an eco cleaning service providing their own cleaning solutions? I was then told that they each had a small bottle of their special cleaning solution but needed more and they were sending them over. 2 hours passed and one person worked on an already clean bathroom the entire time. Cleaning supplies were delivered at least 4 hours later. Pretty sure water was just used to clean everything during most of that time. They didn't wipe down shelves or the blinds even though I specifically asked them to. Didn't wipe down ceiling fans which I asked them to. The place was completely empty so its not like they were bombarded with furniture or anything else to wipe clean and dust off. One cleaner kept asking me if I had paper towels. Again, isn't this an eco cleaning service? I gave her two rolls of paper towels and she used them in minutes. Walked into the place not smelling one ounce of a freshly cleaned home. I moved earlier this week to an apartment that was newly renovated and coated in dust. A friend recommended that I call GreenHouse to help with the situation and they were able to come the next day! I'm very pleased with the efficient and friendly manner in which the appointment was made. Email communication was informative, as well as the opportunity to "fine tune" the cleaning service. The representative who arrived to do the actual cleaning was efficient, courteous, and attentive to any requests that were made. I really wanted to like this cleaning service because it's hard to find green cleaning services, but it has not worked out well for us. We've used them at least 5 times and the quality of the cleaning varies depending on who the person cleaning is--some are better than others. They are often late or need to reschedule. The billing department is very disorganized--I have been double charged for cleanings multiple times. In the end the hassle isn't worth it--we will just clean ourselves. read more

She paid attention to the details such as wiping down the woodwork, which in higher traffic areas of the city makes a big difference in ones perception of the cleanliness of their apartment. Great experience after the first visit. The scheduling and customer service is extremely professional and our apartment was cleaner than any other cleaning service has done so far. They were far more detail oriented than any other cleaner we have used and they are so open for feedback and areas of improvement (although there really wasn't much!). Had a great experience with GreenHouse Eco-Cleaning and would recommend them above anyone else I've hired previously. First, I needed to reschedule multiple times for the appointment due to my work schedule, and they were very accomodating. I had been subletting an apartment closer to my office for a few months, and when it came time to move out, I wanted to make sure everything was in perfect condition. Vanessa did a very thorough cleaning and left the apartment in better condition than when I'd moved in, frankly. My husband and I were moving into an apartment with our baby and I knew the previous tenants had cats which my husband is allergic to. Having a new baby i have changed over to all organic cleaners in the house. That being said I am NOT a good cleaner. I called GreenHouse Eco Cleaning and they knew exactly what I was looking for and they were able to come at the exact time i needed them. She arrived at 9am on the dot and did an amazing job. This "cleaning" was incredibly over-priced for the amount of work that was accomplished. Greenhouse says they do post construction cleanup (and they charge an extra $40 right off the top for it), but in this case the cleaning staff were completely unprepared for the straightforward task of removing the thin layer of plaster dust that had settled throughout the office. They arrived with dusters and no vacuum, and I had to convince the manager that vacuuming was necessary. They charged a lot extra for "high" cleaning like pipes and the top of shelves, but ignored most of the shelves in between. They would not move ANYTHING during the cleaning. I would never use their service again and do not recommend that anyone else does so. One thing I would say in their favor is that the office staff was friendly and although no one ever got back to me (or arrived) when they said they would (they were consistently late), they did make an effort to schedule my cleaning quickly. read more

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was completely dissapointed and still so frustrated that I spent the most I've ever had to shell out for a house cleaning that was neither thorough nor professional. You would think that a professional job is in your near future based on this company's website and the forms that clients have to fill out beforehand...but when our cleaning person showed up, she asked what I wanted done. What was the point of filling out the forms?? Also, after way too many hours (at $36/hour plus tax for one person!!!) she never even managed to completely clean the entire apartment and had to leave. She left partly because I couldn't stomach to pay any more and also because she made it clear that her time was limited due to a personal commitment later in the day. What kind of professional does that? I was very dissapointed to find that several pieces of furniture were not dusted, something that I specifically requested in the online forms. Moreover, I've been very dissapointed at the company's response to my complaints. I will certainly not be using this company again and advise others to STAY AWAY!!! read more
