My family and I went on a weekend vacation near hopewell VA and we decided to book through…read moresuper.com for this hotel at best western for a 2 bedroom queen . we arrived there and we check in the room I was on the bed near the right by the wall and my husband the kiddos was on the bed by the ac unit. on Saturday night my elbow started to itch and I notice it swelled like welts and I'm like that's odd because in Jersey bugs isn't out yet . and when im out door in va bugs was not out or mosquitoa. so I noticed that after that a bright red spot occurs by my wrist and I showed my husband and he said that's a bite! and i never experienced bed bugs. we did not discover It was beg bugs at the time until my husband slept with me the second night and he woke up and with bites down his legs and arms and feet . we then made the determination we was bitten in our sleep. so we took pics of the proof. and called the hotel and spoke with Jesse. she was very unconcerned about out issues and basically told us that we should not have put a review up because it bad for reputation. my husaband and I spoke with Jesse and she was not concerned about the bed bugs but stated that she have people from the army base staying there that was good for business. So I took it upon myself and called back and spoke with Janet and she stated why I didn't tell the front desk upon check out and I told her I NEVER BEEN bitten by a bed bug or had this at any other hotel like the Hilton. so Janet and Jesse teams up and make a lie saying I said Indians was dirty ! I never mentioned that I told Janet that I didn't have good experience with the hotels ran by indian and she AGREED . And then go back and tell Jesse some lie! I'm unconcern about the lie but more concern how they handle customers that been bitten up badly by bed bugs . Initially Jesse said that the floor was shut down for months ! When we asked they said they sterilized the rooms after each guest, don't rerent for 72 hours and then sterilize again for the next guest. Everything is absolutely spotless and in these COVID times this was #1 for us! Staff were friendly, everything works. The kitchenette includes a full size fridge freezer which was nice. And free WiFi doesn't hurt! We skipped the continental breakfast (there's a sign that options are limited, understandably, due to covid) for other options close by but we did partake last visit and it was fine!

And the lady working the breakfast area was entertaining! haha ) but anyways, at some point I sneezed in our room and I heard someone yell bless you so...not sound proof or sealed walls/doors, etc. I believe the 2nd and 3rd floor were quieter. Not many people coming and going. Though, at some point this morning there was an awful smell coming into our room or something and it woke me up a handful of times but it was our last night there so I was ready to leave. It was so bad I ended up getting up really early and spraying some room spray in the room bc of how bad it was. (It only helped for a bit) Laundry room is located on 3rd floor and there is only 2 washers, and 2 driers. Washers took 44~ mins and drying took an hour. Both are $2.75 each, card only, tap to pay available. Our clothes were cleaned nice and perfectly dry! P.S: They also had dove products which has been my go to at almost every hotel! The coffee is freshly grounded and had plenty of creamer and half and half, and plenty of parking for a trailer towards the back! Which we are SO grateful for! P.P.S: A lot of blinds from the outside of the building in the rooms look broken and possibly need replaced if they want better reviews! Overall, a good stay!

They allowed our group of students to congregate in the lobby while eating meals and enjoying each other's company. We are extremely grateful for their flexibility and hospitality. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We appreciated the provided Dove bathroom toiletry products. Overall, it was a very nice stay and reasonably priced with the additional discounts we received from FRC for reserving the block of rooms by the deadline.

The mirrors in the room had steaks on them as if someone wiped them down, but not sure with what because they just looked dirty. The dishwasher had splatter stains on the front and it just felt generally unclean. For the most part the hotel was quiet, but my room was right across from the elevator so there was that to contend with. On the plus side, the room was spacious, the TV and remote worked, the fridge was clean, and the shower water was hot. I won't return here because of the odor. But if weird smells don't bother you, go for it.
