Steve is great!! Very conscientious. He discovered rotten wood on my deck and brought it to my attention right away. Another time he saw a soft spot where one of hanging plants were and took the plant down and let me know about it. This saved me so much work and what could have been a very big mess. Steve was absolutely fantastic! I just moved into my house and noticed some drainage issues. After contacting him, he called me within a handful of hours. He provided an estimate in a timely fashion and two days later he was here to complete the job. Not only did Steve do a great job cleaning the gutters, he also pointed out an issue with the chimney as well as suggested a way to ensure an exposed water pipe would not freeze. Called Sunnie View on 21 Dec (left a voicemail) and received a callback on 30 Dec. Finally got a quote on 2 Jan for my gutter cleaning. We set up the cleaning for 0800 on 7 Jan and Steve promptly arrived at 0815. The quote he provided did NOT include taxes which is a shocker. If I had known that, he wouldn't have won the bid. Hired owner Steve to clean roof and gutters. Specifically pointed out I wanted large chunks of moss on roof and pine needles removed from gutters. He spent less than one hour on the roof with a leaf blower and spread some powdered moss out chemical along roof peak. Did not remove the large chunks of moss. When we reviewed the job, I pointed out the large chunks of moss were still on the roof. He stated I did not hire him to remove moss from roof, just debris. Silly me, I thought large chunks of moss are debris, and constitute why you hire someone to clean your roof. According to this guy, large chunks of moss don't qualify as debris that need to be removed from the roof. Do not hire this guy. He is a scam artist and has no people skills. He was very combative and insulting when I pointed out he did not do the job I hired him to do. read more

My communication with Steve started out great. He gave me a quote on June 19th via voicemail. I was on a tight schedule with tenants moving out and new ones moving in. He said he could get the job done in the tight time frame. I returned his call within a day. There was some discussion about adding tracks and screens during that phone call and we agreed that I could decide and let him know once the tenants were completely out. When I texted him June 30th to let him know the coast was clear, he texted back for me to confirm the address. I did so and he said he he was really busy and one of his employees hurt his arm. He said he needed to take a second look. I texted him on July 3rd when I heard nothing back. He said he did not have time for the tracks and screens but he said he could do the windows and gutters by the time the tenants move in. I confirmed. I then texted him on July 10 to see if he had been by the house. This is his response.." Wendy just so you knkow I will not be working on your property until the tenant has moved out 100%. I have ran into issues with renters before thanks for understanding" I responded that I didn't understand as they had been out since I texted him on the 30th of June. I offered to meet him at the property even for him to do the work. We only had a few days left before the tenant was moving in at this point. No response from Steve. On the July 14th, when the tenants moved in, I texted him to verify that he was not going to do the work he committed to. His response:" I never committed to doing the work I gave you a bid and it took you weeks for you to get back to me. I have a guy out on injury and I am now too busy. Sorry" I accepted his bid within a day or two of the original voicemail. His failure to do the work, or even say he couldn't do it early on left me in a bad situation and no time to get another contractor to do the work. read more
