Matthew is one of the very few people I have dealt with that understands business is still about people. He educated me on my specific situation and proposed an honest assessment along with a solution to my specific problem. In addition to lowering my anxiety and solving my problem, he went above and beyond by providing me with ideas and further insight on options to help identify water leaks before they turn into a nightmare. He also made recommendations on contractors for my kitchen restoration as well as home owner insurance companies. I've never met anyone as passionate about mold as Matthew. Enthusiastically, he explained how mold grows and what it does in order to multiply and protect itself. It was actually quite fascinating. There is no question Matthew gets it. He understands his business and he understands people. He listens to his customers, is empathetic, and he charges fairly. He responded immediately, listened, reduced my anxiety, educated me, and executed his work flawlessly. He is my "go to" for anything water damage related moving forward. ServPro who?!

So, when my portable AC leaked onto my flooring last night, I knew who I was going to contact. I called when they opened, and found out that he was booked for the next week. I decided to send him a message to see if there was a company he would recommend to me. He actually responded immediately and said that he'd be able to squeeze me in! You have no idea how grateful I was to hear that. He gave me two time options, and called me when he was on the way. I had no idea how much water had made its way into my flooring, so I was preparing myself for the worst. Turns out, it didn't end up being a catastrophe! Matthew used a thermal camera, and a moisture meter to inspect for moisture on the floor/subfloor and flex ducting. Once again, he was thorough at his job, and in his communication. It's difficult finding people that take pride in their work, are trustworthy, and do a great job. I've had quite a few companies do various types of jobs for me, and there are only two who I'd recommend. Mathew with Puget Sound Water Rescue is one of them!

The night before floor…read morecontractors were scheduled to come to our home, David cold-called us about replacing the flooring. He was able to come out that evening to provide an estimate, which we appreciated and accepted. We later discovered that this visit resulted in an after-hours charge of nearly $500, something we were not aware of at the time. While at our home, David discovered that some areas had not been completely dried by the first company. Because we had an active insurance claim, and with our permission, he immediately arranged for his crew to continue the drying process. At first, we felt he was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely focused on our needs. Our insurance company requested that a third party inspect and confirm some of the issues David had identified. David insisted on being present during that inspection. The situation was uncomfortable, and we were later surprised to see an additional $119 charge for his involvement. Five days later, we contacted the original company about their failure to completely dry the affected areas. They acknowledged the issue, wanted to make things right, and asked for the opportunity to earn our business back. We therefore notified Green Planet that we were ending their services. Unfortunately, this is when our experience changed considerably. The tone and attitude toward us became harsh and uncomfortable. Although we had understood that the mitigation work would be handled through our insurance claim, we were suddenly told the bill needed to be paid by us immediately. We were also contacted by a collections company and told that if the bill wasn't paid by Friday, a lien would be placed on our home. We were disappointed by the way the situation was handled. Our initial impression was that customer needs were the priority, but once we decided not to continue using the company, we felt the relationship changed dramatically. Our experience is ultimately a reminder to carefully review all charges and understand the payment terms before allowing work to begin--especially when insurance is involved. Updated Review -- Originally 2 Stars We initially left a 2-star review because of our experience with Green Planet during a water-damage situation. We had significant concerns about several charges on our invoice, the handling of our insurance claim, and the way our relationship changed after we decided not to continue with the company. After seeing our reviews, Green Planet reached out to us and asked for the opportunity to make things right. We had a lengthy conversation, they listened to our concerns, and they offered to refund $500, which represents the charges we had disputed. I appreciate that the company was willing to listen and take action. Because they made an effort to address our concerns, I have changed our rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. That said, I do want to be honest that this resolution came only after we had posted our concerns publicly. We had previously tried to resolve the issues directly, including asking the company to work with us while our insurance claim was being processed, but we did not feel heard at that point. I'm glad we were eventually able to have a productive conversation and reach a financial resolution. My hope is that Green Planet will take this experience to heart and improve communication with customers from the beginning--especially when dealing with stressful situations involving water damage and insurance. Our original experience was disappointing, but I do appreciate their willingness to come back to the table and try to make it right.

This left my husband and I in deep stress and helplessness. Quick Dry was quick to respond, bringing in their expertise, guidance, and highly-skilled knowledge to ensure our floors and walls were free from water damage and mold! Every week they would contact me to schedule visits to check on the progress of our dryness level. They never disappointed as they would show up at the time that they were scheduled. And they would work around our us whenever they wanted to schedule a visit. There were times when I was out of town for work and they would be so accommodating to me and my schedule - and their communication was on point!! And not to forget the amazing personalities and respect that they gave me and My Husband. They would come into our house with scrubs on (ant our request) and would be respectful of our property. And all the guys were well-mannered and very respectful - Something small, but impactful! Each and every person who came into our house for visits (there were several) were so polite! I took down as many names as I could, but If I forgot anyone, I do apologize. But some of the names of our technicians were: Mick, Jonathan S, Tyshawn, Genesis, Alexander, Jessie, David, Gavin, Nathan, and Tony. It took us over a month to find any contractor willing to repair post-demo and it was more difficult than necessary because the demo was far more extensive than required based on the small amount of water damage. The demo cut out the walls all the way to the edge of the shower, making the replacement of drywall extra difficult. They removed more floor tiles than necessary, claiming it would save from breaking tiles, but they still broke the adjacent tiles around the demo. When I called to inquire about what compensation there may be for the demo extending beyond initial and agreed upon area, the male supervisor patronizingly told me he "understood I was upset." As if only a hysterical woman would be frustrated with the demo work extending beyond the initial agreement and causing further damage and repair costs. This manager had zero interest in my complaints and was sexist as he did it. I kind of can't believe Seatown recommended this company. I have previously never had any complaints about Seatown, but by recommending this water mitigation service, they lead us into a $6000+ mistake. And now we have mismatched tile in our bathroom because the tile the Quck Dry representative said would be "easily replaced" cannot be found in the store and we couldn't afford to also rip out the entire floor. Do not work with Quick Dry Restoration. Do not believe recommendations. They will take your money and peace out. They don't care about the fallout.

Around midnight on July 4th, my family experienced one of the most terrifying and devastating events of our lives--a house fire. Thankfully, we all made it out safely, but we stood outside completely horrified and heartbroken, watching our home burn while knowing our two beloved cats were still somewhere inside. While the firefighters were still at our home, I received a phone call from Owen Guape. In the midst of complete chaos, Owen introduced himself in a calm, reassuring voice and simply told me that he could help. I was overwhelmed, distraught, and sobbing, but something about his demeanor gave me enough reassurance to say yes. Within 20 minutes, Owen arrived at our home with water for our family and immediately began offering comfort and support. By 9:00 the next morning, Owen and his team were back at our home, tarping and boarding it up to make sure it was secure. But what I will never forget is that Owen spent hours helping us search for and rescue both of our cats. Miraculously, they were alive, but terrified and hiding. His willingness to stay and help us find them meant more to our family than I could ever put into words. The kindness did not stop there. Owen personally delivered several of my husband's suits after they had been cleaned at their facility so that he would have clothing to wear to work. In the middle of everything we were dealing with, that level of thoughtfulness and personal care meant so much to us. Within days of the fire, several members of the Pacific Northwest Restoration team met me and our insurance company at the house to begin assessing the damage and inventorying both the structure and the contents of our home. They have worked seamlessly with our insurance company throughout the process, which has helped take an enormous amount of stress off our shoulders. On the contents and project management side, I have had the privilege of working closely with Rieley, Lana and Amanda, who have truly been by my side throughout this process. They consistently keep me updated on what their team is working on, explain the next steps, answer my questions, and have even coordinated multiple deliveries of our belongings to the rental home where we will be living while our house is rebuilt. Meanwhile, other members of the team have continued working at our home, removing debris and handling the ongoing cleanup. I often think about what would have happened if I hadn't answered that random phone call in the middle of the night during the scariest experience of my life. I am incredibly grateful that I did. Pacific Northwest Restoration has given my family something that is incredibly difficult to find after experiencing such a devastating loss: peace of mind. This is more than a restoration company. This is a team of people who understand that behind every damaged home is a family whose entire world has just been turned upside down. They are communicative, responsive, compassionate, professional, and, most importantly, they genuinely care about the people they serve. Without hesitation, I would recommend Pacific Northwest Restoration LLC to anyone who has experienced a fire or any other devastating event in their home. During one of the darkest and most overwhelming moments of our lives, this team stepped in and helped us begin putting the pieces back together. If you ever find yourself facing the unimaginable, you want people like Owen, Rieley, Amanda, Lana and the entire Pacific Northwest Restoration team standing beside you. You are truly in good hands with this company, and my family will forever be grateful for everything they have done--and continue to do--for us.

We contacted our…read moreinsurance company the following day, and they recommended Washington Water Damage & Cleaning Services. They arrived within about two hours and immediately got to work assessing the damage and setting up equipment to dry everything out. Unfortunately, some moisture in the walls and baseboards was missed. Two days later, the crew removed their equipment, and we thought the water-damage portion was finished. It wasn't until another company came in to prepare for our new flooring that we discovered there was still moisture. I contacted one of the owners, Scott, and explained what had happened. He asked us to give Washington Water Damage & Cleaning Services another opportunity to make things right. I was understandably hesitant, but we decided to give them another chance--and we are so glad we did. We had a HUGE party scheduled at our house for August 29th, so we were already working with a deadline. Once we realized the extent of the additional damage, we started getting nervous. Scott and the other owner assured us they would make our project a priority and do everything they could to get us back in our home before the party. And they absolutely did. One thing that made the process so much easier: insurance coordination Washington Water Damage & Cleaning Services coordinated with our insurance company so seamlessly that we didn't have to worry about paperwork, estimates, coverage, or communication. Dealing with water damage is stressful enough, and having that part handled for us took a huge amount of stress off our shoulders. The full meal deal One of the biggest advantages of this company is that they truly are the full meal deal. They have their own water-damage/mitigation crew, pack-out crew, and reconstruction crew. Having everything coordinated under one company made a huge difference. The reconstruction Reconstruction began August 17th. In just four days, their crew repaired drywall, sanded, primed, painted, and installed more than 900 square feet of new laminate flooring. The coordination and workflow of the crew was honestly impressive. James was fantastic to work with. He met us at the flooring store to help us choose our new flooring, guided us on where to look for paint colors, and was incredibly responsive whenever I texted him with a question or concern. James never over-promised a completion date. As I watched his crew make incredible progress, I asked if there was any possibility of finishing by August 20th so we could move back in August 21st and have the weekend to put our house back together before the party. He was understandably hesitant, but after seeing how quickly his crew was progressing, he asked them to work overtime to make it happen. And they did. The move back home We had originally been told our belongings wouldn't be moved back in until after our party due to a full schedule. James worked his magic again, pulling some strings to get the move-in crew scheduled for August 21st. I cannot thank him enough. Because of that, we were able to get our house put back together and have our big party at our own home on August 29th--something we weren't sure was going to happen just weeks earlier. One area that needs improvement I do want to be honest about one part of our experience: the pack-out crew. Several items were damaged during the pack-out/move back in, including a Scentsy warmer that is no longer readily available except on eBay, a tray table holder that is essentially irreplaceable because of its built-in shelf, my solid oak desk, and our IKEA TV stand. To Washington Water Damage & Cleaning Services' credit, they have agreed to pay for the repairs or replacements. The IKEA TV stand was particularly frustrating because putting the replacement together took more than 12 hours and three trips to IKEA. Normally, I wouldn't have minded having their crew handle it, but we were under such a tight deadline that we couldn't wait. The bottom line Was the process perfect? No. But what really impressed us was how this company responded when things didn't go perfectly. After the initial mistake, we were given an opportunity to have the company make things right--and they did. When they realized how important our deadline was, they made us a priority. They coordinated multiple crews, worked quickly, worked overtime, handled communication with our insurance company, and helped us get back into our home in time for our event. Our experience with Scott, James, and the reconstruction team was excellent, and we are genuinely grateful for their effort. Thank you, Washington Water Damage & Cleaning Services, for turning what started as a very stressful situation into one that ultimately ended very well. We are happy to give you five stars and would absolutely recommend you to others dealing with water damage. And a special thank-you to James--you went above and beyond for us.

And it was amazing to see the difference between what an honest company like Restorion sends the insurance company vs a dishonest company, which is what I had to deal with a few years prior. Also very helpful to have the water mitigation people also be the restorer, otherwise so many derails can be lost between the two companies. The restorer won't know what the basement looked like beforehand and that can lead to gaps. Also for dishonest companies I think they use the two separate companies to juice their returns and to do less restoring work.
