Sunny Brook Stables is an oasis in the middle of Marietta, a bit of a hidden magical farmland gem amidst urban hustle and bustle. As soon as you step onto the property, you automatically exhale, the body naturally relaxes and a big smile spreads across your face.  My 4 year old recently attended the Sunny Brook Stables Spring Camp and had an absolute blast. Not only is the farm setting, with the 14 horses, clucking ducks and chickens, munching goats and pot bellied pigs incredibly idyllic, but the people working there are also all so wonderfully warm and welcoming! My 4 year old quickly bonded with her camp counselor Trinity who is full of bubbles of laughter, warmth, enthusiasm and joy! My daughter has been constantly talking about her experiences there since and repeatedly asking to return. She attended on the recommendation of an older friend, and we're so happy we listened. You'll find that if you go on our recommendation, you too will soon be highly recommending it to others! read more

I was attempting to find a job at a stables somewhere because I love horses. I probably reached out to 20 stables but Sunny Brook was the only one that responded. Dr. Holman was very kind and considered and interviewed me. She took time out of her busy schedule to interview me and watch me ride, even though she didn't really need assistance. I didn't end up working there but I was thoroughly impressed with her incredible horsemanship skills. Small stable, and maybe not the best for birthday parties, but a kind staff and beautiful horses. read more

Took my daughter to a birthday party here a few weekends ago. To start, I had to park in a huge mound of horse poop. Literally had to scale my vehicle. Upon arrival, it was clear they had forgotten about the party. They took the kids through the stables (10 minutes) and then had them do "chores" for maybe fifteen minutes minutes more. Then the kids were left to "play" on their own. Which was them finding rocks and chasing each other. An hour and a half in, the other staff started to show up. It was abundantly clear that they forgot about our party. When confronted about the lack of supervision and activities, Ms. Holeman became very belligerent. Asked us if we expected her to entertain the kids for two hours. She then proceeded to argue with us in front of the children. Absolutely unprofessional. Our dear friends paid extra for a unicorn, which is now not an option on the website, and it turned out to be a white horse that was a "unicorn" hiding his horn because he didn't want others to know he was a unicorn. I would absolutely recommend that you not plan a birthday party here. They were unprofessional and very rude. If you can't even provide a unicorn for a little girl's birthday, your facility is not worth it. read more

I had an incredibly unprofessional experience for my daughters 5th Birthday here. The description of the party is quite vague and incredibly overpriced. You get to ride horses for an hour and then an hour in their pavilion. The pavilion is simply a wooden shed with tables. I have no idea how that could justify $150 which is half the price of the party. Dr. Grania also advertised that a theme could be purchased for an additional $100. We chose a Unicorn theme. This turned out being a white horse. Nothing more. My daughter left a $400 birthday party and asked me where the Unicorn was? I am not a person that takes time to write reviews. I am a working mother of 2 children - I don't have the time to do that. I followed up the day before my daughters party to find out if we could arrive a few minutes early to set up for a 10:00 AM Party. I got a response from Dr. Grania at 9:37 AM the day of the party asking me if we ever decided on a time to start. I wouldn't recommend Sunny Brook for a Birthday party venue. I accept the fact that my expectations for a Birthday party experience were different than theirs. I simply asked to be refunded for the $100 paid for a Unicorn Theme out of pure principle. Below is the response from the owner that I received. If you are looking for a great place to have a party like this I recommend East Cobb Stables. We've been to a party there and never once were were told multiple times that it was not their job to entertain our children - they actually seemed to genuinely enjoy having the kids there. Per Dr. Grania to my inquiry for the $100 Unicorn refund: "Your lack of follow up on your party or planning is not our concern. We did provide the unicorn and fulfilled that obligation, and that also took my trainers additional time. At the end of the day, your lack of follow up to determine what the party entailed was not our problem either." I am in Sales and I own a business. Not only was I told this put in writing but similar verbiage in front of my guests, parents, and children. This was off putting and put a damper on the total $400 experience. This might be a fine place for riding and training but they just are not set up to successfully host a Birthday party with this price tag. read more
