And stood there amazed as he CHOSE to veer off in a long arc toward me, coming in full tilt to a sit. I am still sort of in shock that he gave me priority. When I called he was 40 yards away from me and within four car lengths of the deer and he is a focused high drive dog. Thank you to our trainer Greg Houle. Never in my wildest dreams did I think he would stop chasing a deer that he had an excellent chance of catching and come to me because I asked him to. I am so grateful for In The Flow K-9 training, that he came, yes, but the WAY he came to me, eyes shining, leaving what was probably his heart's desire, full of happiness that I had called. He was 100% into the next thing that we were going to do togethe r, focused and looking up at me for direction. Making that bond between you and your dog the "something big", the "pay off" for your work, is what Greg's teaching is all about from the very first minute. I am 70 years old. I have had many dogs and used many methods to get to where I thought I wanted to be with them. This method is like the place where all the paths meet....like the pearl in the oyster.Over the last two years I have watched Greg guide little kids, teens, adults, seniors, into better relationship with their canine companions. He just kind of walks into the mess you've made with each other and tidys up the room! Everyone feels better. Everyone does better. Then, if you want to stick around, he can show you how he did it! We had one dog that was full grown and well-behaved when we got him. So we ruined that. He was…read moremedium-sized and kind-hearted so we managed. Then we rescued another full grown dog who wasn't small. She was wild and required a team just to walk her. We have been working with Greg and both dogs on and off since November. We aren't terrible consistent, but we do try. People have been stopping and applauding us for the noticeable changes in both dogs' behavior. I have actually had some success walking both dogs together. Life at home is much less frazzled, although there's still plenty to work on. What I really like about this training is that Greg is practical. The training is to the point. It's really sensible. Greg understands that people are busy, that some dogs have structure and other dogs have toys. He adjusts and supports as needed. Greg has a diverse background with a biology degree and has worked a broad spectrum of jobs. He takes his career seriously and gets things done pleasantly, timely, and correctly.

I thought it might be because of the heat wave we were having at the time, but when she got increasingly lethargic and started hiding, I got worried and called Chuckanut Valley. They got us right in! After quite a bit of poking and prodding, not to mention a full panel of tests, it was determined that my cat was likely just hot. It was a pretty expensive diagnosis, but I was relieved it wasn't something worse. The doctors and staff here are always so loving and kind. And while their prices are definitely premium (aren't all vets?) I do appreciate they have prescription meds on hand when I need them for my pets, and offer discounts if you offer full diagnostic panels. I am so happy to have found them!

I took her back and they said "correlation does not imply causation". It was all CYA. " not our problem ". The vet says he'll be right back. He goes out for 10+ minutes. I go to see what's going on. He was typing. My guess is that he is adjusting the report on the procedure. Ultimately my dog died. I'll never go back. And suggest the same for you.

That said, our experience was deeply concerning. Our dog has since been diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia and elbow issues, which has been heartbreaking to navigate. I am not saying that is puget sounds direct reflection but it means something .. When we arrived at the home, we were invited inside, but the conditions were extremely dirty. The dog was not present when we arrived, and we waited approximately 40 minutes for the owner's daughter to bring him. He was handed to us and carried rather than allowed to walk. Once we left and placed him on the ground, it was clear he struggled significantly--at four months old, it appeared as though he had little to no experience walking. His hindquarters were completely shaved while the rest of his body was not, which raised immediate concern. It appeared he may have been sitting in his own waste and not regularly cleaned. He was also dyed yellow; our veterinarian later informed us that Lime Sulfur Dip is commonly used to treat conditions such as ringworm. His ears were blackened from what appeared to be long-term lack of cleaning. During the long drive home, we had to roll the windows down in the middle of winter due to the strong odor. The medical records we were provided were handwritten on paper and barely legible, with vaccinations written in by hand and explained as being difficult to read because the "ink was out." While the owner was kind, she appeared to have significant mobility challenges and was unable to walk down the stairs, which raised concerns about her ability to safely and adequately manage multiple dogs. I regret not writing this review sooner, but I felt it was important to share our experience. I truly hope that other dogs were not treated similarly and that they are all healthy and well cared for.
