Thanks Juan and your team for the good job and timely responses!

Cleaning Pros was hired to deep clean selected areas of my home - BATHROOMS (3) including "dusting"…read moreperimeter of room near ceiling, fixtures, and floor, wiping down baseboards (not just dusting) and wipe down shelves of 5 CLOSETS, deep clean of KITCHEN cabinets (vacuum and wipe down interior; clean exterior, pantry, oven, refrigerator interior), and ENTRY tile. With new carpeting and hardwood floors, the cleaners were specifically instructed not to clean those types of flooring. What they did do is vacuum some of the newly carpeted rooms and mop the hardwood floor, even though they were told not to do that. Clean ceiling fans by waving a duster at them and dislodged a ceiling fixture which they conveniently pretended not to notice or mention. What they didn't do was actually clean some of the baseboards, missed at least 25% of the interior of kitchen cabinets, missed the downstairs cabinets, and were packed up and ready to go. I had to wave them down as they were getting into their very nice, new(er) SUV and have them clean the oven, as agreed with scheduler. In spite of being told the lead cleaner was 80% proficient in English, there was definitely a language barrier that affected the ability to understand what their instructions were. Just nodded and said yes and did what they wanted. What they did do well was cleaning the refrigerator, the washer, the oven (it was a mess), cooktop, and the bathroom (less the baseboards and ceiling area "dusting"), and scraped something off the kitchen floor (I still don't know what it was). They did arrive on time and wore shoe protectors, which was greatly appreciated. I spot checked and found a couple items which they addressed. All in all, I've had to re-clean many of the areas they were tasked to do (kitchen cabinets, downstairs cabinets, dusting near ceiling, downstairs flooring). What I didn't do was check 100% of the work. They were tipped which I now regret as I find more things not done or need re-doing. I have learned a lesson that if you can't do it yourself, then you should be with them 100% of the time to ensure they do the work they were hired to do.

I've been doing business with Precision Carpet Cleaning for about twenty years, back to when my…read morefriend, David Yoder, owned it. David's retired now and he's passed the business on to his son-in-law, Scott, who co-owns it with Doug. This is simply the best carpet cleaning company in the area. Not only do they do an outstanding job of cleaning carpets, but they use environmentally friendly products, and their customer service is simply fantastic. Invariably they arrive right at the appointed time, scope out the job, give you a price for it, and get right to work. As an example of their customer service, today Scott provided booties for us to wear on the damp carpet, and he offered to provide fans to help with the drying process. This is a really professional company that has excellent business practices and fantastic customer service. I give it my highest recommendation!

The first run was in November to clean the living/family room carpet which was a terrible dirty mess and the master bedroom carpet plus bathroom hardwood floors. Scott came out with the crew and they did a miraculous job, making the ~15 year old cut berber carpet look brand new despite the 8 years of indoor shoe-wearing leaving visible dirt trails! The hardwood bathroom floors turned out wonderfully shiny and the master carpet had its old funky smell removed. The second visit was to clean two sets of carpeted stairs, upstairs bedrooms, basement bedrooms, basement great room, clean the arm of a synthetic suede couch (to remove the skin oils), apply shine to the fireplace surround rock tiles, and clean and apply shine to the family room/dining nook/kitchen hardwood floor. Several permanent (we assumed) stains left by the prior owners in the basement berber carpet were handily removed by Doug's crew, as was the dirt trail from shoes on the berber stair treads. The cut berber and bedrooms in the upstairs all turned out great as well. The couch arm old-oily-grandpa residue cleaning was a fantastic success. The true miracle, however, was the family/dining/kitchen hardwood floor cleaning. This floor sees the most wear in the entire house and looked tired after decades of use. When Scott finished his work in this area, the hardwood looked refinished and beautifully glossy. We couldn't be happier. The change was truly transformational. And the shine coating applied to the stone tile surround on the fireplace was unbelievably gorgeous, bringing out all of the beautiful colors and texture of those stones. We had never imagined it could look that good! See the photos below. The third time we had Scott come out was to retouch that gorgeous hardwood floor which, for reasons that will remain unstated here, was scuffed within one week of the clean & polish by the couch legs. These were good 3 foot long scuff marks at least 1/2 in width, see the last photo below, if you dare. It makes me cringe. Doug was amazing, answering my frantic call about a quick fix on Sunday and working with me to fit in a visit when it worked for our schedule. Scott was amazing again when he came out-- he came out on short notice (two days later), cleaned and recoated a large fraction of the hardwood floor with their favorite shine product. The end result was that Scott's job blends perfectly at the edges and cured the scuff mark problem so that I can no longer tell where it was. Whew. Crisis averted! And since we had a lot of big and heavy furniture in the way, Doug and his guys set the legs up on foam block protectors or plastic circle protectors so that my husband and I didn't need to move anything for the full-house carpet cleaning. Doug's crews are meticulous and cautious, so they managed to do all of this work without crashing machines into our lovely wood furniture (a far cry from when I vacuum at home and the furniture takes a beating, in full disclosure). All of this work happened for fair prices, and the guys took care of us- providing a price break where they could afford to do so for the larger projects. Overall we could not be happier. I plan to call Doug and his guys when we need our next job done. I recommend you call Doug- you won't be disappointed!
