First I want to say the staffs and instructor were all Very…read morenice and professional. This review is about the manager and how she doesn't understand client needs when it comes to using their services. It shows this establishment is a very cookie cutter academy and best suitable for only kids less than 10 years old ( lanes were Very narrow aka cramped, my kid scraped his back and was bleeding) I called the ASA specifically to inquire if they are a good fit for my child's swimming lesson needs. I have explained in detail what level my child is at which he knows most of the strokes and has been playing waterpolo competitively. He now wants to join a competitive swim team which he wasn't able to bc he didn't know how to do flip turns and he is not very good at back stroke. We want to improve these areas specifically and we want to know if 1, they have a specific class that will fit this need, 2, he is a teenager so we need to know if he personally thinks the class will work for him. The girl offered a trial class and we showed up. She told me over the phone that this class will help with what he needs but ofc when we attended it was a class based on age and not skills. Clearly was not what we were looking for but as I was sitting there, a lady came by asked me what I was looking for bc she can see he was not a little kid and he can almost qualify to be an instructor based on how well he swam. After I explained our situation again which I didn't mind, she said they have a stroke specific class which will make more sense for him. I asked if we can do a trial class she said yes. And, again that's not the case bc when the front desk staffs tried to book one they needed a manager's approval. The manager refused and asked us to pay bc they only offer 1 trial class. I explained the situation being we attended an incorrect class etc then she insisted it doesn't matter bc trial class is to access what level he is at so one class will suffice.... THIS IS THE PART why I wrote this review. As a paying client who has to commit to at least three months of swimming lessons at $52/class, I should have the say so if the class, the instructor, the lessons are going to work for us. We also get to evaluate the school. But from the manager, it's a one way street even though the whole point of a trial class for us was to see if my child will get the training he needs. Not to mention we wasted our time driving to this class on a school day to which it doesn't work for us at all. Like she made it seem like I wanted to get another free class smh. I was even considering private lessons if the instructor was very good at helping my child! It's this type of poor management makes you lose business.

The staff is incredibly friendly and always quick to answer any questions or concerns, which we truly appreciate. My daughter has been swimming here for over a year, and her progress has been amazing. She has gained so much confidence and skill in the water. The instructors are supportive and encouraging--especially Julia, who has been wonderful with my daughter. They also have a fair makeup policy, which makes scheduling much easier for busy families. We're very happy with our experience and highly recommend American Swim Academy.

A) they say that the uniforms will be delivered two weeks after of submitting the order and will be delivered to their coach with two or three weeks after, to my surprise I was contacted by email three weeks after of sending the order of the swimming uniforms to confirm my daughter sizes, saying that after that it would takes another three to four more weeks for them to submit the order to be delivered. For the amount of money we pay: how is that possible they cannot provide at least one swim cap while the kids wait for their uniforms kit be delivered ??? B) that the children cannot leave until they have covered the pool which I do not see as bad, but to my surprise in one occasion I could see that only one child was trying to do alone while the other classmates were only talking and playing with each other and the coach was just watching sitting with his hands inside his pockets (man) which is very difficult and unfair to me because they have to leave much later than normal. And so I could list many other things that should not happen because it is supposed to be a serious place and less for the amount of money that as parents we have to pay but we do it because we believe that they will provide us with a fair space for the development and learning of our children.

The facility is clean, and it's perfect for my kids, who are 14, 10, 5, 4 and 10months old. I recommend renting your space ahead of time. Even with many people, there's so much to do that it doesn't feel crowded. We enjoyed the food too, especially the loaded fries, chicken strips, and strawberry lemonade. My family really had a great time, and there are plenty of lifeguards on duty.

I was disappointed with our visit to The Wave in Dublin. The lines for the water slides were…read moreextremely long, which was frustrating on its own, but what made it worse was how disorganized the staff seemed. The slide attendants would ask if anyone wanted to ride the light blue slide. My kids and I had been waiting in line, and after no one responded for several minutes, another family walked up. The dad said he wanted to ride the light blue slide, so the staff let him through. However, his child went to the dark blue slide instead--the one my child had already said they wanted to ride. We were next in line, the staff saw what happened, and they still allowed it. It felt like my family was skipped. This wasn't an isolated incident either. While we were there, I saw similar situations happen to other families, where people who hadn't been waiting in line ended up getting on the slides ahead of others. It made the line system feel unfair and poorly managed. The rules also weren't enforced consistently. One staff member told me I couldn't wear my goggles on the slide, even though I'd worn them there before without any issues and other staff members never said anything. It was confusing because different staff members seemed to enforce different rules. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unfair. Better line management and consistent enforcement of the rules would make a big difference.

There's a moment that happens almost every day we spend at this pool. I look up from my chair and…read moresee my kids, ages 7 and 9, completely absorbed in something simple: a game of tetherball, having lunch in the sun, playing "marco polo". No screens. No "I'm bored." Just kids being kids. That's what this place gives you, and it's why I can't recommend it enough. First, the practical magic: it's never crowded. You can actually find a chair, the kids can actually swim without bumping into anyone. But what really sets it apart is the people. This isn't just a pool, it's a community. Families share their pool toys, kids fold new friends into their games within minutes. Everyone is genuinely kind and welcoming, and you feel it the moment you walk through the gate. We can spend the whole day there if we have time, and several of my kids' friends usually join. They swim, they eat lunch on the grass, they climb the trees, they play volleyball and tetherball until they're pleasantly worn out. It brings you back to a simpler time, when childhood didn't need to be complicated. Just a pool, some open space, a few outdoor games, and their imaginations take it from there. It's my kids' favorite place in the summer, and watching them this happy and content is worth everything. What also gives me confidence as a member is how seriously the club takes reinvesting in the experience. This year they're upgrading the bathrooms and the pool decking, and there's more already in the works. It's clearly a members-first operation; they're always looking ahead at how to make it better for the families who call it home. This membership has given my kids a place to be free, active, and genuinely joyful, and it's given our family a community we didn't know we were missing.
