We did to want to do the nude portion of the spa. We spent four hours at King Spa. WE checked out all the rooms plus the ICE room. It was so relaxing and I did fall asleep a few times. Upstairs they have the Meditation rooms . Those rooms are the Oxygenated room and an infra red room. On the first floor they have a theater room, a salt room, a gold room, a sun room, a charcoal room, other rooms and a cafeteria area. You can also pay for a massage. When we went on a weekday night, it wasn't crowded, so it was good. The rooms are interesting and generally relaxing. The spa services are expensive. Like the foot reflexology is more than double the places I've been. My friend did really enjoy her scrub, so if you get a service, they are good. Look, I think it's important to pay people a good wage and I value spa services, but these just seemed high.

She carefully used the skin protecting balm around my hairline to protect my skin from staining. She also evaluated my previous single process color done at LifeSpa-Northbrook and we chatted on my likes/dislikes. Unfortunately the previous stylist at LifeSpa-Northbrook do not enter colors in the computer system and when I asked the Manager at LifeSpa Northbrook, her idiotic response was: " ...it's like you asking for the formula of a Tiffany perfume!"---Really??!! EXCEPT that formula is ON MY HEAD!! Atorena was very reassuring and explained that a good colorist can evaluate hair and match color very well or even gradually change it if one feels it needs to. She carefully mixed, saturated my naturally curly hair with color and used a plastic cap to cover the hair. The results were terrific. My grey coverage was even and precise without stains on my face/neck/skin like previous at Northbrook LifeSpa salon. Her rinsing off the color and shampoo/conditioning process was very good to ensure no residual color remains on my scalp!---Lifetime Northbrook salon shampooing is a hit or miss making it impossible to enjoy a blowout without an itchy, color ridden scalp! She also said she will enter color in the computer system. Her blow dry was beautiful. She is very masterful with the Round Brush Technique after I showed a photo of how I like volume and bounce at ends. During her blow-dry, she did not pull my hair and it seemed effortless. I cannot believe how great ALL of the staff were to my staff at Jacobson & Tsou Orthodontics from the Chicago office last weekend. Our bosses treated us to a spa day. In which Lifetime offered us the day to use as a membership pass. We not only had an excellent spa treatment, but we also were able to use their basketball courts, workout area, sauna, pool, etc. We were even given complimentary treats after our Spa treatment. The manager from the Spa, Tayag Nikko, was very polite and accommodating for our needs. He went above and beyond what I expected as a non member for this health club. I truly appreciate every staff member at this location and would like to return someday as a member with my staff, family and friends. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, dim lighting, peaceful music, and even a heated table. By the end, I sincerely felt so much better. I visited The Now on my birthday for my first ever massage, which came as a gift. I arrived on time, but my massage was started late and then shortened by 15 minutes without anyone letting me know ahead of time. The service was booked as a 25 minute massage, with an added scalp massage as well. It ended up being about 10 minutes total for $100. My partner who booked the massage initially called to check in on the error, and was met with hostility and was told there was video surveillance of me arriving late and also a video of me being told the service was shortened. This is not true, and we obviously would not have called The Now for explanation if that had been the case. I work in customer service and was baffled by The Now's response and failure to take accountability. I later called to speak to management directly and was told a manager would call me back same day. I was never contacted again, and it has been over a week. Lincoln Square is full of so many amazing and independently owned businesses, and The Now has decreased the warmth of this lovely neighborhood with their corporate dishonesty. We have let our friends and neighbors know that this is the case with The Now, and will be pursuing privately owned massage businesses from here on out.

For those who do not know, you remain fully clothed for this massage. Wear comfy clothes where you can roll up the legs - remove shoes and socks, jewelry, and glasses. This massage starts with you on your back with your feet soaking in a tub of comfortably warm water, while the therapist works your face, head, neck, arms, and hands. Next, the therapist dries your feet and massages feet and legs, thoroughly working through all the reflexology points. Then you flip over to lie on your stomach, where therapist continues work on legs and back to finish. The therapist I had knows what he is doing and did fantastic work, checking in with me along the way to make sure I was OK. I was, but am confident he would have made adjustments if I was uncomfortable at any time. I was happy to pay him $20 tip on top of the $40 massage. $60 was still a complete bargain to me for an excellent 60-minute massage. I paid cash. I know they appreciate it. They do take cards. I believe they request cash tip, though.
