I am a very dissatisfied customer. If I could put a zero I would. The candy, itself, was not the problem. It was how it was packaged for delivery. I ordered 2 pounds of almond toffee. I was shocked when I opened the box. This candy came in a plastic bag with a tie all on top of each other, with bubble wrap on top so it would not move. It was not in a tin or even a plastic container with a top. I have ordered candy from many, many catalogs. This never happened with anything edible . As far as I am concerned it was packaged like a bag of popcorn or jelly beans. For what I paid, which I didn't mind, couldn't your company afford some sort of solid container with a lid for shipping. We'd been going to the supermarket to get packs of nuts - our nut mix was delicious but pricey. I had to find a place that sold fresh nuts at a better price. Last year I bought delicious Schley pecans from Sunnyland farms - I figured I'd check them out. Wow! My first order I got a 2 lb.+ box of P'Nutty Mix - Spanish and Virginia peanuts, Mammoth pecans, almonds, hazelnuts and mini Brazil nuts.I also ordered a few pounds of shelled lightly salted pistachios and added it to the mix. We went through the nuts so quickly that 4 weeks later I ordered a bulk box of Heavenly Mix - giant macadamias, pecans, cashews and almonds. They each were so fresh. The nuts were huge and dry roasted - no oily hands! I also ordered Mission figs and Medjhul dates - they were like eating caramel jam. No leather exteriors here and the fig seeds were so tiny I hardly noticed them - loved that! They had holiday specials - we gifted their free chocolate pecan caramels to a friend and pistachio chocolate bark to another! If they are as fresh and tasty as their nuts and fruit, I know they're delicious. What BLEW ME AWAY was today I got another package of Heavenly Mix and a letter. They accidentally added lightly salted macadamia nuts to the mix. When they realized it they stepped up and sent salt-free replacements. I got pounds of jumbo macadamias, cashews, pecans and almonds - because they wanted to be sure their customers were happy. Cool. I'm feeling the love. We're enjoying mineral-and-protein-filled snacks. And I love the honesty and care that Sunnyland provided. So I'm going to keep buying nuts and fruits from them. read more

Last year I placed three Christmas orders on Dec.7/22 with Sunnyland Farms, unfortunately two orders ( order #536304 and #536320 ) weren't delivered until Jan./23 after numerous attempts by me to have them find the orders that they had lost. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and they replied that they had sustained a kitchen fire on Thanksgiving Day and that was the reason for the delays. They never mentioned that they had also lost the orders. They replaced the delayed shipments and issued refunds, but the surprise of the Christmas gifts was lost. I continued to receive emails from Sunnyland Farms, and decided to give them another opportunity since I had previously enjoyed their products. On Dec. 13/23 I placed an order ( order #542895 ) online expecting that the recipient would receive it before Christmas. When I received my credit card statement on Jan./24 I was surprised to see that they had refunded my account on Dec. 14/23 for the amount they had billed me on Dec. 13/23. I called Customer Service to ask why Sunnyland Farms didn't have the decency or courtesy to notify me that they had canceled the order which was a Christmas gift, and I was informed that because I had filed a complaint with BBB the previous year they had canceled it. The strange thing was in their reply to my complaint with BBB they ended it with "We are grateful you allowed us to serve you and hope you allow us to do so again in the future". I have had no problems with what I have previously bought from Sunnyland Farms, but I find it sad that they would operate with such a dysfunctional order department that directly affects their business. read more

I ordered a Pecan pie to be sent to my friends in California for Thanksgiving. I said I wanted it to arrive the Tuesday or Wednesday of Thanksgiving week. Two weeks before Thanksgiving, I got an email saying it had been shipped!!!! It got to California Wednesday. In other words, they got a week old pie a week before Thanksgiving. If i had known, i would never had done business with them. I wouldn't do this again. read more

Sunnyland has large fresh nuts, as well as excellent Turtles and Pralines. The prices are very reasonable and shipping is included. We just received an order of one of my favorites: Heavenly Mix - no Brazil nuts or peanuts! I like Peanuts OK, but I prefer not to have them in mixed nuts. We also ordered some salted pecans, to be eaten out of hand. Those have been placed in Zip Loc Bags and placed in the freezer for later. I know they will be good, as we have been ordering from Sunnyland since the early 90's, and we always look forward to receiving our package from them. read more

Their nuts are great. I order them frequently, but beware of the "Honey Kissed - Roasted Pecans". They look and taste good, but they are VERY sticky. I put some out in a bowl for friends and they stuck together almost immediately. When they are picked up to eat, the sink is the next order of business to wash off the sticky residue. Some items are only offered certain times of the year. So it would be smart to start your search in advance. Find them online, you can shop there or you can request a catalog and shop that way. Moving on to another holiday candy source after many years. My mom ordered from Sunnylands when I was a child and this tradition has carried over to all my siblings since. They now have minimum orders for the do-it-yourself bags, which I think is ridiculous. All in an effort to gouge the customer to spend more money on their already inflated prices. The web site for ordering is HORRIBLE. Defaults date to present when future date was selected, won't accept quantities, have to constantly include address and have to start over. Spent 3 days to do work around. Not worth time and effort. Talked to customer service and never received an apology and justified every issue I had. Not empathetic or understanding. Once you try any of their nuts, you will never buy canned or bagged nuts. They are amazingly fresh and taste delicious. The Heavenly Mix is correctly named. The salted and toasted almonds are to die for. I have been a customer for several years when I was given their catalog from my mother, an avid home -baker. Years ago, we received a tin of mixed nuts from Sunnyland Farms as a Christmas gifts. They were good, but I didn't ever order them for myself. I recently ordered/received pecans in the shell. I estimate that about 50% of the nuts were not ripe or spoiled. I also ordered pecans a couple of years ago from Sunnyland with similar results. All pecans in the shell that I have ordered, regardless of the source, had some spoiled or none ripe nuts. However, the two orders to Sunnyland resulted in significantly larger amounts of spoiled or none ripe nuts. read more

Roasted cashews and almonds are top-quality. Well worth the price. The almonds have a depth of flavor which I have not encountered in a long time. The folks at Sunnyland actually highlighted my delivery instructions with a bright yellow magic marker and drew big red arrows on the outside of both packages. The UPS delivery person must have noticed the vibrant colors, because the boxes were delivered them to my apartment door as I requested, not dumped in our mailroom, as is usually the case. Someone sent me a Heavenly Mix tin of nuts for Christmas years ago. I can't remember now who and their records don't show anymore. But what a wonderful gift. The nuts are very large and perfect and unlike cans of nuts from the drugstore, they also have Macadamia's. I figured out the cost of drugstore nuts are about the same price and they are not nearly as good as Sunnyland's. For example, if you buy a 10 oz can for $5.99 that is 50% peanuts, you're getting 5oz of mixed nuts (w/o Macadamias) for $4.50-$5.00. Which translates into $15 a pound which is the same price that Sunnyland will send you much better quality nuts. (free shipping too). As others have said, once you try their nuts, you won't want anyone else's. I didn't care for the dark fruit cake, it was okay. I couldn't possibly say it was bad, it just wasn't what I like. I haven't tried the light fruit cake. The dried fruits and pies are wonderful, but expensive. They even mill the flour the same day they put it in the cake batter! I am going to write to them and ask why the granola is $18 a pound ($56 for 3 lbs.) Oh, one last thing. This is one of the very few companies that what you actually get delivered to your home looks exactly like the photos in their catalogue or online. read more

These are the best pecans in the world. They are big, fresh, and delicious. Nothing... absolutely nothing... in the grocery store compares. Grocery store pecans are inedible.
