I went…read moreon a Saturday afternoon just around lunch time and it was pretty easy to find and drive to. The lot was pretty busy but we quickly found a parking spot. Once there, it was a little confusing to figure out where to go for peach picking as there's so much happening (food truck, ice cream, boiled peanuts, fresh produce, other u-pick produce like blueberries and wildflowers) but the staff was super nice and pointed us in the right direction! (Side note: before picking, we hit the restrooms which were Port-a-potties. They were fine but just fyi and bring hand sanitizer!) For peach picking, we paid $30/bucket which was a totally fair price for the amount of peaches we were able to pick! (My group of 5 split a single bucket and brought more than enough home). The picking was good and the staff was super helpful with telling us how to pick and what to look for in good fruit. We brought our own bags but they also offered paper bags which was nice. After, we had both the strawberry and peach ice cream! The peach ice cream was honestly pretty mild but the strawberry ice cream was SO GOOD and creamy and hit the spot after picking. Overall, such a great experience fruit picking and highly recommend if you can go!

It's small and just by the wayside, but it has locally farm-grown fruit, vegetables, specialty and locally brewed ciders, cooking sauces, smoked meats, desserts, and snacks. I pick up some of the Scuppunong Ciders, Old-Fashioned Apple Cider, and some fresh tomatoes and skins. It looks so much like some of the local markets I would visit as a child with my parents and Grandmother, so I was in the midst of all kinds of nostalgia here. The owner is so sweet and welcoming, and she was very accommodating. This place is the epitome of Southern and Georgia-grown delicacies, and I'm so pleased that I'll have the chance to visit often. A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!
