I have received several service reports from Sunray claiming services were performed on my pool when those services were not actually performed. When I bring the issue(s) to Sunray's attention, Sunray apologizes and sends someone out to correct the mistake(s). I no longer have any confidence that the Sunray service reports are accurate. I have to go out and check everything myself. My pool does not get fully cleaned unless I email the office and complain. read more

these guys are the third-party dispatched to repair my pool light still under warranty. my issue, light turns on but at some point goes off... i explained that to them as well as Blue Haven Pools... (don't use them either). Anyway, they didn't replace the light becuase it turned on and stayed on for approx 45 mins. the technician took off without saying anything, didn't even know he left. next morning (this morning) got a nice bill from them. for $100.. WTF? i was charged a non-warranty service call... wow, do you really think i would have agreed to this BS in advance, a non-warranty service call? The whole purpose Sunray got involved was because IT WAS A WARRANTY CALL. (oh wait, it's our policy). anyway, this morning the light went out almost immediatley when i turned and captured it on video... They claim their policy is efficient. lol, let me see... you could have fixed the light on your initial visit. instead you now have to waste more gas and man hours because F what the customer says, customer says "light needs replaced it's no good", Sunray shows up and says "no, your light works fine".... yeah ok, that's why you are coming back to replace it and recalling the stupid invoice you sent, AND MORE poor reviews!!!! ..... yeah your policy is working perfectly, don't change a thing..... what a joke. horrible customer service. read more

SUNRAY POOLS -- ZERO STARS IF I COULD If you care about your pool, your money, and your sanity -- stay far away from Sunray Pools. Here's what happened: * Their tech came to my house, couldn't close my filtration capsule, and decided to hit it with a rock (yes, a rock!) to force it closed. * He broke it. * I caught the entire thing on video. * He called the office, admitted what he did, and they told him to leave -- without fixing anything. * He left my pool OFF and just drove away. When I called the office, I got Justin -- the owner's son. He was dismissive, rude, and acted like this was no big deal. He didn't care that I had proof on video, didn't apologize, and didn't offer a solution. To make things worse, he admitted they never noted in my account that I have a saltwater pool, even though that was the first thing I told them when I signed up in June. So now I'm left with: * Damaged equipment * A pool that was shut off * A company that refuses to take responsibility Sunray Pools is unprofessional, careless, and completely unreliable. There are plenty of pool companies in San Antonio -- don't waste your time with one that will make your situation worse and then pretend it's not their problem. RUN. Paid for full service on my pool. Had cameras installed 2 weeks later and found this was the "full service." Yelp doesn't allow the whole video, but guy in red truck pulled in, took a picture of the pool, dumped a jug of something in the pool, and said see you later to the guy working on my garage. Literally spent less than 60 seconds at my property. I called immediately. Spoke to Jamie who wanted to argue with me about the report not being a bill. Ok didn't know what you wanted to call it. Who cares. He offered no apology or resolution. He said he would speak to the manager. I waited all day for an update. Nothing. We were assured someone would come out today. My husband took the day off to be home for this, no one showed up so he called to find out what time they would be out. They said someone called in and they couldn't send anyone else out for another two days. They didn't bother calling to let us know any of this, very unprofessional. Look elsewhere. read more

Terrible service. Don't waste your money. They do not care about your pool. We paid for full service and only had the pool vacuumed twice. We used them for about 8 months and water quality has progressively gotten worse. Water was always cloudy and the tech would put it in the notes but never do anything about it. Finally requested a service tech to come look at the filter because we kept getting sand in the pool. Tech says everything looks good but maybe you need a sand change, we will send you a quote. Never got a quote. Finally called two other companies for a second opinion. They tested our water in front of us and the pH was through the roof! We also needed a new filter. If we had continued service with them, they probably would have ruined our equipment due to chemicals being so out of balance. The cherry on top is when I told them to cancel my service they didn't even bat an eye. "Yes sir, the account has been closed." Didn't even care to know why. had trouble keeping my pool clear consistently and i was paying for chemical service only. being the novice i decided to switch to full service assuming i am doing something wrong so id let them handle it going forward. service just got worse. pool tech reported coming by to service on monday, but nobody ever came by (i have a nest camera as proof) i called to ask for my service and Jaime and the service manager both really rude jerks, wouldnt even hear it. they said he was there. either way pool is still turning green and nobody ever serviced the pool and i got charged for service anyway. really dissapointed in SUNRAY. didnt even attempt to hear you out or make it right. Just received a invoice for a replacement part to my Compool Easy Touch. $1,619.45!!!! They billed me $1,371.32 for a part when I paid $899.00 for the whole thing brand new! When I called to discuss and to make sure this wasn't a mistake was treated rudely! I asked to see what their cost was for the part (understanding most will mark up a little) and was told they would not show me that! After 7 years my business was nothing to them. I took several estimates(only free ones tho) on having my pool resurfaced and was the most impressed with Mr Ralph Fike. I highly recommend him to do an honest and thorough job. He treats all his customers like gold. Isaiah and the demo crew were very professional and the resurface team were quick and were filling my pool at the end of their first work day. I feel like I have a brand new pool. They are my chemical company now and come weekly with their own chemicals at a very reasonable monthly rate. Used to be reasonable good service. Chemical services continue to escalate but service continues to be marginal. I find all chemicals/ powders on ONE side of the pool and ingredients have caused my remodeled and painted pool to deteriorate. Locked gate left open. Customer service is the worst. Staff argumentative and obviously don't need clientele. I paid my bill a couple of times with my bank card and then noted deductions made from my bank account without my knowledge or permission. Minor repair called in. Was given a ridiculously high bill to install a part that cost a couple of dollars. Repair done without my approval AGAIN. Very rude and condescending to customers!!! read more

I have never written a review before, but I think this may help others ask the right questions before they decide to replaster their pool. In May of 2019, I hired Sunray Pools to replaster my pool which we built in 1993. It didn't' need replastering, but a rebar poked out the deep end and was causing an ugly rusted stain. I was never given a choice of the plaster content, and I presumed it would be the same as before; a plaster marble mix (Marcite) which lasted 16 years. After only 4 years and 4 months, I noticed pits all over the sides and bottom of the pool. They may have been there for some time, but I only noticed them because in the heat of this summer my pool developed algae which got into the pits and was almost impossible to brush out. I contacted Sunray several times and sent them photos, and after 2 weeks, Ralph came out to inspect my complaint. He told me that my plaster was "low end" because over the last 10 years the marble is being imported from Mexico, whereas before it was from a quarry in Texas, therefore it would only last 8-10 years. They are now using a quartz mix. I was never advised that I had a choice, nor was I told that the plaster was inferior. He said that the pits were probably caused by poor pool chemistry, but I know that except for bouts of high cyanuric acid, the chemistry was the same for this plaster as for the original finish, which never developed pitting. He said that I had no recourse, since they only guarantee the plaster for 1 year, so I can either live with it or replaster again. I learned a valuable lesson: never presume, question and question again. read more
