Apple fritter, glazed donuts and peanuts with maple glazed.
    Hoa N.

A nice quiet and clean donut shop tucked in a corner of a small strip mall in Bloomington. Found this place by accident when going to Chan Oriental Market for Asian groceries. Prices are reasonable and friendly service. Although, the donuts have a strong oil smell and taste. This is the only place I could find that has real peanuts on maple glazed donuts which are my husband's most favorite kind.

Very saddening, I saw all the photos online and was super excited to try. I get here and they are completely sold out of raised donuts by 9:35 AM. They're open until noon, but didn't bake anymore. I don't see longevity within this establishment due to lack of fulfillment. They old had cake donuts left.

I love finding new donut shops to check out. This one's been on my list for a while! So glad I went to check it out! They have a good variety of flavors and styles. Cake, raised, jelly filled, cream filled, you name it. I went at 630am and there were plenty of options...however they do close early if they sell out! I ordered the Bavarian cream filled, the maple glazed long John, and a white frosted cake donut (can't go wrong there!). All were so good. They had blueberry glazed, coconut shaved topping, strawberry filled, Apple fritters, so many options that I NEED to go back and try!

Best doughnuts in the Twin Cities! And NOT closed as someone falsely stated below!! Better than Bogarts, Glam Doll, and other popular places.

Hidden on the side of a strip mall is this gem of a bakery. This is the type of place that closes at noon or closes earlier if they sell out. It's a very simple interior with just a couple tables to enjoy your treats, most people grab and go. The donuts are flavorful and you always can count on finding something you like. The staff are so kind and helpful. I am all about service and this place goes above and beyond.

Mmmmm! Look at this wonderful goodness! Brand new customer for life! Love this donut shop!

I'm a fist time customer! I love the donuts! You now have a customer for life! The apple fritters are sooooo good!

Best donuts in the Twin Cities. Get there early as they sell out. (Any really good donut place sells out before closing!)

Old school classic donut shop. Nothing special, and it was kind of dirty and dingy inside. The place could use a coat of paint for sure.

The doughnuts were pretty good but Soga in St Paul has better. The service was lacking and the place felt cold and dark. Longer version: This is located in a strip mall. Walking in there is very little decoration, a few games and just a dark/cold vibe. There are so many doughnut shops that create fun/colorful/beautiful vibe! This is not that place. The staff here were quiet and barely said a word. Quite frankly, I would have rather order off a screen like other places. The doughnuts were good but not great. While I was there, they were putting out more doughnuts, so may be mine were just older and not as fresh. The Cheetos mozzarella and potato half/half were good! I did enjoy those! Overall, I will not be returning. There are just too many other spots in the TC that are fresh and fun!

While this place is relatively small (as one would expect a hole-in-the-wall donut shop to be), they've made impressive use of the space, as there's plenty of tables and chairs to sit at (even a couple on the outside of the establishment, for warmer temperature seasons than presently, aha). It was clean and modern. The employee working behind the counter was friendly and matched my enthusiastic energy, which was appreciated. There didn't seem to be a huge selection of donut varieties available (though I was also there after 11am, which might have something to do with that... this place is open until noon or until they run out of product, whichever comes first), but plenty enough to give me difficulty choosing which to get! All the donuts/baked goods seemed to be priced at $2.50 each. Not an outrageous sum, though more than I'd like... I fear the days of the $1 donut are nothing but a distant memory nowadays. Anyway, I grabbed two donuts and went on my merry way home. The employee put them in a nice wax paper coated baggie. The flavor of the donuts was good. Not addictively incredible, but yummy. There's a decent chance I'll be stopping by in the future simply because this place is along a route I typically take for running errands, and my sweet tooth may compel me to "reward" myself for running said errands, hehe!

All of the donuts here are wonderful - there is a large selection of cake and raised donuts, with different flavors rotating throughout the year. I have ordered 2-3 dozen to bring into work multiple times, and each time I get questions and remarks on how fresh and delicious they are. If I am in the mood for savory, a personal favorite of mine is the breakfast croissants: warm and oozing with cheese, ham, or spinach! Although my go-to is the chocolate croissant; I eat it almost weekly! The bakery also makes and decorates special occasion cakes. I recently ordered a Princess Torte for a friend's birthday, and it was a hit! I always feel welcomed at this bakery, no matter how busy or quiet a day it is. You can truly feel the love and warmth (and smell the deliciousness!) of the staff and community that frequently return as regulars. The prices are some of the best around, too!

Bonus: for Wuollets lovers, they have many of the favorites you thought you'd never get again after Wuollets closed. My partner loves the donuts while I'm a fan of the gooey butter bars and fruit tarts. The cookies are also great. I do miss the ambiance and small business, cash only experience of the original Bakers Wife, but the convenience of tap pay is nice. The Chocolate Mousse for 2 and Princess Torte we picked up for Father's Day were great. The sugar cookies with the thin frosting are also delicious. The tiramisu wasn't quite right - the lady fingers were too dry. We wanted to try something new, but that one didn't quite work for us.
